My husband and I celebrated new years eve with Quenelle. Although it was a slow go to get there due to the weather, the atmosphere and service at Quenelle quickly warmed us up. We got the seafood tower, French fries, escargot, a wonderful golf drink that I dont remember the full name but it was the best drink I have ever had in my life with bananas, and dessert. It was a nice night to decompress and talk about what our goals are for 2026. The escargot was noteworthy. Delicious and delicate. The dessert i had was impressive and so so delicious and featured hazelnut balls and was gluten free. I highly recommend this establishment. Try it out.

What did I like most about Quenelle? The colors, the wine, the Quenelle dish, and my dear companions (in no particular order). I should start briefly from the beginning. The three of us like to visit new places. Quenelle is French. We wanted something simple, but in a sophisticated and elegant way. The restaurant is nice -- neat, lovely colors, stained glass windows, shiny glassware, etc. Very charming setting. From the beginning we got a bottle of sparkling water and a bottle of Cabernet Franc. We decided to have just a few small plates to start, but our server wouldn't take the order until we made choices for the whole meal. Well... That's very French, no problem. After the first food arrived, we immediately attacked the Quenelle, Escargot and Cuisses de Grenouille. The portions were actually small and could be comfortably shared for a maximum of two people. The Quenelle was simply the best! Halibut mousse in lobster sauce, a completely new experience for me. What a nice surprise. The Frog Legs were very tender and moist. Wondering why there were only two pairs of them. It tasted like chicken, anyway ;). The Escargots were prepared with a small amount of butter, almost no garlic or any herbs. It came with a stale, dry baguette toast. We had to be careful when biting into it. The oysters were delicious. Talking about 'Large Plates'. My Bouillabaisse was served in a dip bowl full of broth, and yes, seafood, but I imagined the Bouillabaisse quite differently. The soup was supposed to contain halibut and scallops, and I got mainly mussels. The scallop was chopped. I found some small pieces of fish. Was it even Bouillabaisse, or just a mussel dish masquerading as something else? I wanted my food to have a little more 'wow' factor, but no. The presentation was poor. The bread which came with the fish soup, again, was hard like a rock (ugh!). Also, the broth was too heavy on fennel for my taste. I ate it, but did I actually enjoy it fully? To be honest, not quite. We liked Coquille aux Endives Braisées the most (a scallops dish). Buffalo must be happy to have another French restaurant. You should check this place out for yourself. My experience may be the opposite of yours. Damn, Bouillabaisse! The complementary macaroons were a little treat. I chose the green one. It tasted like my childhood.

Loved the cozy romantic vibe! The Christmas tree and other holiday decor was adorable. Definitely a nice spot to celebrate an anniversary or other special occasion. The food was delicious - I really enjoyed my meal of oysters, the cheese plate and beef tartare. The pistachio crème brûlée was FANTASTIC. Only reason I'm giving a 4 is service was average - didn't really add to the nice vibe of the environment and food. They had a few vegetarian options which was nice for my friend that I went with. She said her veggie quiche was delicious. Would definitely go back!

I really enjoyed Quenelle, especially as a gluten-free person because almost all of their dishes are gluten-free. It's gorgeous inside and the service was good. It was only their second week open when we went so there were some growing pains, but they did great. I'm really excited to go back. It's also a great spot to sit at the bar and have small bites. If you don't feel like having a full dinner.

Great food, drinks, service and atmosphere. Definitely add this to your date night spot list, or for a couple cocktail's in a laid back atmosphere.

Cute place, I remember the old Rue Franklin and Quenelle is not that. Ambience and table spacing was great. Everyone was friendly. Attentive/available staff maybe not as much. Missing utensils several times. God bless the service staffs luck, however, in being able to wear jeans and converse with huge hair not pulled back- the only thing French Dining about that to me is that in true French form, most French don't give a feck what you care about lol. Just odd to me. Have some respect for the industry and the 80 bucks you made in 90 minutes. Lol, I have to wear a button down for half that. The wine list is small but ample and enjoyable. Average French menu, nothing crazy. In my opinion- it's a French restaurant in Buffalo. This is not a restaurant in France- while that statement may be obvious just know if you're looking to recreate the cuisine you had wherever you were vacationing while in France proper, this is not the place. The appetizers were fine- oysters, escargot, carrote and bread service. Current Duck entree and bouillabaisse were hits (not a classic bouillabaisse.). Boeuf bourguignon was just ok. Great protein, cold pommes de terre, under salted overall. We ordered all three desserts. Cranberry cake with orange glaze was a perfect holiday desert. Baked Chocolate mousse with salted caramel and creme was delicious. Pistachio creme brulee- custard was weird and pistachio underwhelming- maybe a candied/praline pistachio garnish?

The place was very posh and beautiful. Highly recommend their French onion soup and the dessert were phenomenal. Everyone in my party enjoyed their dishes thoroughly. The only downfall of the night was our server. She wasn't super attentive and for what you pay you would expect more of a wow factor with the experience.

Dining at Quenelle feels less like being served and more like being ignored - with a hefty bill as a parting gift.

There were only a few other guests during our stay and things began to pickup as we were leaving. In the past, later at night, we've walked by and the place is quite packed. If you like quiet intimacy and a deal on drinks and food happy hour is your golden time here. I almost hate to share this secret tbh. Don't go. Leave this for me haha. The drinks here are all delicious and lovingly made. Really superb cocktails that taste good. The food is pretty good. It is clearly prepared well and presented artfully. I do think that calling a burger, "A quest for heaven" and not having it be super memorable and mind blowingly flavorful is a miss. It's a good burger and I'd eat it again but it's not a craveable item and I hoped with such a small menu it would be amazing. The charcuterie is super generously portioned and the nduja add on is a huge portion of nduja. Get the charcuterie. The crab toast was good and I'd get it again. We want to try baked brie next time. We also tried the pistachio mousse dessert and it was very pretty but lacked a lot of pistachio flavor. A chocolate cup full of unflavored but rich whipped cream and a minuscule amount of pistachio flavored something that was holding the cup to the plate. We were mostly just confused by the name of the dish versus the experience. It was good just not pistachio mousse. We actually wondered if someone accidentally prepared it wrong. We were here for an anniversary and were given free champagne before our meal and offered more at the end which we declined because of all the other lovely drinks we'd had. The service was great, the staff were polite and informed about the menu and drinks and the bartenders made wonderful things. Will be trying Saint Neri again soon.

I feel like it has fine dining aspirations (and could totally nail it!) but just needs some small details to really reach it. Our food was great - perfectly cooked strip steak, chicken pot pie with the best buttery crust that I devoured and didn't leave feeling overly full. Crème brûlée that my husband said was one of the most flavorful custards he's ever had. Areas of improvement: the wall next to our table was all gouged up which, any other place I don't care (and it certainly didn't take away from the meal) but for a special occasion may be more noticeable. Olive tapenade was good but the baguette didn't seem fresh which is a shame being so close to so many great bakeries and the co-op. No small plates served with appetizer, no spoon with dessert, no steak knife with steak, bill wasn't accurate to order (I ordered a $37 item when I was told the pot pie was gone but they had another one left so I got what I wanted but CPP was $17 and the bill still had the more expensive item) NOW: these are such minor, minor things and I would hardly say took away from the meal meaningfully but for a Saturday night, just easy fixes to really elevate the experience. Bill was fixed quickly and all missing utensils appeared quickly, We'll be back for sure!

Hubs and I came for dinner with four friends a couple weeks back and though it was a splurge, I have no regrets. Everything I had was delicious. We had: Focaccia Roasted Carrots Wagyu strip Rhubarb Panna Cotta Pineapple Pavlova I also had a Freakin' Beacon mocktail. Everything was SO GOOD. That focaccia was like no other focaccia I'd ever had but was delicious; crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. The steak (med rare) was perfect to me, hubs thought it was a tiny bit too rare for him. It was super tender and easy to eat, perfect char. I couldn't eat the chimmichurri it came with as it has Thai basil (not usual in chimmichurri, but I'm allergic, and the server was very good about asking about allergies) but honestly, it didn't need it. That steak stood on its own. Both desserts were delicious, but to my surprise I think the pavlova was even better than the panna cotta (and I love panna cotta). The portions were very generous and I was pretty stuffed by the time I got home. Our portion of the bill was over $200 (hubs also had some cocktails and the steak alone was almost $90) but it was so good, we'll want to come back when we're in town for sure.
