They are in no rush to help you here. I was waiting (stand-by) and was next in line after being there for an hour already. I saw multiple people leave but no one (me) was being called in. Then, a woman came in and checked into her appointment at the kiosk and within a minute she was called in for her appointment. So they had people back there who could've seen me (and I was there for lab work which takes about 5 minutes) but chose not to. Then, a steady stream of people with appointments came in and since I was stand-by, was pushed to the bottom of the waitlist. So disrespectful. read more

This is the cleanest and nicest Quest I've ever been to. I come here a lot for various blood work and labs and it is the most pleasant experience ever. I have never had an issue getting an appointment and many times the waiting room is empty (sort of a hidden gem). All the staff I've interacted with have been great: Wendy, Cyndi and Faye never leave me with bruises and treat me wonderfully. I highly recommend this one! read more

Great location, which is very convenient. Unfortunately there is no one manning the front desk and they have only one tablet for check-in. I had an appointment and checked in on the tablet 15 minutes early, yet I was taken in by the technician approximately 25 minutes AFTER my appointment time. I sat there watching a continuous line-up of people as they waited to access the one tablet. Every so often you'd get that one person who didn't have their id accessible or was confused by the check-in, which made the line grow even longer. I also saw people walk-in and not sign in, but try to wait and catch the lone (and flustered) technicians who occasionally came out to grab the next person. Other patients walked in cutting off the rest of the group that were already checked-in telling the technician that they were fasting for a specific amount of time and had to have their blood drawn sooner rather than later. All of this, which made my secured appointment time that I had made a few weeks prior, fall back even later. Pretty surprising for an early morning appointment. I'm not sure if this location is worth the convenience if they continue to run this way. read more

Vanessa was amazing! I am very anxious with getting my blood taken and she was very considerate of that. She was a sweetheart and talked to me about her process of finding my vein to assure me. My veins were not great, but she took her time to feel and compare all of my veins to find our best chance. Unfortunately, the first poke wasn't successful, but she was very careful with maneuvering the needle so there was not much pain with it. Although the second chance wasn't very likely at succeeding, she kept feeling my vein until she was confident and she succeeded! I have had many bad experiences with getting my blood drawn, but Vanessa changed that for me. I will be coming back to this location and requesting Vanessa in the future. The first poke did not even leave a bruise, I was shocked. The office was a good experience. I was a walk-in that was supposed to wait around an hour, but was taken in within 15minutes. read more

This location is horribly run! I showed up as a standby before the location opened and noticed that the employees there don't report to work until after the start time of the location. Then, I'm assuming that since they arrived so late, they didn't take the appointments on time and they didn't see even see the 8:10 appointment until 8:40. Also there is only one check in kiosk which some patients couldn't figure out to use and since there is no one behind the desk every time a phlebotomist came to call someone back they would have to help them putting them further behind. Then over an hour after arrival an announcement that since appointments take priority standbys would not be seen for several hours! Maybe if they showed up to work on time and had employees that could facilitate check in they wouldn't run so far behind! Pathetic! This location is the closest for me but it is not worth the incompetence! My advice is that if you can go elsewhere, do! read more

They used to be good. Now, without warning they have switched to appointments only. No walk-ins. If you walk-in and try to check in, the system forces you to make an appointment later in the day or the next day. Supposedly this is so you don't have to wait when you have an appointment but I've already been waiting 10 minutes. Not impressed with the new system Quest. read more

Closest location to me is why I return. Beautiful lactation inside Hoag. However, they are always running very behind. Not enough workers. No one at front desk anymore. Now you check in via ONE kiosk infront that takes several minutes to do, per patient. Not sure why they even bother with appointment times anymore as they run at least 30min behind. read more

I had to return the next day 8/30/23 at 8: am because when I returned at 1:00pm on 8/28/23 I was no longer fasting, I was fasting when I initially went to quest at about 11:00am, unfortunately I could not continue the fasting until I returned, like I said Nurse Rosa was a god send I still am not sure what the other nurses problem was with me or what she had against me but if she is there next time I go I will leave and not return there again even though it is only 10 min from my house, life is to short I I have no need to deal with people like that who just ruin your day read more

Our pediatrician sent my infant daughter here for a blood draw this morning on Friday August 25th. My wife and I are traumatized by the inexperienced technician and her inability to perform the blood draw. The procedure was supposed to be a simple heel prick to get a blood sample. We have been to CHOC in Orange and the technicians were able to get the same procedure done while the baby was asleep. The nurses at Quest today started off by saying they don't have any experience with infants, that should have been our first clue to leave. They still performed the test although they were generally unsure how to go about the procedure. One nurse held down our baby while the other pricked our daughters feet a total of 10 times. Blood was everywhere but in the vial. The table was covered in blood, the nurse was covered in blood, blood was running down our daughters leg. The nurse was able to collect ONE small sample with barely anything in it and said, "this won't be enough to test, go and get a sample somewhere else." She told us that our "little boy" was "dehydrated" and that's the reason she couldn't collect a sample. (We fed her just before the test) I would never recommend coming here for a blood draw for any children or infants because of the lack of care and experience they have. I will post pictures to show you how badly they mutilated her poor little feet. Our daughter screamed like we've never seen before for the entire 30 minute procedure and we were told they will have to throw away the sample so she was tortured for nothing. Best Quest Diagnostics I've been too. Staff are friendly. I've been putting off my child's blood draw because I'm scared that it might be a traumatic experience, but Wendy was really good at her job, and it was a hassle free visit. A few weeks later, I came for my own blood draw. Too bad I forgot my phlebotomist's name, but she's also good. On both times, we had an appointment, so we were in and out in just a few minutes. They have a walk-in choice but you could be waiting there for 3 hours or more and never get youlr labs done.

Unfortunately, I had such a negative experience today that I need to reach out to customer service and can only hope that this issue will be handled going forward. I scheduled an appointment for regular labs at 1.30pm today and arrived at the Quest location at 1.28pm. Shortly before that time, I received a text message offering to "conveniently check in through a link". I did so and a screen displayed the message: "Check-In Complete! Please enter our service center and have a seat, you will be called soon. No need to check in again when you get inside." -- I sat down and waited. At around 1.45, I was wondering what took so long and went to the check-in counter to see the status. To my very surprise, the check-in counter needed me to re-check in and after doing so displayed the message 'You are more than 10 minutes late to the appointment, it has therefore been cancelled." Very frustrated, I walked to the front desk and tried to get a hold of someone, showing the message on my phone that clearly instructed me to not take any further action and informed me I had successfully checked in. A confused and rude representative finally came to the front desk, after I waited there for another 8 minutes, and had to see my e-mail confirmation to even locate my appointment. After trying to figure out if I had an appointment in the back for another 5 minutes, she came back and told me that she had actually found my appointment, but that they were a little backed up today. I told her if she could just put me as next in line given the fact that my appointment had been 30 minutes earlier and the appointment systems had clearly been failing on multiple fronts. Upon further inquiry, I was informed that being "a little backed up" meant that appointments from 1pm were taken in at 2pm. Hence, my 1.30 appointment would involve at least another 30 minute wait, likely more as the waiting room was packed. How is this acceptable practice? Why do I make an appointment to be able to go to a lab during working hours only to be ignored? In addition, there is not transparency in this process. Not a single text message or call informed me about the wait, or gave me an option to reschedule before sitting there without any information or attention for what seems to have ended in a 90 minute wait. This is unacceptable and quite frankly outrageous given the fact that I had been fasting the entire morning and day too in order to get accurate results. This entire experience has been unknown to me at other Quest locations, yet I can only express my deep shock for how things were handled today and by how badly the appointment systems are set up to accommodate or even register patients. I have scheduled an appointment with LabCorp and will not be coming back. I will leave it at your discretion whether you want to follow up about this situation or not, either way, I had to bring it to your attention. read more

First of all - the one star review for this location should be removed because the automated scheduler and the inefficiency of it isn't this place's fault. So I don't think it's fair for the place to get dinged for something they have no control over with. Second - this location should be the model of all Quest Diagnostics (if it isn't already) because this place is the best I've been to and I've been to a lot of Quests in OC. I was in and out of this place. I got called right at 12:15 which was my appointment. They mean serious business here when it comes to being prompt and professional. You could tell that the people who work here like what they're doing. They're friendly and I felt so welcomed which was the complete opposite of all my previous experiences with other locations combined. The facility is luxurious and I felt very safe. Everyone was masked up and wore face shields. This is now going to be my go to lab! read more

Literally the best lab in the area! The ladies here are so nice and have excellent customer service. Quest is very strict about needing appointments but morning appointments are impossible to get and i needed labs done on a specific day of my cycle at 8am which i can't predict making an appointment impossible. I made appointments online same day appts were available upon arrival you enter the appointment code. The minute I sat down both times my name was called within 2 minutes. Elizabeth was absolutely amazing. I went in after having many other tests done that day and was incredibly dehydrated to the point where quite literally no veins could be found. She managed to painlessly draw two vials from the middle of my forearm which anybody who's had blood drawn would know is no easy task. Best Quest location I've ever been to! Very clean, nice and new! The staff was very friendly! I didn't have an appointment and there was zero wait time, they got me right in which was great! I passed out the last time I got my blood drawn so I was very nervous this time and the phlebotomy tech was so patient with me and sweet! Worst experience. Nobody at the front desk. Kiosk to to check in was broken. It was chaos as several patients were in the waiting room and there was no order. No social distancing and many without masks. Received my test results and they were VERY inaccurrate. My doctor agreed that the tests would need to be repeated. I tried to contact the lab by phone only to get thrown into a phone loop that repeats their address a million times then finally says they can't process a call at this time over and over. I went in without an appointment to get my 15month old's labs drawn. Faye got her blood on the first stick! I am an RN and I know how hard it is to stick little kids.
