Was in town and was brought by a local since we were trying various places I hadn't been in town yet on my other visits. The staff was pleasant upon entry as well as throughout the visit. The food was plentiful and good. Maybe it was the time of day, but the ambience is fairly lackluster and it reminded me of a peppier room at a VFW. I don't live locally, so possibly at night time it's got a different vibe with more people, so I looked towards the other reviews for a more well-rounded opinion:

Chill waterfront dining in Beaufort. The view from the tables on the outdoor deck was great. We had a really sweet server who took care of our special requests. All of the food was really good. My Mahi Mahi tacos were flavorful, with a good sized portion of fish. My son had the seared ahi salad which was beautifully presented. They have a full bar, with local beer selections.

Couldn't believe how good the food was! Was honestly blown away by the meal! We ended up here because it was one of the few places we could bring our dog, and it honestly wasn't our first choice. I feel embarassed for admitting that because the meal was 10/10! Everything (even the rice) was delicious! The service was great, the view was pretty, but the vibe was a little underwhelming. A little music on the patio would go a long way; would've been able to honestly give it 5 stars if there was that. Regardless, stop here if you want the best meal in Beaufort!

Located On the Waterfront of Taylor Creek, Queen Anne's Revenge is named after Beaufort's most famous eye-patch resident of old, Blackbeard the pirate. Our party of four sat outside on the covered porch section, shaded from the hot summer sun and refreshed by the breeze across the water. We experienced good service and good food that started with the hot crab dip. The chipotle spice and cheesy crab combo on pita started our lunch with a hearty "this is tasty" from all. I chose the Cajun-seared Mahi-Mahi tuna tacos and enjoyed the seasoned yet light flavor with a surprising tame chipotle aoli nestled in flour tortillas. I also tasted a slice of the made-to-order Margherita pizza my wife order. Again, fresh and tasty. It's obvious that QAR uses fresh ingredients. Service was on point with the accuracy of the order and checking in with us and the overall pleasantness of our server. Overall, we enjoyed the food, location, and service.

Stopped here for lunch on our way to the beach. We were seated at outside which offered us a beautiful view of the water/marina. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. She was especially kind to our 4 yr old nephew who requested pepperoni on his kid pizza. We ordered the "big ass pretzel " which comes with 3 queso, mustard & and warm crab dip-so so good! Our group ordered a variety of food to include the crab sandwich, the mahi fish tacos & and pizza. Everything was delicious! The crab cake and fish tacos were fresh & perfectly prepared! Highly recommend this place!

Great spot and if the weather is nice you can enjoy food and drinks right on the water. We did lunch on Sunday and got lucky enough to have a perfect day. We had the Dog Island Margarita, which was very good, and the Russell's Bourbon Peach Smash, which was just okay - however the waitress was honest to indicate that they were low on peach so that's probably why the drink wasn't as ideal as it could have been. This was the day after the Claws Crawl so it's understandable that they might be out of a few cocktail ingredients. We shared the Carolina Cuban which is a must get! Opted for the Greek pasta salad which was a bit overdressed. Lovely waitress checked on us as needed, was honest about the drink situation. You know it's a fun place when you walk in the door and the manager greets you with a joke about needing a reservation because it was a slow Sunday. He also checked on us at the end of our meal to make sure that we had been satisfied.

First place we came to on our day trip to see Blackbeard sat down and ordered brunch to start the day! Upon entering you knew you were in a hometown with locals saying hello have a seat! Doesn't get better than that let me tell you! Good old fashioned hospitality! I ordered biscuits and gravy and my husband got the loaded grits bowl! Delicious! It's a must stop if you are coming to your It's truly fitting of the history of #Pirates!

Service, food, and overall experience was not a good time at all for the time spent and price paid. The fish tacos had so much liquid the tortillas were mush at delivery, the hashbrown casserole was so burnt/hard it should not have been served. The pizza oven was down, which is completely understandable, but the hostess should have told people at entry as a few parties got up and left after being seated.

Had dinner at Queen Anne's Revenge. The weather was great so we were able to sit outside and have dinner overlooking the water. I had the mixed grill and it was fabulous! The sauce was to die for! The service was excellent.

We came for the pizza, but there was so much more! This place is amazing! Waterfront dining, exquisite food and very reasonably priced! If you are in Beaufort you don't want to miss this! We will definitely be back!

Stopped in for a drink our first night in town and ended up catching sunset on the back patio. Good pours and friendly service. Didn't try any food but the restaurant inside was packed. Would come here again.

Crab cake sandwich and potatoes casserole
    Jess M.

Friend and I just had lunch here and it was fantastic. We got there just before the lunch rush, apparently, because 6 other parties came soon after we ordered. The service was very quick and friendly, with a number of personal recommendations provided by the server, at our request. She was spot on with the pizza (friend said it was delicious) and the crab cake sandwich was phenomenal. It had such a delicate crab taste and a great lemon citrus undertone--and the bun was perfectly toasted warm. This honestly was one of the best crab cake sandwiches I have ever had. And the potato casserole side was amazing--I wasn't sure how it would be served and I was most pleasantly surprised with its flavor, creaminess and yet also its crispiness. As recent new residents of Beaufort, this will definitely become one of our favorites!

Since it's mid-August, we happily chose to wait for a table inside rather than brave the heat. While we waited, we hung out in the bar area. It's small but really cute and inviting, with a ton of fun drink options. I'm pregnant, so I went with one of their mocktails, and it was delicious! The food was absolutely worth the wait. The portions are HUGE, everything was cooked perfectly, and the pricing felt very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. Seating inside is definitely a little tight, but that's really the only downside we found. Overall, we had a great experience and honestly didn't mind the wait at all. If there's a line when you get there, I'd say stick it out, the brunch is worth it!

When we arrived we were immediately greeted by the valet. They were so pleasant and welcoming. We entered the restaurant and took a seat at the end of the bar. The bartenders were dressed to impress. They didn't have uniforms, but instead nice pants, a pressed collared shirt and a fitted vest. The way that they presented themselves before even speaking said to me that we are going to take care of you and you are going to enjoy a wonderful evening. We love to start with bar bites or small plates to sample the menu. This allowed us to try the crabcake, calamari and the scallops & bacon. Everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We shared a bottle of red wine and split the asparagus and steak cooked medium-rare. The steak was cooked to perfection! There is a standard fee of $3.00 to split a meal. I love, love that the bartender waived the fee and allowed us to share a meal. Because we start each meal with small plates a dinner each just isn't possible. This evening out was worth each dollar spent. We will definitely come back each time that we visit the coast.

Floyd's Restaurant Review - (4/5) Floyd's delivers exactly…read morewhat great Southern comfort food should: generous portions, rich flavors, and dishes that are clearly made with care. Unfortunately, several sanitation observations during my visit kept an otherwise excellent meal from earning a higher rating. The dining room was noticeably warm throughout the evening, making it somewhat uncomfortable during the meal. On the positive side, every member of the staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. We also had the opportunity to meet the pastry chef, who was personable and clearly passionate about his work. The meal began with the house rolls, which were outstanding. They were warm, incredibly soft, buttery, and practically melted in your mouth. The Shrimp Napoleon was an excellent appetizer and easily one of the highlights of the evening. The shrimp were well prepared, the flavors were balanced, and the dish had wonderful depth. I'd rate it an 8/10. The deviled eggs had good flavor overall, although the filling leaned heavily toward mustard. The egg whites were somewhat firm and gave the impression they had been prepared well in advance and refrigerated. While enjoyable, they weren't nearly as memorable as the other dishes. The meatloaf was exceptional--without question one of the best I've ever had. It was tender, flavorful, and complemented perfectly by a rich, savory gravy. The green beans tasted remarkably fresh and were cooked beautifully. I added a side of cheese grits, which were creamy, cheesy, and absolutely outstanding. Portion sizes throughout the meal were generous and represented excellent value. Dessert finished the evening on a high note. The Key lime pie was outstanding, with a perfectly balanced tartness, smooth filling, and excellent crust. It was one of the best restaurant desserts I've had in quite some time. Where the experience suffered was in several sanitation and food-handling observations. During service, I observed an employee visibly sweating, wiping away perspiration, and then continuing food service. A fly was also discovered in an iced tea, and from my seat I was able to observe that the tea had been poured from a communal pitcher that was being used to refill multiple guests' glasses. One observation was particularly concerning. While seated near the service area, I watched an employee package a guest's leftover meal. During the process, the container slipped, partially opened, and the food fell onto the kitchen floor. Rather than discarding it or replacing the portion, the food was simply picked up, placed back into the container, and boxed as though nothing had happened. As someone who pays close attention to restaurant operations, moments like these raise legitimate concerns about food handling standards and overall sanitation practices. Floyd's has all the ingredients of a destination restaurant. The food is genuinely excellent, the staff is welcoming, and several dishes are worth returning for. However, consistent execution extends beyond the plate. Food safety and sanitation are just as important as flavor, and the observations from this visit make it difficult to award a higher score.
