And it was the first of the month so everyone and their mama was at Oil Changers needing a new inspection at 8am. Look. I waited in that line for 3 hours! But I was in my car and just watched videos. Totally my fault. If you come during the middle of the month, I feel like you'd be fine. Don't go first thing in the morning to "beat the crowd" because you ain't beating these guys. I was there at 8am and the line was already to the road. Then someone pulled up behind me so I was stuck. Fml! Not their fault. They have one inspector and one bay dedicated to that inspection. It took about 25mins per car. And yes because my d*mb*ss let my safety inspection expire, I had to wait 3 hours to get the safety inspection, go to the actual dmv to pay in person, then go back to oil changers to get the safety inspection sticker. That process didn't change. And when I came back in the afternoon, there wasn't much of a line, and since I just needed the sticker, the guy just updated his computer and put in on real quick. I don't know if there are quicker places on the island. I'm not that cool. But just don't go on the first or last of the month and you should be good. No appointment necessary just show up, and bring a snack.

Now they told me I gotta spend another $2400 to fix the same problem. My other half and I talked business with the owner's daughter Shay Nakamura about the situation and asked certain questions and she couldn't give any feedback to the situation at hand. She tried to give me a discount, but I don't think it was enough, considering I know for a fact they are charging me 3-4x the actual cost for the parts and then will eventually get more money back because of the cores. I text the number they text me with explaining my situation and there were no response. 2 phone numbers they text me from I left a text message, no response. That right there shows me that that they have poor communication skills. Communication was done with text. To be honest, I prefer real conversation with a person/company. I believe that they either did a poor job 2 and a half years ago or the quality of parts they used suck!! I got ripped off the first time and they tried to do that again the second time around. After playing phone tag, the guy that answers the phone says Saturday isn't even an option as their alignment guy isn't in on Saturdays. I scheduled for today (Monday). Wheels were aligned in about an hour. I thought things were good to go. My tire pressure light went on while I was driving from the shop to work in Honolulu. I called the shop immediately and someone said a manager would call me back. No call ever came today. I took my car to get my tire pressure checked. Only one tire was filled to 33. The rest of them were filled to 18!! My goal tire pressure per the manufacturer is 35. Now I'm questioning the entire accuracy of my service. My two rear tires are brand new (literally days old). The only reason I didn't get my wheels aligned at Lex Brodie's where I got the tires, is because they don't align Audis. Super disappointed in the service here. I've never in all my years of driving had tire pressure that low, and to have it that low after a service is astonishing. Update: 6 days later and no response from the store via phone or yelp. I received a message saying my appointment needs to be moved to Saturday July 25,2026. I arrive for my appointment and I am told that they do not have the tires I requested, but can they install customer bought parts per policy. I understood why they wouldn't install the shocks, but not having the tires, is completely unacceptable. There was absolutely no communication leading up to my appointment that they wouldn't not install my shocks. There was absolutely no communication that they wouldn't have my tires I wanted. Instead of just giving a set of tires that they had in stock for the price of the original tires, the clerk looked at only what "deals" they had available, and didn't even have those tires in stock. I would have to come back on Monday (a day I am unable to make due to my schedule). And I needed tires immediately due to the amount of tread I had on them. As I stood there just in disbelief at the situation before me, the clerk said that was all he could do. I shared that had there been communication prior I would have just went somewhere else, he responded "that's Firestone for you". He did not really try to make the situation right. He was completely ok with having a potential customer leave. He just ended with "sorry that's all that I can do, good luck".
