I made an online appointment on Wednesday July 15, 2026 for Saturday July 18, 2026, online for new tires and installation of a set of shocks I bought. I received a message saying my appointment needs to be moved to Saturday July 25,2026. I arrive for my appointment and I am told that they do not have the tires I requested, but can they install customer bought parts per policy. I understood why they wouldn't install the shocks, but not having the tires, is completely unacceptable. There was absolutely no communication leading up to my appointment that they wouldn't not install my shocks. There was absolutely no communication that they wouldn't have my tires I wanted. Instead of just giving a set of tires that they had in stock for the price of the original tires, the clerk looked at only what "deals" they had available, and didn't even have those tires in stock. I would have to come back on Monday (a day I am unable to make due to my schedule). And I needed tires immediately due to the amount of tread I had on them. As I stood there just in disbelief at the situation before me, the clerk said that was all he could do. I shared that had there been communication prior I would have just went somewhere else, he responded "that's Firestone for you". He did not really try to make the situation right. I went to this store 5 times to have my AC services. 1st time was a refrigerant replacement and they "found" that my compressor and condenser were bad. 2nd time, after that was changed out, there was a high pitched whine that followed engine RPMs. They told me it was the blower motor that went bad. Well, the blower motor doesn't follow engine RPMs, and I made them trouble shoot on the 3rd visit. They then "found" that the previously replaced compressor was not an OEM part and it needed to be replaced. 4th visit replaced the second compressor. STILL DIDNT WORK. My wife took her scion tc in to replace 3 worn out tires. She came home with two alloy rims missing the insignia caps, and a bag containing broken SCION insignia rim cover caps. I called them, they said that the caps were old, and that's why they broke, so they won't replace them. I talked to the manager Ashly. She repeated the same thing. I told her that if I had known that this was their policy, I wouldn't have made the purchase. I explained that in the past I've had the tires changed at Costco, Lex Brodies, Firestone (Waipahu) and not one cap was broken off. She nicely informed me that I could file a complaint. We were on our way to Kapolei when the light on the dashboard came on saying that the tire pressure was low. We were near Pearlridge, but couldn't find a gas station with an air pump. We passed by Firestone and the hubby said that he would ask to see if they would give us some air. He saw one of the mechanics and asked if he could put air in our tire. The mechanic was so helpful. He helped us out without a second thought. It took about three seconds for him to put air in our tire. It was so fast that I didn't know he started. I wanted to get a pic, but it was done. Not long after, the camber adjustment bolts -- which are critical for keeping the alignment secure -- came loose. I want to be clear: I have not touched the truck since Firestone performed the alignment, so there is no possibility that this was caused by me. This is a serious safety issue. Alignment bolts should never come loose if installed and tightened properly. Because of this failure, I completely lost trust in the safety of the vehicle. It got to the point where I had no choice but to purchase another vehicle just to have reliable transportation. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of service I received and the position this put me in. 08/23/25 My engine light came on this morning indicating PSI on all my tires were a little low. My normal go-to place is closed on the weekends. I remembered for yrs my hubby telling me to go to Firestone Aiea to get air if I'm not able to make it to our regular place. He told me they check your tires for free & fill the tires with air. I thought to just wait until Monday when the other place was opened but decided since I was on my way to Pearlridge, I may as well get it done. This business has been here for several yrs and very easy to find. It's located across the hwy from the watercress farm next door to McDonald's. If you are heading east on Kamehameha, you'll see an empty dirt lot on the corner and just past that you'll see the business driveway to the right. That empty lot was the old Shell gas station. Once you pull in you'll see a huge sign at the first bay saying FREE air pressure check. A nice and friendly young man greeted me and assisted me with my tires. In no time, I was out of there, not even 5 minutes. It was my first time to this location and was given great customer service. I cannot vouch for their other services but in the future, it may be a place to consider for other repairs. I felt taken advantage of for being a woman and will never be returning. The person at the front needs to have more experience and knowledge of the service they offer. If not, call a mechanic if they not sure about the question that is asked. but I must say he was very friendly. I knew the problem my car was having after getting it checked by a mechanic. I asked for a quote on the phone then went there in person to show my quote and the parts I may need. I understand that an inspection would need to be done by firestone so I asked what I would need to do. He looked at my quote and saw the parts I needed. He told me what it would cost if that was the problem and those parts were needed plus $10 for the inspection but they still need to do an inspection so they know for sure that is what the problem is. so I scheduled an appointment. I took my car in and 2 hours later I get a phone call from a female. She said my car is ready and there is no problems. I asked her if we are talking about the same car. She said yes and described my car. I asked her if they checked my rear shock and she said yes. I asked if the test drove my car and she said yes. I told her I'm positive something is wrong with my car. After going back and forth, I told her I will come down there, she can jump in the car with me and in less than 5 seconds of driving she can see for herself that there is definitely a problem with my rear suspension. She then tried to tell me their inspection is only a visual inspection and another type of inspection would need to be done to determine whether there is a problem with my suspension. I asked her if that's the case, why would the first guy I spoke to tell me otherwise. I then explained to her again that if someone test drove my car, there is no way they wouldn't notice something is wrong with my car. She then said that my car was test drive from the parking stall to the bay (less than 10 yards away) and the mechanic didn't notice any noise. I told her I'll be right there and she can jump in for 5 seconds and hear for herself, then tell me nothing wrong. She said she'll call me back. Sure enough she called back and now there's a problem. no apology and kind of irritated she tells me a quote but needs to call honda to find out how much a part cost that only honda has (exactly what I explained the first time I called to see if they can get the part as I knew it needed to be ordered per the first mechanic I saw). I told her what I was quoted by the first guy I spoke with and she said that quote was for the front suspension. Oh my!!! never again!! good news is I got a tire rotation and inspection. Hopefully? I should have read the yelp reviews before I took my car to them. What happened to this place. I haven't been there for 7 plus years but remember having a great experience. I'm not confident in someone fixing my car when they can't find the problem after I told them exactly what the problem was. Can't make this ship up! A fluke blow-out forced us into the shop on Dillingham...it's a convenient store of us. Unfortunately, they did not have the tire/size for our Honda Odyssey. But there were some in stock in Aiea (across from Pearlridge). Time was not on our side - they were closing in 15 minutes. A call to the store placed us into the capable hands of Ashley! She verified the stock, then told us she would pull the tire and have it ready to change out when we got there before closing time of 5:00. We jammed down there, arriving at 4:59. He had Service Writer Ashley get back to me about my issue with my oil change coupon (below). When she called me back the first thing she said to me was , "I didn't tell her I wanted to flush my fuel system". I told her I didn't say that in my previous Yelp review to Business Manager Lee S. I told her , I said I didn't receive my free bottle of RENU fuel tank additive that was supposed to be included in my $25 off oil change coupon! She then said I didn't say I wanted that free bottle of fuel tank additive. I told her the coupon says that free bottle "is supposed to be included" , "why do I have to ask for it" !? I've been going to firestone for years. In general, I have no complaints. I got my tires there, so I also do my safety check, oil changes, etc there. I wouldn't have ever rated them 5 stars, but they got the job done. My recent experience has prompted me to write this 1 star review (Something I only do when it was just BAD). My car's tire light tends to go on a lot, so I always just fill it up, and the light goes off. When my light went on this time, I made an appointment and asked them to do an alignment (I paid for the lifetime service), rotation, and check the tire light. **** Please note that Google told my husband told me that my sensor batteries were likely dead and needed to be replaced. My car was returned without an alignment, and I was told something something something (see picture). I was told it would cost $1800 to fix (the paper said $3200). Not something most people have sitting around. But I was also VERY suspicious, so I called my mechanic friend. He said they were trying to take me because I'm a girl. I then took my car to a second mechanic. He went through the "recommendation" list, he checked piece by piece. He said I have normal wear and tear, and he wouldn't recommend anything on that list. He said POSSIBLY in a year, he would recommend my struts changed. He spent 10 minutes telling me how angry he was at Firestone (and other mechanics) for trying to take unknowing drivers. He also did a system check on my tires. Two of my sensor batteries were dead and needed to be replaced. Would NOT recommend getting your tires or safety check here. The customer service is slow because they are short handed and management overworks their employees. I attempted to do my safety inspection and purchased tires from Firestone in Aiea. Didn't realize my safety check expired, so I needed it to renew my Registration to complete my safety inspection . So they fail my safety and gave 30 days, I totally understand and had no problem with this. As for my tires, I purchased my two front tires, assuming they would help provide my back tires, but I was told they didn't have my back tires in stock, so they checked the warehouse while I was there. The clerk said he found my two tires and he'd call me when it came in to their shop. The following week, I got a message from Firestone Aiea, saying they only have one tire and can't order the other one. The next day, I got my registration, called Firestone to make an appointment to come back in to update my safety inspection and check on my tire situation. After being on hold for 1/2 and hours. I was asked to hold again for another 10mins. Finally, my call was answered I asked to speak to the manager, Robert Miyata, who I explained being on hold over an 1/2 hour, he said sometimes it an hour or more. Suggesting this is normal since they are short handed. Then, I asked about my ties and ask why my tires couldn't be ordered? I bought the two front tires from them, trusting I could get the same brand tires. At this point, I could tell by the Manager's Robert Miyata tone, he wasn't interested in helping me, he said we can't place the order it will take months or years to come in. Then, I asked to bring my car in to complete my safety inspection. The Manager scheduled my appointment, not mentioning anything about my appointment date being after the 30 days. As a customer, I trusted he would have my best interest in mind. When I showed for my appointment, the clerk said, sorry you passed your 30 days, you have to pay again. I was puzzled since I know the Manager Robert Miyata, scheduled my appointment. So I asked to speak with him, he declined my request to wave the fee even if it was him who scheduled my appointment without notifying me I would be in default of the 30 days. I felt like he deliberately scheduled me past 30 days to make me pay another fee. It was 3 days passed, I later figured out. He refused my request to wave the fee, then, I was just going to pay the extra fee, but he refused my business altogether.Telling me "I have the right to refuse business." Wow, this was definitely abused of power. I did nothing wrong, but asking to be treated fairly, with this situation. In the end, I had the inspection and back tires done elsewhere. read more

I used to regularly go to Firestone for alignments and to purchase Firehawk Indy 500 tires, for tracking my vehicle; the entire staff of this location has skewed my vision of this corporation. I brought my wife's Freestyle to this location while I was on a business trip to repair her power steering pump. Two hours into their work, I receive a call from the (completely amateur) technician that they broke one of the studs, which are torqued to ~20ft/lbs into the engine head, and expected me to pick up my vehicle which they broke to take to an engine specialist. I spoke with the store manager, who completely blew it off as if it wasn't their problem that their hire screwed me. I eventually filed a claim via corporate, who likely didn't do anything about it other than give a slap to the hands, if that. Once I returned home, I fixed the pump in three hours. All studs, to include the "seized" one required no more than 10 ft/lbs of torque. Since I needed a new stud which was no longer manufactured, I inquired about one to the store manager, and I was told to fuck off in laymen's terms. TL;DR, the store manager is a clown who couldn't give a damn about his customers, and hires morons off of the streets to break people's cars. Do not go to Firestone, just do your own maintenance to save yourselves from headaches and thousands of dollars. read more

Three of my family members took their vehicles here. All three had issues with this place. My husband spent thousands of dollars to get his truck fixed only to drive it down the road and have it break down. When he questioned them he received horrible customer service and no clear answer as to why they charged him so much to change things that didn't need to be changed and didn't fix the problem. My breaks were squeaking, took it in and they said they don't know why, maybe due to rain. My neighbor took a look and fixed it in 20 minutes. Firestone probably didn't even look at my vehicle and definitely didn't care about fixing the problem. I will never take my car there again and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I was initially reluctant to take it to a dealer or tire store because I was sure they would try to upsell me into new tires. After unsuccessfully trying to find a repair shop that would even answer their phone, I gave up and made an appointment at Firestone. The store was clean, and the advisor was polite and very helpful. I had quite a few questions about tire maintenance on my electric vehicle. I feel like I got very reasonable answers. They really exceeded my expectations. I had a small finishing nail stuck in the tire which was causing the problem. They repaired the tire at a very reasonable price. There was no attempt to sell me new tires but when I need them, I will definitely return here. I've also decided that this will be my new place for all of my maintenance and repair needs. read more

This is a place that needs to be brought up the corporate office. Rude staff does not equal to great customer service. Good business does not mean you get to book an appointment and you'll admitted late and start your work order late. I have been to many firestone locations most provide great service and only few give bad. This location is one of them. From what I saw, they double book customers, that is no way a great business because when both shows up at same time, guess what, one must wait longer. They care about the money not so much the quality service and great customer service others can provide. I can do my own maintenance but due to time restrictions, I decided to have two vehicles serviced here as it is located very close to my home. I called to ensure they had the tires I was looking for in stock (as the dealership did not have any in stock) and could service my other vehicle as well. Rob was extremely helpful and got both of my cars in and serviced very quickly (even without an appointment). One thing that I feel can be improved is that the employees must be under a lot of pressure to upsell when they service cars. For both of my cars, we received a call stating they had found things during the courtesy inspection. For one of my cars, it has been driven less than 14,000 miles and is only 1.5 years old, yet they told me that my battery was testing at 400 CCAs out of the rated 500 CCAs and needed to be replaced. Since I had an appointment at the dealership for the state inspection the next day, I declined and had it tested by the dealership. The dealership tested the battery at 519 CCAs out of the rated 500 CCAs. My hand-held battery tester tested the battery at 538 CCAs. When I looked at the Firestone invoice, I see that they tested the 500 CCA battery as a 645 CCA battery and it measured 508 CCAs. For the second car, they said the air filter was dirty and needed to be changed and could do it for 30.00 (a decent price for them to do it) but I knew the air filter had been replaced about a year ago. Again, I declined the replacement and checked my air filter when I picked up the car, it was a little dirty but nowhere close to needing to be changed, I vacuumed it with my shop vac and it is perfectly clean and looks brand new. read more
