In addition to the actual quesadilla you get dipping salsas which are such a good add. Can totally change up the flavor with each bite! I love the chicken and usually stick with that, but every now and then I get the shredded beef instead, which is also tasty. In addition to build your own options where you pick the cheese type, meat, and fixings, they have crafted specials you can't go wrong with! Now the salsa sides....yummy! Man, this place was good. After a full day at the Fresno Zoo and a long drive back to Bakersfield ahead, it was good to stop and get some really good food. I wish that they had more variety in drinks but that was made up for in their vast quesadilla options. I got the classic quesadilla while my wife got her own custom version. Both were very delicious and filling. I wish I could have shared pictures of what we received but it was looking and smelling so good I couldn't get the camera out fast enough. Quesadillas are hard to mess up unless you burn a tortilla but these guys are good. At first I wasn't terrible excited when they opened because this is something you can make at home. I love that they've diversified and now have weekly specials with non-traditional quesadillas for example: a spaghetti quesadilla or a enchilada quesadilla. My husband and I came in tonight totally stoked for some dillas, chips, and brew. Once we discovered there were no chips to be had tonight, we were a bit bummed, but then once the cashier rang up both of our quesadillas for $27 with NO drinks, we were honestly stunned. I understand inflation, but WOW! We were so disappointed, we didn't even eat our quesadillas at the restaurant. We ended up taking it to go so we could go grab our own chips. Once home, we discovered (as someone else had mentioned) that the fillings were skimpy and not at all like they were just a few months ago. I'm not sure if the quality of foods have gone down because they've opened other locations and are not paying as much attention to their homestead? We used to love coming here, but sadly probably won't return because of the price and quality. It was my pleasure to come here again thanks to a Yelp event! It reminded me to come here more often! I've almost forgotten how good this place is! I ordered a "make it your own" quesadilla and I think this combo was fantastic! Should put it on the menu! Lol it was (shredded beef, cheddar cheese, with two sides : pico de gallo and Spanish rice) and two sides: avocado salsa and cilantro cream. Let's talk about the individual components! The shredded beef was so tender and cooked down. Pico de Gallo gave just the amount of balance and texture to the quesadilla and the Spanish rice was ridiculous because it was so flavorful. Not dry at all! The cilantro cream sauce was sooo good and the avocado salsa had just the right about of kick and heat to it. Again, I wanted to save some for my husband but end up eating 75% of it. I've been going to quesadilla gorilla since their only store was in downtown Visalia in the little hole in the wall where you could only really sit outside. Those were the good old days. The dilla of the day was something unique. They had a bourbon peach and pork dilla one time (still my all time favorite). It was quality, tasted freshly made. The guy at the Visalia store wasn't the owner so maybe the specials were his idea. I used to joke with the people that they'd kill it in Fresno. Later they did they were opening two in Fresno. One downtown and one by the high school. It was great news. No more 45 minute drives so I was jazzed about it. The one downtown closed because most things not involving being a belligerent drunk, don't last long downtown. But the one by Fresno high was bound to flourish. And it did. Owners went to Instagram and said they were closing the three rivers location (which was a truck and in a great spot) and franchising out to SLO. Things were looking up for them. I finally make it back to Fresno and can't wait to go have a quesadilla. It was a big disappointment. The dilla of the day is now the dilla of the week (at minimum according to folks in town) it's kinda the same thing in a cycle. The filling is sparse, which I get inflation is a bitch. But it didn't taste as good. It was bland. And tasted like the meat had been mass cooked prior and once put into the quesadilla, became over cooked. They also didn't have any chips which was a bummer. And to top it off, it was $30 for two quesadillas (no Kong style.) We certainly don't mind paying $30 for enjoyable food. But for average food, it's a bad deal. They serve alcohol there now which is a plus. It seems like maybe as the business has expanded, the quality has declined. If I'm near Visalia I'll go back to the original store and see if it still holds up there and maybe it's a location issue. But I'm wondering if the owners are able to keep tabs on the multiple locations like they did the original (which I never saw them at) but never disappointed. Hopefully the gorilla can get it together. But after today it'll be a long time before I drop another 30 bucks when there are tastier options out there. read more

The system - as easy or as complex as you like for building your desired cheesy bite. Also their POS (point of sale system) is hella fast. I bet their food truck is super efficient. The support for dietary restrictions/needs - 10/10 like this review would have already been a 5 just for this. Vegan, celiac, and dairy-free friendly. The location - casual but slightly elevated so that you would feel like you can bring a date. The food - let me tell you about our lord and savior THE SALSAS. get all of them. Have a tasting you will remember forever. Like they could enter into a competition they're so good. The quesadillas - juicy, packed, cheesy. Had the veggie and had the chicken/bacon one. Both delicious. Expect to get drippy so if you're on a date or wearing a nice shirt - they have cutlery for that. No matter what you order, you will be getting the satisfaction of the cheesy pull like they show in commercials. Drinks - beer and wine selection is excellent. So surprised I've never left a review. Cut to the chase, I love these quesadillas. During COVID restrictions as of 10/1/20, they are only doing takeout. I didn't see any notice that they'd be opening up like many places are at the end of the week but I would certainly check soon if you're ok with indoor dining right now. Normally, they want you to fill out your order on pieces of paper since you have a good number of fillings and salsa options. They aren't doing that right now (never liked that, anyway); you just order at the cash register. There are signs directing which way to go to order/pay and different direction for pick up/already paid. The cashier takes your name and number and you are texted your receipt and then when your order is ready. There were only two other people when I arrived so I waited inside; it's actually a good size space. I really hope QG makes it through this nightmare. As some reviews have said, QG is pricey for a quesadilla, and that's probably true if you're doing a build your own. I almost always order the special because it's usually very creative. And filling. This visit the special was the Elote y Mas with roasted corn, bacon, cilantro, cotija cheese and topped with tapatio mayo, fresh parmesan. I could not taste the lime salt zest except that I think that's what made the quesadilla a little too salty. Not too salty to finish! I'm not sure what people mean that these aren't filling. Again, maybe if you're doing a build your own but that's not the way to go here. Off the regular menu, my go to is the Atomic Veggie. The Classic is also delicious; they know how to make good chile verde. The Evan Bolling with cilantro lime chicken is also a solid choice. I had been here only once when they first opened up shop in Fresno. It's honestly been forever and I'm not sure why I never came back! I had an awesome BOGO coupon which prompted me to come back tonight. My bf and I got the "build your own" quesadilla, I got cilantro lime chicken , fajita veggies , white blend cheese and black beans. He got shredded beef, beans, rice and white blend. The sauces were a great addition and provided even more flavor and kick, my favorite ones are the roasted sour cream ,avocado salsa and cilantro cream-sooo yummy. Not only Is the food top quality and flavorful the service is excellent. Our cashier was a pleasure and even took the liberty to throw away all our trash for us before we even got up. He didn't have to do that ! At the end , we decided to try the pbj and Nutella offering for dessert. It was unexpectedly delicious, I never thought they would pair so well in a tortilla, they also sprinkled it with powder sugar, and cinnamon chocolate. Side note : you get 10% off when you check in on yelp. Also, they offer a mobile app now that allows you to pay before you pick up your food, not sure if they offer coupons on there yet but it's a great option during lunch hours or when pressed for time. I have been going here ever since it opened and always raved about it to everyone I knew. However, these last couple years I can see the quality and craft going downhill. Went there Friday afternoon 6/23 and all tortillas were burnt and ingredients were mushy and sloppily put together. The liquid sour cream tasted spoiled. I couldn't take it back because I already drove a ways away. It used to taste super crispy and fresh. Seems like they are a victim of their own success and this location has been neglected after expansion. I came back hoping the next time would be better and it was just a one-off. Told staff and the nice lady said we can remake it for you, but than the cook comes out and says that's what it's supposed to look like. The cook trumped the other staff with no apology. I've been coming to this location since the place opened, I live within walking distance. I've easily spent over $1000 on this one location. They have other cooks that have made my customized order perfectly but this cook was not one of those. There's other places that put more in the quesadilla like more cheese, meat, etc for same price. The meat didn't have much flavor. My friend said theirs wasn't very flavorful either. We both got shredded beef. The roasted sour cream helped a bit for flavor when poured on the quesadilla (came in a separate sauce container). The fajita veggies were pretty good in the quesadilla. The shredded beef, rice, black beans, and cheese weren't too memorable even though got half white and half cheddar. They didn't provide the salsa that came with the chips that was ordered. This pisses me off when places do that. Food places do this either because not being careful about doing their job correctly or being cheap with the salsa. I expect everything that I ordered to be in the closed bag. Besides again, some other places don't charge for salsas and you get as much as you want. $12 for quesadilla that includes one meat, one cheese, two fillings, two sides. I went for lunch yesterday and it did take about 10-15 minutes to get my food so ordering ahead is best if you're on a lunch break. They had a parklet for eating outside but it was sprinkling so the tables and chairs weren't set up. Parking is kind of annoying but even at lunch rush I found a spot down the street. You can customize whatever you want, including vegetarian and vegan options, and you get a lot of food for a reasonable price. What a fun concept! I love the creativity going on here and it really feels like what contemporary Fresno is moving towards! The interior is nice and minimal, feeling very contemporary without fussy or too socal. Finally got to try this place... Went with three colleagues from work. We all loved it! As you probably figured out from other reviews, you select the meat you want, the type of cheese, the type of extra fillings, and the type of sauce. There's a little tally sheet thing that you fill out and hand to the person at the counter. I had the chili Verde, with fajita veggies filling, and both the guacamole and a spicy cilantro cream sauce for dipping. It was fantastic! I thought maybe one quesadilla wasn't going to be enough for lunch, but I was totally wrong. Between the meat filling, the extra feelings, and the sauces, it was great. My friends all loved their selections as well. Between the four of us, we had lots of the different sauces. I'll try something new next time... But again, everything was very very good.
