Horrible place. I made an appointment only to have the ipad in the lobby tell me twice that I had no appointment and there were no walk ins. It took a week for me to finally be seen. One of the worst locations here in SCV i came here last week i had forgotten my lab slips but i had them on my phone. The one in canyon country allows you to email them to phlebotomist. This one said i could but it was the only time they would allow. Valencia has crappy phone service specifically in that section so it wasn't going through, he told me I could step outside and then he would call me in as soon as he got it. I stepped out sent it, and i waited.. and waited... and waited.. finally someone asked if i had been helped and i explained the situation, she said she would let him know. She comes back a few minutes later and says he's busy doing something else and i'm now past my appointment time and i have to sign up as a walk in and who knows how long the wait will be now. I was so mad i left. The email went through right away i shouldn't have had to reschedule my damn appointment due to the phlebotomist being a dick. read more

I had an Excellent experience. I was a walk in around 3:15pm on a Thursday. I checked in through the iPad at the reception desk and had an approximate wait time of 16 minutes. There were 4 people ahead of me. The waiting room was clean, has magazine material to for patients to read and a television for entertainment. They have two flat panel monitors displaying each patient's wait time and line up status. I filled out a little info on the doctors order and handed it in, walked to the back upon my name cal and got my blood drawn by a friendly employee. He was quick, efficient and professional. I don't know what's up with everyone else's experience on here but I happened to come on a day they were short of 2 staff and my walk in went smoothly and in a reasonable timely matter. read more

Like most corporate medical facilities, this one has cut back on staff and between a confusing webpage, having to navigate a phone tree which gave me irrelevant information and no human, I went to their office to get their test kit and their overwork phlebotomist made me wait 30 min to ask about the kit, then gave me a kit which I discovered was the wrong one when I got home. That cost me about 90 minutes of my time and the release of cortisol! I am looking for an independent lab, but they all seem to have failed as corporate medicine has entrenched out health care system. We deserve better! I gave this place a great review last time I was here. And the people are really nice but I Just finished taking my 88 year old mom to dr. Needs blood work ASAP and x Ray. Yes I don't have a appointment, I get that and no how it works, but it was a spur of the moment dr orders. And I have been waiting outside for 3 hours and every time someone comes they kick her down the list. Finally I said to the dude, come on man she been fasting all day and you have had 3 or 4 people at one time and you can't get this shit done (not like there is 20 people out there waiting) then he gives me appointment and priorities Stuff, I just said a 88 year old lady with heart failure is neither I guess. I've had testing done at this location a number of times, but they are only taking appointments right now (no walk-ins), and appointments are only made online or via an automated scheduling phone number. There is no way to speak to a real person. I needed 2 tests, but there was no way to confirm that they had orders from my doctor's office, or to schedule both tests at the same time. Good luck using either system to schedule a specific time/date for your convenience. read more

I think Quest is managing its testing quite well during this pandemic. Go in the afternoon, because most people don't want to fast during the day. Mornings are very busy. Poor Service. I needed to drop off a stool sample and did not have an appointment. I entered into the office at 8:10 am on a Friday and saw that there were already about 20 people in the waiting room. There was no one at the reception desk to ask about sample drop offs. I finally was able to flag down a phlebotomist and told him I had a sample drop off and he told me I needed to enter my info on the standby queue. I joined the long line to enter my information in the computer queue and was informed by the computer system that all appointments were taken for the day but I would be put on a standby list. I was placed on a standby presumably to wait for an opening. I sat and waited over an hour, and realized that I was not going to be able to give anyone my stool sample because people with appointments throughout the day were going to keep coming in and I would never have an opening for " an appointment." Appointments over walk ins makes sense if a sample needs to be retrieved, however with a sample in hand, this process is asinine. I sat in the waiting room, with frozen stool that I assume needs to stay frozen for testing purposes and was most likely was thawing out. Eventually I left Quest diagnostics and handed the samples off to my husband who had to meet me there, so that he could take the samples to another location. I had to report to work and was already over an hour late. The fact that a sample can not be quickly handed off to a person is ridiculous, it is unreasonable to wait and wait all day for an opening to hand off a sample to someone. If I had been a person of lesser scruples, I may have just left the items on the unattended desk and walked off. I will no longer be using Quest Diagnostics for my diagnostic needs. There are plenty of other companies offering this same type of service. This location used to be great, but something has fallen through the cracks in the last couple of years, and it is not my job as a client to figure out what the problem is or the solution. read more

I had an appointment set for 1015 but I was fasting and wanted to get an earlier appointment on the website nothing was available. I had an appointment here that they would not honor. The entire staff especially Mike S are unprofessional and rude. They could not produce a manager when I asked to see one. And despite me showing the attached proof of an appointment, I was never seen. Mike S told me, "It's none of your fucking business when I asked for his last name." They even tried to have security get me to leave. After 15 mins they produced a phone number to some non-existent manager. I called and left several messages with no response. Don't go here, Quest is a joke. They haven't been able to respond to Covid like other facilities that do the same thing. They're bogged down with no hope of catching up. And it's clear there is no management here to improve service and efficiency. Maybe if they had better management they could honor patients that have appointments. I've been here a few times now to get lab work done. The first time I got right in with my apt, the second time I had to wait an extra 15 mins before I got called back. It seems to be the busier they are the longer you wait, even with an apt. Lab Tech: I got the same guy twice, older gentlemen with long grey braided hair. He's really good, gets the needle right in and I only had a little bruise after. (However my arms are thin with like no fat on them, so it's granted I'll get some form of bruising). Once they are done with the lab, they show you in the tubes how much and how many they took, so you know it's yours. Overall both my experiences have been good. I suggest make an apt though, otherwise you can be waiting for up to two hours as a walk in. read more

My husband has cancer and his oncologist who is an hour away was very concerned about his iron levels but because of a glitch the test was not done when we were at the Oncologist the day prior but they wanted this info stat to see if he needs an iron infusion so they sent the order to quest so we didn't have to drive all the way back to City of Hope. I was unable to schedule an appointment for the next day (Saturday) at any Quest but the website said this location took walk-ins and it are open until 11am on Saturdays. It was impossible to reach a live person on the phone. We showed up right when they opened at 7am and we're rudely told that we could sit and wait for several hours but no guarantee they could do the blood draw because they leave right at 11am even if there are people waiting for hours. When I asked if we would be seen, the nasty woman working said probably not. They are more concerned about getting out on time then taking care of patients. I've truly never seen healthcare workers who are so uncaring. I work in Customer Service and have to work late sometimes to service all the calls in the que but apparently Quest does not care and shows. My husband is very I'll and can't sit for long periods of time especially to then probably be turned away. I tried to explain that he has cancer and this is very important and oncologist ordered results stat but they wouldn't even let me finish my sentence. No care or compassion. They should update their website to say they don't take walk-ins. I assumed it would be a longer wait but thought by getting there right when they opened at 7am we would be ok since we arrived so early. Very misleading. A total waste of our time and hard on my husband. We could get an appointment with Quest on Monday but after the terrible experience we decided that we would rather drive an hour to his oncologist for the blood test and never set foot in another Quest Lab. read more

When I walked in there were tons of people waiting but it didn't take long for them to get their work done, even for me. I only had to wait 10 minutes until a young man named Ian assisted me. He's extremely friendly, a bright person, and has a smile that no one can forget. He's really chill and he's really good at starting conversations- I'm really awkward and quiet and yet he had be babbling-- he's really good at redirecting your attention away from needles and etc. He's such a sweetheart and I would actually look forward to see him again. The place is also extremely clean so I know I wouldn't have to worry about catching a cold, disease, etc. P.S. Ian is eye candy!! read more

I have been going to this location for years and have always had a pleasant experience I rarely have a appointment but the longest that I have waited is maybe an hour but most times maybe 30 mins or less with no appointment which i expected the staff has always been friendly efficient and very gentle when taking my blood i have small veins and I am always nervous when I have someone new taking my blood but every-time they have been successful and never bruised me once. read more

My veins are very small and scarred from overuse because I am a drug addict. Usually when giving blood, I get stabbed half a dozen times and still the flabotomist very rarely finds a vein and it takes FOREVER!!! Today I had an appointment at 11:15 AM and was on my way back home by 11:30 AM which is record timing for me and my veins and was thanks to the employee there named Daniel.
