I recently stopped in for a to go order for Lunch. The restaurant /pizza area was very clean.The employee who took my order was attentive and followed my special instructions via the receipt and the kitchen accomplished my request. The food I ordered was a Chicken Parm Sandwich and a order of mussels. The mussels were fresh and hit the spot, the tomato marinara was so tasty.Nice thin slices of fresh garlic I would give the mussels a 7.9 I also ordered a chicken parm sandwich.The bread was nice and fresh there was a good amount of chicken and the chicken wasn't overcooked. I hate overcooked chicken. The issue I had was the sandwich itself was to dry for my liking ,not enough marinara sauce. In fact there was very little. I will give the sandwich a 7.1, Room for improvement. I was lucky I had the mussels sauce to dip in with. Pricing was average cost about 28 dollars. That's what places charge these days. What a meal. The kid had a graduation dinner to go to, so we ventured out to get dinner for ourselves. Perfection from A-Z. Small parking lot next to the restaurant. No street parking. Upon entering, everything was very clean and we were greeted immediately. We started off with the burrata and the eggplant tower. The burrata was fresh and creamy. The eggplant tower topped it. Layers of eggplant and prosciutto. I saw a woman at the table next to us eating something that caught my eye... So of course I went with it. Penne Arrbiata (sure I'm not spelling that correctly). Penne in Vodka sauce, with chicken, fresh mootz and hot cherry peppers. It wasn't overpowering but had a nice kick. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD. The wife went with the Chicken parm. For dessert, I had to Italian Ice Cream Float. What a way to end the experience. Vanilla ice cream in a cup with Blood Orange Italian Soda poured over it. OMG, it was so good. If you're in the area, this is a place that needs to be checked out. Service was at a level that most places need to get back to. Very helpful and friendly. read more

Cucina gets a 5 out of 5 from me. To start, the restaurant is BYOB and there is a parking lot on the right side, which makes it very convenient. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the aesthetics are beautiful. The whole place gives you a cozy feeling that makes you want to sit, relax, and enjoy your meal. To start, we ordered the grilled octopus, bruschetta, rice balls, and calamari. Everything was delicious and full of great flavor. The vodka sauce in the rice balls was amazing. We came with a big group so we ordered a bunch of different dishes, and not one person had a complaint about their meal. Everything came out perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The service and food at Cucina 355 are both spectacular. I had been to some of their other restaurants and the pasta at all of them is amazing. Can't get enough of the pappardelle bolognese. They have a sit down restaurant as well as tables next to a pizza slice counter. There were a number of group dining so this is a good spot for a family meal. read more

Whoever took over this restaurant in the past few years has done a fantastic job. The staff is friendly, parking lot right next to it and the interior is gorgeous. I've been here twice for dinner and both were fabulous. Their Caesar salad is one of the best I've ever had. Their vodka sauce is good enough to drink from a mug. The dessert specials are so creative and tempting. The chicken vodka parm was delicious, the grandma pie is really great too. Try this place for dinner, date night or with friends. I went to Cucina 355 this weekend and I left this Italian restaurant so happy and with my jeans about to explode of how full I was. The food was incredible, I went with my family for a birthday lunch and we ordered as appetizers the Mini Rice Balls, Fried Calamari, and Greek Salad. Honestly, we came hungry so we were already full from the appetizers. The mini rice balls are superb. I have been to this restaurant multiple times with my family as they love this Italian restaurant. I shared these two entrees with my two sisters Penne Arrabbiata (Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella & sliced hot peppers with vodka sauce), Marsala (Shallots & mushrooms in a Marsala wine sauce). Both pasta dishes were delicious and so filling. We definitely had leftovers and it was two dishes shared between three adult women. My mother had the Tortellini Carbonara (Bacon & onions in a cream sauce). We love coming to this establishment. We don't real rushed whatsoever when dining here and the service is attentive. The service is amazing in a family setting and in a calm family oriented neighborhood. If you want, homemade Italian food with the grandma like feel, I highly recommend try this place out in the heart of nutley! They are known for their arincini balls in vodka sauce, so I had to try them, and they were super delicious! I also tried their homemade meatballs with a side of ricotta and crostini. I also enjoyed the Caesar salad, which had a lot of dressing, which I love. For dinner I had the chicken vodka Parm, and it was so incredible! I always passed by this restaurant and never thought to give it a try. I decided to pop in for some appetizers and it was the best choice that day! I went earlier than dinner time so there wasn't a crowd at all. We were instantly greeted, seated, and assisted with opening our bottle of bottle we brought with us. We ordered fried calamari which was phenomenal; Very fresh, crisp, and hot. We also ordered bruschetta which was also extremely fresh on top of crisp and fluffy crustinis which seemed to be like garlic bread. I believe it's slightly overpriced (like Caesar Salad $15??!!...Even Nicolas in Totowa is only $10...Calamari $20!!??) Excellent website and many apparently GREAT choices. We went simple. We asked for Hotsy Shrimp BUT NO SALT and it was DELICIOUS, sauce and perfectly cooked shrimp. But we didn't remember to try ordering "no salt" dishes. The Veal Parm was very tasty but salty and my friend's Lasagna was delicious but even saltier (i was drinking water all night and at home). The salad that came with the meal could have used more pizzazz with the dressing and the tomatoes were typical out-of-season hard. So for Shrimp and 2 Entrees, tax and tip $100 (with no decor)!! We had placed an order via the website and it was taking a while longer than usual to get it delivered so I called just to see what was taking so long and if there was any issue with the order itself or maybe payment etc. but they apologized for the wait and said it would be delivered shortly AND asked me if I wanted a complementary dessert or something for the inconvenience. I knew this place was going to be a hit when we walked in and every table was taken except one (it was a sign). Place was pretty loud around 8, so you will have to talk loud to have a conversation with your party. However, the noise does die down once people start leaving. Food wise it's a definite 10/10.
