Hoag presents itself as a trusted, patient-centered organization, yet my experience reflected a system more focused on revenue protection than ethical transparency. To be clear: this is not about insurance complexity--this is about being told one thing, relying on that information, and then being billed another way entirely. That crosses a line. Patients deserve honesty, clarity, and full disclosure before care is rendered, not after the bill arrives.
