Moist and juicy! Taco trucks, I'm used to more grilled meats, but here it's like braised and laying in juices. Tried the steak, lengua, & Al pastor. Got the regular sized tacos which came with tortillas larger than street tacos. Definitely will take care of your fix. Definitely get the pastor, so flavorful! Lengua was a bit much for me, maybe if they had chopped it down some more. Asada was whatever. Set up in the gas station, with a single table. What a bunch of lazy workers! I was just turned away from ordering dinner and was told they close at 4:45, although everything posted says they are closed at 5pm. Friendly staff and convenient location, especially if you're grabbing some gas. The reason for a 4 and not a 5 was the lack of flavor in my order. I ordered the carne asada fries extra meat, but sadly it was lacking flavor. On the upside their tortilla chips and salsa verde are . Just like that place named after a "Smoked Dried Pepper" in this bowl you get your Rice, Beans, Onions, Cilantro, Salsa ect. Let me tell you this place does "Carnitas" justice 100%. It's so flavorful and totally compliments every other condiment it's mixed with. It's the star of the show in this burrito bowl for me and as it should be it shined bright. For the price the bowl is a little small, but it's just enought to get you through a work shift and set you up for dinner as this establishment closes at 5 pm. Overall: Even though in a gas station, this place is 100% taqueria and I can't honestly rave enough about it. The food is good, the service is good, it's all good in the hood. Aside from the 5 pm closing time which I think is the only downside about this place, I try and go every chance I get now as I do not work in the area, but when I did, I was there at least 2 times a week to give you an estimate of how much I liked eating here. If you are in Richmond CA and you need gas have a hankering for a burrito, taco or quesadilla need slim jims, potato chips beer or lotto tickets at the same place, you are in luck. Seriously, they make a pretty good burrito. The carne asada would be what I would go with. I also had the grill chicken there before and they are not bad. I would not say I would go out of the way to stop by here to get some Mexican food, but if you are around, it's definitely a choice. I have been here several times for the premade chicken burrito. The cheesy bean and chicken goes well with the red and green salsa they offer. I never eat from gas stations but this is a small Taqueria in a gas station so it's different. It's surprising great and very similar to Portumex burritos at half the price. Nice hidden gem inside of the Chevron gas station. Very good food and professional staff, now who would've thought you'd be able to aquire both at this establishment. I stopped at the gas station to fuel up my car. I found out that El Burrito Loco existed after going in to pay and decided to to fuel up myself as well with some tacos. I can't say how surprised I was at the tastiness that ensued. I ended up getting another round of tacos immediately after destroying my first set. The best part is that I didn't even come close to breaking the bank on this terrific meal with 3 small tacos for $3.99. This place is like a taco truck without the truck! Customer service has been polite and friendly, with my tacos always coming out no more the 5 minutes after I order. A small complaint I do have is that the salsa varies in spiciness from visit to visit with the "hot" never being really that hot. The only other thing that I might say is the tortilla chips have been of questionable quality sometimes too.
