Que Papi Cantina is a new Mexican restaurant located at Desert Breeze Plaza on Flamingo and Durango. You'll find them next to What's Crepe. There's ample parking. Inside is dimly lit with an atmosphere that's chill and laid back. The place is like a fancy dive bar with fantastic music and TVs to watch sports channel. They have an awesome playlist, I was listening to several R&B hits including Nelly ft. Kelly Rowland "Dilemma" and Mariah Carey "Obsessed," both fantastic songs! Happy Hour is everyday from 4pm to 6pm which includes $3 tacos with choice of al pastor, steak, and chicken, $1 wings (minimum order of 6 wings), and $20 hookahs. Menu offers a nice selection of tacos, mulitas, gringas, huaraches, tortas, asada fries, nachos, quesadillas, burritos, rancheros, chips & salsa. Choice of meat include steak, chicken, birria, al pastor, carnitas, chorizo, buche, and shrimp. For refreshments, they have non alcoholic, beers, shot specials, margaritas, and pitchers. I ordered light and opted for Al Pastor Taco ($4) and Shrimp Taco ($5), both savory, flavorful, wonderfully satisfying, and delicious! Compliments to the chef, this place makes the best tacos! Al Pastor is nicely seasoned, tender meat, topped with fresh onions and cilantro. Shrimp taco is excellent! It's beautifully grilled, succulent shrimp with melted crisp cheese. Both tacos have two tortillas, served with a side of creamy chipotle and salsa verde, it's really good! Service from bartender Liz, Melissa, and chef Jugo is very kind, welcoming, accommodating, and friendly! Liz is so nice and super helpful with recommendations, and Melissa is very efficient, she checked in regularly, attentive, and personable. Thank you for a lovely experience! read more

I went to Que Papi for Taco Tuesday with a friend, and while the restaurant is clearly still new (they didn't even have a permanent sign yet) ,  the place has so much potential.  Situated in an unassuming strip mall in the nether regions of Spring Valley, a jiffy smog and a yoga studio are your best clues for finding this place.. i had the chicken tacos, and my friend had the beef ones.. I can certify that the chicken tacos were delicious,  and the salsa verde was some of the best I've ever had.  It was thick and flavorful.. They also had a salsa roja, but i didn't try that one.  The $3 tacos and $3 shots made it a really good value, too. The chef even brought out a new taco recipe for me to try after I mentioned how much I liked the chicken taco, which was such a kind and thoughtful touch. The atmosphere has a lot of potential.  It feels like the kind of place that could become a vibe once more people discover that it exists. The bathrooms were nice and clean, which I always appreciate and take as a good sign of what's going on in the back of house. It was pretty quiet when we went, so I would love to see more people support this spot. The food is worth it, the prices are fair, and the staff was kind. I hope they get the crowd they need, because there is definitely potential here. read more

If I could give it zero stars I will!!! Waiting 50 mins for food is ridiculous, and when the food came out, it was cold and when I told them, they said that they'll put it in the microwave for a couple seconds to make it warm again.... After that, the waitress told us that she was gonna not charge us for one of the burritos. We got 3 burritos and 1 gringa and the bill came out to $68!! How??? Makes no sense.... And the portions were small...I will never come here again read more

Discovered randomly while in the area and the tacos were bomb and so were the salsas. The mulitas hit the spot, just the right amount of cheese to meat. Both the workers were so attentive and kind. Would come again without question. read more

Came here to try out the tacos. 9 different taco choices. I had chicken, steak, pork and carnitas. Chicken was very tasty, steak was juicy, carnitas was yummy and pork had a nice spice. New taco spot opened up, had to check it out. Has a nice ambiance like club/lounge vibe, cool place to hang out and unwind after work. The service is great. I had the Chamoyada margarita, tastes good, you can taste the mango in and I couldn't stop licking the rim on the glass lol. I was so hungry that I dug in and ate it before taking a photo. The staff was so incredibly friendly and happy. There were lots of TV's if you wanted to watch sports while eating. It was definitely a bit of a sports bar feel but they allowed my 17 year old niece and her friend to eat lunch in there with us. We just discovered this spot on Instagram and decided to try it out. We ordered the Al Pastor, Chicken, and Steak tacos. All three were delicious. The steak was juicy and perfectly cooked. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and can't wait to try the other menu items. They offer wings for $1 each so that's the next thing to try. read more

I found this place after the waitress Liz posted on the Nextdoor App and with it being right in my neighborhood I came here with my bestie. We enjoyed the $1 shots for the grand opening and 1$ tacos, I ate the steak and el pastor, both absolutely delicious. There is a green and orange salsa served with your tacos my favorite was the orange because it was it was more spicy. Liz was a delight and a great server. We definitely will be back. read more

This place is not the place to go if you just want to have a decent meal. It more for drinking and smoking hookah. The food took way too long for what we had order but it was ok. But the waitress was the worse. She was more concerned about taking shots and smoking hookah. I had to go the bar to get silverware and to get the bill that she over charged us $20.
