Avid lover of this place but it's changed :/ I would regularly come before every movie which is every weekend for me but recently I went and the menu was all AI generated. Unrealistic pictures that did not match what the food actually looked like. For $40+ for only 2 people (the most Iv ever spent here) I would expect better, not cheaper alternatives especially when you're showcasing these fake pictures that aren't what you're actually serving. Bring back the old menu with the real pictures of the food and the old fries and my heart is yours but for now i'm devastated at these changes :( read more

The staff is so nice not sure if it's the manager or owner but he keeps it nice and clean and that's a big deal for me. My family recently moved from the Sacramento area. As you may know, Sacramento has a really famous taco stand (Chando's) with a highly regarded mulita specialty. We love love, love Mexican food and one of our top priorities when we move to Brentwood was finding a replacement that's consistently high quality. We definitely found that at Que Onda Taco Bar (and we've affectionately dubbed it "taco bae"). Everyone in my family has fairly specific tastes that are all varied, but Que Onda allows everyone to customize exactly what they want using the really simple online ordering portal. The menu and pictures make it really easy for indecisive children as well. At this point, we have ordered pretty much everything on the menu. We were particularly big fans of the refried beans, mula, and papa loca, but everything we've tried has been tasty and modifications are almost always done correctly too. The only real complaint we have is how greasy the chips and house made queso are. If you are sensitive to grease, I recommend staying away from the queso sauce because you literally have to drain the grease out in the sink (ick!). (Is fairly new probably less than a year) it was actually pretty good, is like a Chipotle concept, but a bit more authentic Mexican food fusion. I came in for dinner, the customer service was good, I did asked the guy that was helping me to cut my burrito in half , but he must of forgotten, it happens, luckily for me Nathan was happy to fix it , although he wasn't helping me originally. We just moved into the area and was trying to find some local eats rather than your typical fast food chains. We saw that Que Onda was family owned and in the Streets of Brentwood, so we decided to give it a shot. We came in during a slow afternoon weekday, so there was plenty of parking and no crowds. We went in blind so we were pleasantly surprised to see they made their own tortillas for the tacos. STEP 2 FILLINGS: We didn't know you can choose what goes in your taco/burrito. So you can choose what meat, cheeses, veggies, sour cream, etc you want. I guess similar to "Chipatoplet" After I had finished choosing the fillings, my burrito was huge! The burrito was a carne asada burrito with the all the fixings, and pollo asado tacos. STEP 3 DRINKS/PAYMENT: They have offer beers on tap, soda, and agua fresca. We chose to drink the Mango Pomegranate aqua fresca. They accept cards or cash. You can also join their rewards which includes discounts, free burrito, etc. (non stackable) RESTAURANT REVIEW: From what I saw, there were 2 or 3 workers in the store. One person manning the front of the house, and 2 BoH. The girl taking care of the front was really friendly and nice, and they are the ones who prepare your meal in front of you. She was pretty fast. She almost forgot a food, but quickly remembered, apologized, and gave it to us. It was just already made and just wasn't in the bag, so no biggie. Overall, my service that day was excellent. FOOD/DRINK REVIEW: We first tried the mango pomegranate, and it was delicious. It had a nice balance taste and was not too sweet or bitter. It was refreshing on that warm day. Just went in earlier and they were very nice and my food was done correctly and how I asked it to be made! I got some beef burrito slow cooked beef. Her burrito was almost 3 times the size of mine I'm full with half of a burrito or a little over half. So was she. They gave us silverware napkins to go container and chips and salsa which many places just pass up every last thing I just listed. I appreciate it so I will definitely be back when I want another burrito only thing I don't like is there $13 each. But they're good so I guess it's worth it. The only thing I didn't like was some of the jalapeños weren't spicy at all they just tasted like a bell pepper :( I just pulled them out of there because it made me a little bit sick. Went here for dinner before the movies and it was busy. It is nice to see the tortillas being made fresh while you wait to order. I got the tacos and cheese enchiladas with pinto beans and rice. Unfortunately, the cheese wasn't melted. I have been to this place Twice! Both times, we thoroughly enjoyed! I ordered the Torta BOTH TIMES since it was so good. My children had the "Children's bowl" which consisted of : rice, their choice of beans, their choice of meat, and any toppings. I looked over at someone's churro order and it comes with a gorgeous flower on the plate (so I will order that next time. The lines move quickly! The workers are all so kind.
