If you don't make an appointment, expect to wait, sometimes 2 hours or more, since you don't have an appointment 4. Don't expect to be seen sooner if you have a medical issue. Everyone is there because of a medical issue. 5. Be kind to the people there. They are working hard to help you. We saw two ladies when we visited 3 times this morning (the orders didn't come in). I didn't catch the first lady's name, but the second one was Rayne. They were both amazing! They both treated my daughter with the utmost respect and kindness. I recently had labwork performed at this South Fry location. I made an appointment online and upon arriving, had to wait about 30 minutes before I was called. Check-in is digital on a couple electronic podiums, which I prefer rather than have the waiting room folks hear my name and personal info called out by a live receptionist. I was pleasantly surprised to receive excellent service from a phlebotomist named Elizabeth. She was friendly, professional, and did not object when I mentioned that I needed a butterfly needle instead of the usual larger size needle. I'm so glad that Elizabeth was the one who performed my labwork in comparison to another staffer couple weeks prior at another location! read more

They are fast, efficient and friendly- even in the early morning! I took my mom for blood work and the process is pretty efficient. You make a reservation beforehand. So, when you go in, check in and wait. I don't think we've waited more than 10 mins to go in. This time, we got in as I was finishing checking in. Once you're in, the staff is pretty quick with gentle hands. Our phlebotomist was actually annoyed that our doctor's requests weren't as efficient- I liked that she had to call someone in to confirm the labs. Instead of everything on one note, our doctor did 3 tests separately so my mom had to sign off separately and answer "questions" separately. She was annoyed too, but the phlebotomist was quick. All in all, we were in and out in about 15-20 mins. I'm sure it would've been quicker if our doctor had sent in the lab requests all together. read more

I was simply dropping off a prepared sample. There is no Dropbox. There is no person to help you. You check in at a kiosk. You have to hit the help screen to get a number to drop off. But you are waiting behind all the people that are in the waiting room. Nothing quick about it. This is incredibly inefficient for anyone who simply wants to drop off something. No one to even answer a simple question. Do NOT go to this location if you have any questions or want to simply drop off something that is already prepared and packaged properly. Extremely unprofessional and rude. The workers were throwing stuff and slamming stuff the whole time I was in there. They were also disrespectfully talking about patients where anyone could over hear. It was also very disgusting. The first time I went back there was urine samples on the table and left over trash where I was asked to sit. The second time I went back these nasty arm bands had hair all over them. When asked for a clean one I might as well been asking for them to do flips. I don't know who manages this place but their attitude trickles down. today I and my son came to this place for a blood work. Therese met Milton who took blood from both of us. He did it absolutely painless. I have never had in my life anyone who could do it that good. Typically multiple nurses would try to drawn blood from both of my hands in multiple spots. I spoke to Milton and found out that he is a professional doctor, anesthesiologist, who recently came from another country and can work just as a nurse here. i would definitely would recommend him to anyone who needs to have their blood drawn. read more

Make sure if you have to have blood work in that kind of thing done that you don't touch anything while you are in there. The exam room I was in for just a simple blood draw had blood on the floor that appeared to have been there over different periods of time. For example some was dark and dry and fresh. Beyond terrible. Quest should investigate this location .... that's how bad it was. Arrived timely. 10 minutes before appt and checked in via My Account online. Said I could wait in the car and they Would text me. After 15 minutes, I went inside and my name was number 1 of 6 people on the board. Over the next 46 minutes I watched not only the 5 people after me go in and come out but an additional 2 people arrive and go in. After the third person going ahead of me, I stood up and asked the tech who was bringing that person back why I hadn't been called yet. Maybe because I am white and she was black .... she completely ignored me and shut the door. When the 7th person behind me got called, I stood up and had to practically argue with the tech about why I hadn't been taken back yet. She then disappeared for five minutes and came back and got me. She also explained that I had been texted and that I was a no-show. I asked her how I could be a no-show when I was sitting in the lobby and nobody bothered calling my name. I also asked her how I could be a no-show if my name was number 1 on the board for almost 40 minutes. I also asked her how she and the other techs could consistently come to the lobby and bring new people back when it was obvious I had been out there for almost an hour and nobody ever asked me why. She had no answers to those questions. When I finally got back into the area where you were tested, my tech was extremely disorganized. I had my orders. They were clear and concise. I've been to quest numerous times and I know what is expected. She had to go get the manager to help her figure out how to put the test code in for one of their most basic tests. All said and done... I was in there for more than 72 minutes total. And I will never ever return to this location again. And I am telling as many people as possible about my experience. read more

I was called to the back at my appointment time. The lady that gave me my test was friendly and efficient. The facility was clean and there was hand sanitizer for public use. This is the preferred lab of my insurance company, but it's the first time I've ever been to Quest for blood work. Most of my doctors send me straight to LabCorp. So what are the differences? LabCorp is open on Saturdays and Quest is not, so LabCorp might be a bit faster on results. They do the same tests, but just have different names or procedures (and yes, this is total valid and acceptable in the world of science). That said, I had no issues at all while here. It's pretty hard for most people to find a vein on me and they are not visible meaning that most have to find them by feeling. With that, I am typically poked multiple times and the person digs around. That didn't happen here - she got it on the first try and it was quick and painless! I'm hoping that when and if I have to return to this spot for blood work, I get the same practitioner. That said, it sounds like your use of these places are going to be based on doctor and insurance preference and they are otherwise the same. read more

I came in for my routine blood work this morning. I had made an appointment via the great app. for 9.30 am and got a check-in link via SMS earlier this morning. I arrived 9.29, clicked the check-in link, confirmed my arrival when I walked through the door and was called in when I had reached the waiting area by Ms Chavawna Ross. I'm never too thrilled about getting blood work done, so the quicker I can get it over with the better. That being said, this Quest Diagnostics location surprisingly exceeded my "get in and get the hell out" mission and for that, I'm rollin' out 5 stars! I've had bad experiences with wait times at other locations, so I came here expecting the same which was not the case, thank goodness. They open at 7AM so I arrived about 10 minutes til with hopes of being one of the first to get in, but there were already about 6 other people waiting at the door with the same intention. The door was unlocked at 7AM on the dot and I signed in shortly after. FYI- I did not have an appointment time scheduled so the question at this point was how long would I have to wait to get called back? To my surprise, not long at all- at 7:15AM they called me to the back and was ready to get going. The phlebotomist who waited on me was very friendly made the process easy breezy. Before I knew it, I was done and back in my car by 7:30AM- true story. Quick tip- this location is in the Nottingham Village strip mall and can easily be passed up if you don't pay attention, as it is toward the middle of the lot and can't be seen from the street. I can't vouch for how the service is throughout the day, but I would advise to get in as soon as they open if possible, that way you can avoid the possibility of a long wait time. After they were done eating I ended up waiting another 15 minutes before being seen. That makes a total wait time of 45 minutes, then they draw my blood only to pop my vain = inexperienced.
