NYE DEC 2020: Friend: Have you been to Que Onda Tacobar? Me: No.. I've never heard of it where's it at? Fried: Pinole.. By Cold Stone.. hella good tacos.. hella different toppings.. quesabirra tacos.. it's like a subway for tacos/burritos.. Me: LOVER OF TACOS/BURRITOS (interest peaked!) whaaat there's a new taco place in Pinole??? let's go! That's pretty much the short version of how my introduction to Que Onda Tacobar went and they now have a new loyal customer! The space is very big and was very clean.. All Covid precautions (masks, cleanliness, plexi glass, floor spacing, blocked seating, proper signage etc.) we're taken. You walk up to the smaller glass window where the tortillas are being heated on a griddle and order what you want (not sure if the man I ordered with was the owner, but he was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable/The restaurant seemed to be family owned & run). I ordered a burrito with a Spinach Tortilla. (I appreciate that they have soooo many meat options and pescatarian options besides shrimp). So to the BEST part of my experience here.. what went into my burrito.. I had Grilled Fish($2 extra) and Shrimp ($2 extra), Jack cheese, grilled veggies, black beans, grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, regular jalapeños, pico, guacamole, Mexican Crema & their hottest salsa. All of the food was flavorful. They DO NOT skimp on what they give you. My burrito was a beautiful beast! I also ordered a Sangría Señora & some guacamole and chips on the side. The burrito also came with chips. (I think the chips may be made at the restaurant & they were kept warm). My total w tip was $28.78 (keep in mind I had shrimp & grilled fish which were $4 extra & I ordered extra guacamole on the side & my burrito was HUGE). The offer different payment options. I really enjoyed my burrito (even after reheating it and finishing the rest later) and immediately went and told two other people about the restaurant! I will definitely be going back and look forward to trying more menu items. They literally put it on the wall ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE & TACOS! read more

I've been meaning to check out this place, here my feedback: 1. Price point for a burrito is high, I believe about $13-14, in all I spent $52 for 3 burritos and bowl (tip not included). 2. They are generous with their meat portions and there are a lot of ingredients to pick from at no extra charge. Two things stood out in my burrito, the rice was a bit dry and lacked flavor. The meat (asada) was okay, not great. 3. I asked for salsa on the side and they gave me a hot and extra hot sauce, they both tasted the same to me. The salsa's smell/taste smoky to me, this is different, but good. 4. The young men that folded my burrito was nice, but he needs a quick training session on folding burritos, mine looked more like a basketball, not a burrito. Overall, it was okay, we all have different Mexican food standards so I hope this is not viewed as a criticism of this establishment. read more

ONLY Taqueria I'm willing to eat at in Richmond Pinole area. Staff is always very friendly, l enjoy how fast they are and how good the food is. Flavors are always so bold and keeps me coming back to try new things. Birria tacos are bomb, crunchy tacos are the shxt, burritos are filled almost to the point the can't roll them lol, mango passion fruit juice is good, and all around service is speedy! Would def recommend anyone to try this place I visit every time I'm in the area. read more

**My review is based on customer service only** My delivery order was disappointing, I ordered about 5 plates and I asked all toppings to be the side but it wasn't. Also, my birria tacos didn't come with consome. Food was ok and wasn't really crazy about it since it was soggy. I called and a young woman answered and she helped me. She was very polite and sincere about everything and kept apologizing even though it wasn't her fault. She gave every possible option on how to make it right. My Husband and I order from here pretty frequently and so far their burritos and tacos are delicious along with the Mula. This is genius for a taco bar to choose your own settings in a burrito or taco! I had a shrimp burrito and it was pretty amazing. I have gone to many taco trucks & restaurants and the burritos and tacos I've taste were dry and not even good! But I fed recommend this place for your burrito crave! I had their quessabirilla (hope I spelled it right) it was good but I really wish it was crunchier! I'm sure it would've if they weren't so busy. The worst burritos ever! Ordered from Door Dash, I read about online orders being shorted and it's true. My daughter ordered a chicken burrito and doesn't like too much meat so usually has to dig out some meat. This burrito she had to dig around to find any meat at all! She added sour cream but the burrito had no sour cream or cheese! I ordered a veggie burrito, it was packed full but too much veggies, ratio of bean to rice to tortilla was so off the whole burrito fell apart and was horrible. This is my latest and greatest find in the Richmond (and neighboring) area. I feel like this place should be receiving more attention than what it has (especially in comparison to some of the other new Mexican restaurants in the area). I came across this place on Door Dash, I saw their menu and decided I actually wanted to experience this place in person. As soon as I walked in, I was in love. I'm a big fan of the decor and the little details (see Mexican candy). I was warmly greeted and my order quickly taken. Ordering was a bit confusing and there should have been clearer directions. The process is like chipotle in that you stay near and follow the counter as your food is being made so that it can be customized to your liking. I didn't know that (also don't think that it's the greatest operation but that's besides the point). I wanted to try so many things, but decided to go with the chilakos (think nachos with chilaquiles, no egg). Delicious and enough for leftovers the following day. My partner got a quesadilla, he was satisfied. Somethings that threw us were the use of sour cream instead of crema and being asked if we wanted beans on the quesadilla instead of the side. Usually, we agree on ratings. This place we agreed to disagree. My verdict is come expecting a chipster take on Mexican and you won't be disappointed. Ample parking though traffic in the area can be an issue around rush hour. Since they deliver, I plan to support even during the quarantine. read more

I walk in it is very cute. I got the prawn bowl. I like that there rice and all there beans are all vegan so that is a plus for me. The flavor is good everything taste fresh. There guacamole is fresh. You come in and you pick what you like in your plate. There customer service is great and they give you a good portion. I love there pickled carrots and jalapeño it taste so yummy fresh and crunchy and not from a can. Everyone should try it out. I rarely post any reviews on yelp but when I do it is something unacceptable. Since food delivery is highly on demand, we gave this restaurant a try given they have a good rating on Yelp. We ordered two items: the Chilakos (basically like Nachos) - no salsa, no sour cream, just soggy chips and dry carne asada, we can barely see the onions. For $13 not worth the money. The Burrito is alright but then again they forgot to put the sour cream, and the grated cheese was so little that you can count the shreds. Maybe they're running low on produce? I wish I could give this restaurant 10 stars! Fresh, delicious tortillas with a plethora of quality meats, toppings and salsas. I try something new every time I go and nothing disappoints. I've pretty much taken all my family members and friends here at this point, it hits the spot and there's something for everyone! The service is also fantastic, everyone is so friendly no matter how busy they are. Over the weekend I also tried Door Dashing for a birthday celebration for my whole family and everything arrived warm, and all of our orders were correct-and labeled! I like this place. I got a super burrito and the meat was tasty as well as other ingredients. They have a big variety of toppings. A few I remember are cilantro, cilantro and onions, corn, a few different tomato combinations probably some with onions and some spicy and just plain tomatoes. Guacamole was fresh. If you want to go to a restaurant that has no accountability this is the place for you. Placed my order online. I arrived the representative said someone else picked it up. I proved with evidence that I payed for it and did not pick it up. They couldn't provide me proof that the order was placed. They have no enforced system on how customers are allowed to pick up the order. Anyone can walk in there and pick it up without customer interaction because they don't care. They only care about the money. Refused to give me a solution, a refund, or make it again to correct the situation. The most she could say was that "I'm not going to argue with you". That's because she couldn't and she lied about my order because she refused to provide a record of sale even though I did on my end. Lazy incompetent individual. I I contacted Uber/American Express the same day and Que Honda even disrespected them by refusing to acknowledge responsibility and acted like no one was in the restaurant when four of the employees were present. I still managed to get my refund from Uber/AMEX. I will NEVER go to this unsophisticated, unprofessional, poor excuse for a restaurant again.
