I've been to QAR several times, for dinner, lunch and drinks. The food never disappoints and the servers are all friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. Two notable things: no fried foods, including fries, and all their beers on tap are from a local Morehead City brewery called Tight Lines Brewery. They have 8 taps. So there are IPA's, lagers and even a sour if that's your jam. Back to food, the one criticism I have is their potato salad. That doesn't live up to the rest of the place. We experienced good service and good food that started with the hot crab dip. The chipotle spice and cheesy crab combo on pita started our lunch with a hearty "this is tasty" from all. I chose the Cajun-seared Mahi-Mahi tuna tacos and enjoyed the seasoned yet light flavor with a surprising tame chipotle aoli nestled in flour tortillas. Great spot and if the weather is nice you can enjoy food and drinks right on the water. We did lunch on Sunday and got lucky enough to have a perfect day. We had the Dog Island Margarita, which was very good, and the Russell's Bourbon Peach Smash, which was just okay - however the waitress was honest to indicate that they were low on peach so that's probably why the drink wasn't as ideal as it could have been. This was the day after the Claws Crawl so it's understandable that they might be out of a few cocktail ingredients. We shared the Carolina Cuban which is a must get! Friend and I just had lunch here and it was fantastic. We got there just before the lunch rush, apparently, because 6 other parties came soon after we ordered. The service was very quick and friendly, with a number of personal recommendations provided by the server, at our request. She was spot on with the pizza (friend said it was delicious) and the crab cake sandwich was phenomenal. It had such a delicate crab taste and a great lemon citrus undertone--and the bun was perfectly toasted warm. This honestly was one of the best crab cake sandwiches I have ever had. And the potato casserole side was amazing--I wasn't sure how it would be served and I was most pleasantly surprised with its flavor, creaminess and yet also its crispiness. Our table had a beautiful view of the water which was nice. There is indoor and outdoor seating and there was no wait for either. The pizza was great, the crust had flavor was crispy and a little chewy but not so chewy that you were chewing forever. The cheese... fell off, but once i grabbed it the right way to keep it on, it tasted well with the crust. The sides of pasta salad, hash brown casserole and potato salad were all good. The Cuban... was not a Cuban, but a ham sandwich on a bun. So overall, pizza was good, the burgers good, the sides good. It's a sub par drink and a no to the Cuban. We visited Queen Anne's for lunch on hot and humid Monday. Our group ordered two pizza's, shrimp tacos and the Carolina Cuban... oh and a Big Ass Pretzel. The Big Ass Pretzel lived up to it name. Warm and toasty coated with butter and salt. Delicious by itself! However, it is served with crab dip, cheese dip and whole grain mustard. Cheese dip was flavorful, crab dip was a burnt and the mustard didn't suit my taste. The pizzas suffered from the same common mistake most restaurants make. Too much sauce and too much cheese. Also, salami doesn't belong on a pizza. Shrimp tacos were tasty. However, the salsa added to the tacos was very watery. You should request this in the side. The Carolina Cuban sandwich was basically a pulled pork sandwich drenched in bbq sauce with three slices of ham, melted cheese and some pickles. I think deep down I was craving a more traditional Cuban and this didn't come close :(. Staff was friendly. We may return at some point but there are too many other restaurants in the area we want to try. read more

The wife had the goat cheese salad, and she really enjoyed it. Overall, the server was amazing, and we'd probably come back again.
