Stumbled across this place looking for some Mexican food that was more authentic, less chain. This place did not disappoint! We started with the house made five salsa sampler with their really crispy chips. You must like crispy if you're gonna like their chips. From there we moved onto one of their specialty dishes, the pollo enchipotlado which was probably the best dish that we had out of our entire order. Highly recommend! We also tried their quesadilla with the add-on of chicken, which was also really unique. We tried their tacos carnitas, which was not my favorite, but the guys loved it. It's a little lacking in interior touches, but I guess if you're going to cook this good, consistently, you don't need to focus on that. But they should. For that, I'm leaving a four star review. We came here on a Sunday during the World Cup, and it also happened to be my husband's birthday. We didn't mention it to anyone, but the staff overheard us talking and surprised him with a complimentary dessert. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our day even more special! Came here at 6:30pm on a weekday and the restaurant was busy but we were seated immediately. We ordered an appetizer of the salsa sampler, chicken fajitas for two, and a lychee martini. While the service and presentation were good, the food was lacking. The chicken fajitas were dry and didn't have the "fajita" flavor that we all know. The rice that came as a side was clumpy as if they scrapped the bottom of the pot for it. My friend ordered the lychee martini and she said it was overly sweet and could barely taste the alcohol, which isn't typical for a martini. We each got our own rice, beans, sour cream, and guac for our fajitas and we loved it! It was so much food we were able to feed our toddler and take some home. This place works really hard and it shows, the food was really great and so was the margarita. They have some TVs if you're into watching a game while dining in. Bar seating is available although the place is small and fits no more than 50 or so inside. It was steady on a Saturday but no wait. My kids found it last week and when they said it was better than Juan's Flaming Fajitas (my old favorite), I didn't believe them. But it was well worth the 40 minute drive from Henderson. The servers were so friendly and attentive. The interior modern and clean. But the food was the star. So fresh and authentic tasting. Absolutely delicious! The Tacos de camaron were topped with fresh cabbage, chipotle and jalapeno dressings and mango pico de gallo. So bright and tasty. My family and close friends were planning on going to the Enchant event for the holidays and wanted a spot that could meet everyone's food preferences within 10 minutes of the ball park. We had zeroed in on Mexican food being a safe bet for anyone, and after looking at the vibe and the menu it seemed to be the best fit for us that night. What got me the most excited was they not only make their salsas in house, but they have such a large variety and variations you do not see at many other spots. You can even for 12 dollars get a sampler and we got 6 salsas to try. My mom also ordered an extra sampler to take home. I found the space nice and quiet, which was perfect for us as my baby fell asleep on the drive there. I got the tacos ta'vhingon that they grill the cheese face down so it gets crispy and had amazing sliced flank steak, guacamole, and pico de gallo. On the side they had a wonderful bean and meat soup that was so rich and flavorful. I felt the portions and flavor really were solid. My fiancé got the chicken, beef, and shrimp fajitas and I ate his left overs and was very satisfied especially with the chicken and beef. The horchata was decent, not crazy sweet which is what I liked the most, but not necessarily my favorite. I really like more texture and spices in mine. I wish this place was closer as I would honestly grab salsas weekly from them to add to my food. They had one that was creamy and sweet but had a heat at the end that was really good, as well as a few others that were just next level. The oil based ones I was not as into but they still had a place on the right dish for sure. Almost had asian food vibes. This restaurant opened about 4 months ago, and I'm glad I found it. It's not a large place. I was seated on the side toward the back which was good because they had a two top there and it was a sort of private dining area. I had looked at some of the photos on Yelp and I almost knew what I was getting before I looked at the menu. I started with the sopa Azteca--rich tomato soup and chili, topped with crispy tortilla strips, avocado, Mexican cream, and fresh cilantro. Next came the enchiladas tricolor. The menu describes it like this--3 enchiladas, three sauces. 1 enchilada smothered in tomatillo, another in red tomato, and the last one topped with our signature white cheese sauce. Filled with shredded chicken. Served with rice, beans, and a whole lot of Mexican love. For dessert I got the cheesecake con salsa de Jamaica. The soup was good but it's very heavy for a starter. I would skip this another time for something lighter. The tomato flavor was intense, and the tomato was very, very hot! It was nice to get apiece of avocado to cool the mouth a bit. Then came the enchiladas tricolor. A very good main course. Flavorful enchiladas with their different sauces and filled with shredded chicken. A small scoop of rice and some greens. It made for a delightful main course. However, as I said above, with the sopa, this was a lot to eat. But you can't forget dessert. The cheesecake was excellent. It had a texture that was unlike any I've had before. This was creamier than most I've had. The sauce is hibiscus which is infused in the cake and makes up the sauce with the cheesecake. Very good. The staff was busy but they found time to cover all the tables and always with a smile and good answers to questions! I am so glad I found this restaurant. It certainly merits another visit (or two). The waiter stopped by and took drink orders, their margaritas are very good. We started with the complimentary Chips & Salsa and then Queso Fundido. I decided to go with their costal version of a Shrimp Cocktail. It arrived at the table with a tangy and sweet red sauce, big beautiful shrimp and slices of cucumber. Just moved around the corner, so we popped in for a quick happy hour. From the HH menu we went with: 2 beef tacos ($8 for two) - decent flavor, but presentation and portion felt pretty basic for the price. Steak fries ($10) - generous portion of well-seasoned, flavorful steak on top, but the fries themselves could use an upgrade. A better fry, crispier outside and fluffy inside, would take this from fine to something worth coming back for. Icy cold Modelo ($3 off) - I didn't even ask about the full beer selection, next time. House margarita ($8) - she said it was balanced and not overly sweet, easy to drink. Nothing we had was bad, but the happy hour menu feels like it is there because it has to be, not because it is the star of the show. The real win of the night was not on happy hour, the tostada atun.
