I came here before COVID and their new location is so cute inside. I ordered the eggplant with egg falafel and it was the best falafel I felt I ever had. The different textures of fresh ingredients, temperature (egg was slightly cool) and sauce mixed well together and gave it great taste. I went back recently and now they have an outdoor space which feels cozy. I was craving the same falafel and ordered it. It wasn't as delicious as I remembered it but still good. Tiny place with a fancy computer that requires you to pay tips. When you click the NO TIP button, you are measured head to toe with a heavy look: "Cheap bastard!" What is the tip for? I'm picking my order up! Myself!!! I only tried the falafel sandwich, so I cannot comment on the rest of the menu. Bottom line: falafel is very bready. The flour / peas ratio is waaaay off. When you bite into it, it's hard to tell whether it's bread or falafel you've chewing. The whole sandwich is dry, needs more veggies/ sauce. All in all - 1 star. Three guys gyro on Myrtle is better. I ordered some food through Seamless. While not the worst I've ever had, they definitely have a lot they could improve on. Everything. I mean EVERYTHING was vastly underseasoned. There is no better way to ruin a meal than for it to have no flavor. Luckily I was at home and was able to add salt to everything. The fried foods weren't packaged correctly for shipping. When packing fried foods for delivery you need to cut holes in the tops of the containers so the steam can be released. Otherwise the food steams itself and arrives soggy. Soggy french fries and falafels are not okay. I was only given one side of sauce with my fries and absolutely no tahini for my falafels. What was I supposed to be dipping my falafels in? On the bright side the portion of the hummus was quite large for the price and after salt the chicken shawarma with harissa was tasty. read more

I have written this review before and it was taken down. A few friends decided to get some falafel and brought me to this place. What I saw was discussing and immoral. They were having some kind of show where the audience thought it was appropriate to have scantily clad grown men waving their crotches in little girls faces. The child had to be no older than 4 years old has her mother giggled in enjoyment as barely dressed grown men waived their crotches in her face and discussed all sorts of acts that shouldn't be discussed in front of any human in public, let alone children. All this went on while these performers continued a passive aggressive barrage of insults against white people. The food was garbage, too. I would have disposed of it in the garbage can at the corner, but it was already full of their food. read more

The roasted eggplant was great, the hummus tasty, but the falafel was on the dry side and the salad was a little on the wet side (the quality might not have been the best because delivery). You never know what to expect when ordering delivery from a restaurant you've never been to. I was pleasantly surprised. The iced mint tea with honey was perfect. I ordered the little gems salad and added a hard boiled egg. The mint vinaigrette is delicious. There's lots of mint and dill added to the salad-- it was such a nice salad for the price. I ordered a side of falafel w/ tzaziki and added that to my salad which was perfection. Even the flourless chocolate cake was delicious. I thought it looked a bit dry-- but I was wrong! I came to Queen for a Sunday brunch and unfortunately, I miss the Queens performance. I'll have to catch it another day. We sat outside and used the contactless menu. So you order and pay for your food online and the server will bring it to you. We ordered the watermelon margarita for drinks. When I say this margarita hit the spot. It was sweet enough, tart, with the right amount of tequila. It was frozen which was perfect for this hot day. We ordered the lentil soup, little gem salad, a falafel sandwich, babaganoush and the middle eastern platter with a side of pitas. It sounds like a lot and it was a lot. This meal was great from start to finish. The pitas were light and fluffy and stacked like the perfect set of pancakes. These were hands down the best pitas I've had in a long time. The babaganoush was really good, seasoned perfectly, not to oily and went well with the pitas. The lentil soup wasn't to chunky and hit the spot, even on a hot summer day. If you like cashews get the little gem salad. The combinations of ingredients were on point. I stole a beet from my friends plate and I must say the beet was a great addition. (Hopefully, he's not reading this but if he is, Thanks!) But how can you go wrong with beets and feta. My falafel sandwich was the bomb.com. The falafels were fried perfectly. They weren't over fried and the seasoning was perfect. I had falafels over flowing from my stuffed pita. You definitely cant say they are being stingy with the falafels. I mean what else can a girl ask for. Well, I also asked for the pepper sauce, the hottest in stock. BEWARE. If your not used to hot spices I advise you to stay away or you may not be able to taste the rest of your dish or for the rest of the day.. The middle eastern plate had rice, falafels, beets, carrots and a cucumber-tomato-onion salad. It was so good. Basically, a deconstructed falafel sandwich with extra garnish. You will not regret eating at Queen, especially if you like Mediterranean food. The staff was amazing and u had the greatest conversation with my server whose from Venezuela. I wanted to give this place 5 stars, don't get me wrong, the Falafel is Tasty, good Sandwich. I have ordered Many times, seems they are on a roll of serving Cold Falafel, out of 10 times I have gone their 9 times my Falafel has been cold, and don't dare to ask them to make it fresh, they will tell you it's fresh and or have to wait till the Falafel that is sitting their too finish first, now that's some Bullchitz. I love me a good Falafel, but Cold or barely warm Falafel is not enjoyable. I came here to get a quick dinner right before seeing a show at the House of Yes. Queen of Falafel is right next door. I ordered the chicken shawarma with hummus in whole wheat pita, and it was good. Four stars for the shawarma. The place is tiny, there are only 3 chairs inside, and the line goes out the door. There's a few benches to eat on outside, and if you're lucky, they won't be taken. When I heard that Rivka Orlin, (owner of the famed East Village Restaurant serving arguably some of the best Mediterranean food since the early eighties) was opening a Middle Eastern, Mediterranean fusion restaurant in my neighborhood, there was no question I was going. Located in the corner of House of Yes... an arial dance and alternative venue well worth checking out... there isn't much space. This isn't a place durning the winter a large group can come to. there is only a small bar along the hallway with mirrors lining the wall to sit in front of and eat. It's a place that is great for yourself or you and a friend to pop in. When the weather is better you can hangout on the bench out front or by one of the nearby parks. Many great lil pub/bars in the area allow you to bring in take out as well. The menu is a great mix of sandwiches, plates (including a main and two sides) and soups and desserts. I went with the famous and I believe the BEST falafel I have ever had! I also tried their special of Red Lentil Soup which came with homemade croutons. It was incredible, and to round it out I had the fresh Moroccan Mint Iced Tea... It was a perfect lunch! I will be back many many times! read more

This place must be new because there's no way it can be this good with so little reviews. Tiny, unassuming and easy to miss, but you'll be so sorry if you do! Perfect for a quick bite. Falafel sandwich is amazing. This isn't your cheap and dirty (yet still delicious) Mamoun's falafel -- they use really high quality ingredients and it tastes so fresh and flavorful and packs so much spice into each bite. All the different elements in the sandwich come together really nicely, and the pita is so warm and fluffy -- even though it's the whole wheat one. The only suggestion I might have is to cut their raw veggies a little bigger for more texture because their falafel texture is of a courser grade. Otherwise, A+! It's quite reasonable at $7 for how big it is too -- 2 meals for someone with a small appetite like me! Love the self-serve sauce bar where you can get harissa, herb green sauce, tahini and pickles. Mediterrannean salsa bar, here I come! The place is very small, but they have this long narrow hallway with candles and counter seating that give it the authentic, unique Brooklyn vibe. The labneh was very luscious and topped with a generous drizzle of zatar oil and diced cucumber. Beets were sweet and tangy - made with preserved lemon, I think? This place is absolutely delicious and authentic. I had the chicken shawarma plate and hummus and baklava for dessert. The hummus with chana and schug was my starter and it was made perfectly and smoothly with the perfect spices. I wish I had more because I finished way too fast. The chicken shawarma was perfectly prepared and was so juicy and was served on top of rice with with charred vegetables and mint yogurt sauce (not that mystery white sauce lol). Baklava was very good as well and not too sweet. Use to love the old Queen of Falafel take -out place. It was the highlight of my day to pick a delectable lunch there! It has now gone through a transformation into a proper sit-down restaurant going by the abbreviated name of Queen. The food is still delicious, the staff friendly and there is still take-out but the prices have gone-up considerably (I can understand that) and the portions are much smaller (not cool). Some of the platters have disappeared from the menu and the wonderful fried bread sticks are no more. Since it just re-opened I will give them a few months to get their bearings. We came in from the House of Yes after a show. Unfortunately, we arrived after the closing time of 11 - but they allowed us to order from what was left over. All three of us had falafel hummus plates which were incredibly reasonable priced and yummy! The falafel is green (my personal favorite) and well done, not dry at all. There is more hummus than I knew what to do with (getting another pita sounds like the plan for that!!). We all got whole wheat pitas, which are often not as good as white, but are fantastic here! The guy in the Grand Cherokee said to only eat one, but I'm a sour gummy fan from way back yon. I had a handful then finished off the shrooms and typed in ,"best falafel in bushwick". Ah s$%#, it was at the end of the street art walk I had set up on my GPS. I was halfway there when I began to question my GPS. I was about 2/3 there when I began to question the meaning of words.
