so I give 5 stars for the techs. The quest in TO can never get my vein the first time but this one can. The thing is if you have to go in the morning before work or fasting and don't have an appt the wait is insane. I arrived 5 min before they even opened for the day and I waited an hour and 40 min. They take the walk in patients last but when they schedule like 5 appts every 10 min that gives no time for walk ins. I think they should book at least a little extra time for walk ins. read more

There is no customer service. The check on kiosk does not scan properly. I waited 45 minutes and no one was there to help, even though I had scheduled an appointment. I had to confront a nurse when she was escorting a patient and she was rude and dismissive. I ended up leaving as it was not clear if they were going to help. I will never go there again. read more

Not a bad experience at all. I originally tried making an appointment online, but it looks like there were no available appointments at any of the quest diagnostics till next Tuesday (5days away) so I booked the Tues appointment but still decided to take a chance show up early in the day today and see if could potentially be seen as walk-in to test my luck. As luck would have it I walked in, put my name in the kiosk as a walk in around 11:30ish and only 1 other walk in person was ahead of me with 10 scheduled appointments to which the "wait time" was potentially anywhere from 30-60 mins etc and that was an IF. I sat down in the waiting area and they called about 5 people in while waiting and I saw a few people come out as they did so. That took about maybe 20 mins? Then I was called, so not to bad I really only waited 30 mins MAX as a walk in this morning My technician was nice and straightforward but felt bad she seemed a bit rushed but understandable I'm sure she sees a new person every 5 mins. As someone who is DEATHLY afraid of needles and typically faints when blood is drawn she was extremely gentle with me and I barely felt anything. I'm actually shocked how easy it went for me, then we finished after 5-7 mins and had to do a urine sample and done. My only minor complaint is there is typically a box in the bathroom or dedicated box for urine samples away from the Public so it's more private and disclosure however it looks like even after you do the sample you may have to walk back into the testing room while another patient is getting there blood drawn to place is on the box in front of them. It's just alittle weird but none the less not a bad experience, will come again. read more

It's a means to an end, what can I say. Got my labs done. There's a decent wait even with an appointment. Highly impersonal. There's no front desk, you check in on a tablet. Oh and you can't get them on the phone at all. I couldn't get pricing, nothing. read more

This is the last time I come to this branch. They don't take walk-ins even though the system allows it. The workers will not take you it's just a show. The room is empty and they still won't call anyone from the walk-in list. Waste of time. Someone needs to go over their workflow process here. I never leave reviews but felt inclined to because I had such a great experience here. Previously, I went to have blood work done at a Thousand Oaks location of Quest because reviews were overall slightly higher. I unfortunately did not have a good experience. I figured I'd try this location this time around and was so impressed. Both nurses/staff members I interacted with were so friendly, kind, and made me feel comfortable while getting my blood drawn (something that normally makes me so nervous). I wish I had asked their names to compliment them directly. They also seemed to be on top of appt times. Will definitely be back to this location for future needs. read more

Everyone's experience is going to be different given that Quest works with rotating phlebotomists. I get anxiety often for drawing blood nowadays, but I'm leaving this review simply because Sharda made the experience that much better. She doesn't just physically look for the vein, but she can tell by feel where to poke. I was surprised anything came out because my veins are very feint and overall, working with her was a very unpainful experience. To be completely frank, its not my first time at this location and my experience with other phlebotomists hasn't been as good... even bad in a certain case. Wish I could get Sharda every time i get my blood drawn. read more

My husband and I both had an amazing experience at Quest. We usually frequent West Hills. West Hills is usually crowded and you wait for a while if you don't have an appointment. This Quest took us immediately without an appointment. Both GloryFe and Ruben could not have been more courteous and efficient. We will go to Simi Valley all the time for our labs. I've been using Quest Diagnostics for years. I have never had an unpleasant experience here; it's quite the opposite! I have a lot of anxiety when my blood gets drawn. All of the phlebotomists are always so consoling and kind through the experience. They make this unpleasant time very lovely and easy! I recently saw the phlebotomist, Sharda; she was an expert in drawing my blood. There was no bruising, and it was quick! The online and the check in link worked great and the phlebotomist was very good. My problem is with the management of this office. The staff on this day was (maybe other days too) working without butterfly needles and had to use needles that were way too large for the task. It hurt!!! When in for a scheduled appointment today, a girl that works there named Jessica has to be by far one of the rudest human beings I have ever encountered in a medical facility. There were 9 people that had appointments waiting to be seen on time. She literally locked the front door at noon and left these people in the hall made the rest of us go out the back door, then she came in and told the girl that was drawing my blood. "Hey, we're all good. I locked the front door so we can get out of here". Seriously Quest Lab, you have to do better. We're stuck coming to this facility because of insurance. Absolutely ridiculous. Checked in as a walk in at 11:00 with an estimated wait time of 30-60 min. They kept taking appointments 30+ min before their check in time. Left no room for walk ins even though they apparently don't take any walk ins. The last 20 minutes they didn't call anyone new in when people kept leaving so there was space available and right at 12:30 on the dot they said no more and we had to leave. We were next on the list to be called for 30 min and were never called and were told to leave as soon as 12:30 hit. It seemed to us that they purposely didn't call anyone new the last 30 minutes because they wanted to be sure they could be out by 12:30. If at any point they knew we would not be seen, they should have told us instead of wasting an hour and a half. It's so dumb that there are no other options in this city for testing and we are subject to this poor poor service. read more

These people could care less that you don't have an appointment and they will prioritize everyone with an appointment and even call them minutes before their appointments. I asked multiple times how much longer and the blond woman with tattoos could care less about people. I have no idea how she has a job when multiple people complain about her. read more

Do not recommend this location, or Quest in general. Their new model has taken human interaction out. The checkin and waiting process is awful. Entire waiting room agrees. They were late to open, late to accept the first appointments, and the phlebotomists stood in the hallway chatting while walking were waiting. I will look for another lab. I absolutely love this quest lab and Simi Valley. Making the appointment is very easy, they are always on time. This facility is very clean. The lobotomist Sharda always so friendly and very sweet, kind and professional. I live in Simi Valley but my doctors are in West Hills , yet I prefer having my blood work done at this facility. If I could do no stars, I would. My mother who has Breast cancer has to go here pretty regularly, but will no longer be using this location. She had an appointment as she always does, waited for an hour, was by passed by a CVS Employee who said "he needed a professional courtesy" and went ahead of the 30 people in the waiting room. Then the nasty, rude "nurse" phlebotomist came out and told her they could not see her as the Dr. had put the wrong blood code in (I work in the medical field, I get it this happens) but she had already waited an hour, then she told my mother "there are people in the back with cancer........" my mother replied: "I HAVE CANCER" and this lovely humans response was, "You don't look like you have cancer" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This lab has horrible service, the man at the front was very rude and kept deleting my information and asking for it again. They also kept stabbing me with the blood draw needle and my blood was spraying everywhere. I now have a yellow and purple bruise on the place they drew blood and I feel stinging and pain. Worst experience ever! The gal who took my blood (I think her name was Tiffany) only cared about how fast she could get it done. I am 62 years old and have had many blood draws in my life and this blood draw was so painful that I screamed. She kept saying do you want me to stop as if I was the problem. Staffer couldn't read bw order and wasn't much help to figure out. Explained if paid myself I can appeal to Medicare. DON'T do it!!!!!! Lesson learned with a $300 bill. If staff can't read bw order DO NOT pay. Wait. Be warned!!!! Oh and my Medicare appeal's decline was couldn't read dr's order (even though I included updtd dr's prognosis code from office staff ). I'm using a different lab now through Facey and they are first rate even with several bw orders from this same dr. read more

It was the worst service i ever had. I definitely do not recommend this place. First-time appointment i showed up for my baby girl without mask (was unfortunately out of it), and as any other medical clinics and labs, they usually provide their customers with mask. The nurse obliged me to go out to buy a mask and get a new appointment. She didn't want to provide me with just one mask from their lab. The second time i walked in, just to drop off the specimen, they made me wait 1 hour (just to drop off)!¡!!!!! AND AFTER THAT WAIT, they apologized to me for giving me the wrong container!!! Do you know how hard it was to collect the specimen of my baby!!!!!! Their problem is that they don't care about what is behind the scenes of their customers! read more

Made an appointment and checked in on my phone as I was walking in . They cancelled my appointment without even calling my name. There was no one to talk to so I had to wait. When someone finally did come out she was super rude and told me to schedule as a walk in. She told me they called for me 3 times.
