This place has the worst customer service. They are not sympathetic to customer needs and will tell you to come at 1:00pm for safety check and when you show up at 12:50pm and you are third in line then try tell you they are already filled for the day. There is no one behind us and this is the third time we've tried to get safety check here. We have been loyal customers for years doing maintenance on our cars. They are not very happy even when I get my oil change, but I've just let it go and tried to understand. This was the final straw. I came here on a Monday for oil change. I waited for 10 minutes and was able to drive in and get the work done. Customer service is top notch and they were extremely helpful in changing my coolant as well. I did get a small discount too which helped a lot! The value is pretty good! Change of time... Not my first time at a Oil Changers but a few months ago I've been trying to find a place to get my safety check as I didn't realized it was expired...yikes! Went to one location...3hrs wait...then to this location "not accepting safety check"...gah! Frustrated and gave up only to be lucky to find a place. Now I'm in need for an oil change and decided to give them a try as I was in a time constraint again lol...I'm like a at the moment kinda person so if today is the day that's what I do and when I got here there was no one there...ahhhhmazing!...though there still was that darn is for no Safety lol!! Super stoked to get it done, I immediately did my Yelp check-in and yasss they still had the $10 off full service which sounds like a great deal but was taken back how much it was, I did pay for the convenience though I've seen days the lines snaking though the lot is insane I just need to get my appointment in order though this place is very friendly and helpful just be careful of some items they try to sell you to change. During this time I spoke to 2-3 workers who all looked over my STOCK car. Finally when it was my turn the worker said "sorry we can't inspect this". So I asked why...he said "you need your stock headlights". So I told him these are the stock lights. He said no and said to leave... Not sure how I can acquire different stock headlights for my car when this same location has done my safety for the same car for the past 3-4 years since I've had the car... Waste of time. This busy momma of 3 had been "riding dirty" with an expired safety for... err- a while. Please, don't judge! With three children, 5 years old and under, making time to brave the safety inspection with unknown wait time was a task nothing short of daunting... But it could no longer wait! DO NOT COME HERE FOR SAFETY CHECK BECAUSE THE INSPECTORS WILL TURN YOU AWAY!!!! I've been trying to get a safety check done for the past 2 weeks and both times I have been turned away. In the past I have been able to drop off my car and come back when the inspection is done. I don't care about how long it took or even it was the last car they inspected because I know they're busy I understand that. All the mattered was as long as it got done. I didn't get my safety check done here last year because they turned me away @11am saying they were done of the day. Giving them the benefit of the doubt I went again this year. HOWEVER they turned me away twice. Last week, I was told they're closed for lunch and would reopen at 1 pm. Being that it was 10 mins to 1pm I asked if I could just leave the car and keys with them as I still had some errands to run in the shopping center they're located in. They said no. No big deal , I went to the bank real quick then came back at 1 pm. When I got back they told me they were done for the day and that white 4runner was the last on of the day. Mind you the 4Runner was the exact same car that was there when I first stopped in. To save my time they should have told me when I first went up to them that they were done for the day. This week we went in again, to get a safety check done. My husband went to check in. They just told him no and turned him away. No explanations, no "come back at this time", nothing. Some communication would be nice. Extremely disappointed in a place I spoke so highly about in the years past. Safe to say we will not be going back. We needed a last minute safety check and everywhere I called only allowed me to schedule for a check several days in advance. The great thing about Oil Changers is that they do their safety checks on a first come, first serve. They set a line outside their bay doors where you can wait in your car. The workers are very nice and considerate. We went at a a busy hour and waited about an hour. By the time it was our turn, it took less than 20 minutes. I would have given five stars but, because of the new guy Brandon? He and some other guy was working on my car!! I was told by Brandon to start my car so I did as asked all of a sudden two guys were yelling turn the engine off!!! I heard one of the guys say I just drained everything! No oil was put in!!! Brandon just smiled and started to put the oil in. The other guy was so nice he asked where I had did my oil change last because they did not replace four bolts!! So he replaced them for me!! The other guy Ben came by and assisted!! They helped me reset the oil change reminder! I understand that Brandon is new but he should not be making that kind of mistakes could have damaged my car!! This was our "go to" spot for safety checks until they implemented the "stay in your car" while they do the inspection. Saying she had to check one of my gauges, the tech opened up the glove compartment and while she didn't break it, it's wonky when I have to close it now. First time someone opened up the glove compartment to check the gauge under the hood. Unless I couldn't see it before because we never stayed in our car during inspection. read more

Happen to be off on Tuesday; but if you come after 9:30 am, there is no chance to get a safety check because they put up a sign saying come next time. Recommend that if you need a safety check come at 6:30 am to wait in line in your car till they open at 7:00 am. They were fast friendly and efficient and I was able to go right in without any wait. Before I begin, this is my wife's profile. I (her husband) am writing this review. I just want to share that I had the absolute best car service experience EVER here. Stopped in yesterday right before noon with my blue Nissan Frontier truck for an oil change. The silver-haired gentleman who welcomed me (I'm SO sad that I didn't pick his name up), and who ultimately service my truck, was a host/technician/advisor who was extremely pleasant, patient, knowledgeable, and thorough. He provided me with a "Things to Consider" data sheet on what to look out during the next few months, then shared with me his own personal experiences with Nissan trucks, as he fielded questions with trucks in general. Couldn't have been a more accommodating and professional representative of the company. I hope that this fellow gets a big raise and a promotion in the near future. I also want to add that I noticed the younger technicians were well-mannered, always on-task, excellent communicators, and demonstrated pride both in their work and in their presentation. I work for the DOE, so I'm on the lookout for these traits. If I could give a seven-star rating, I would. Great job, Oil Changers! Had to get an overdue safety inspection "yesterday." Someone recommended Oil Changers so I called and the lady who answered (Des?) was very nice. She's said it may be a two hour wait and the inspector would have to go to lunch at 11. But she took the time to ask the safety inspector how long a wait, then told me to come immediately. Got there 15 minutes later and was third in line for the inspection. Just under an hour later my car was being inspected! Ferdinand, the inspector was very nice when I explained I had an expired safety inspection and needed a conditional one to get my car registration renewed. He finished the inspection then explained where to park when I came back with the registration so he could finish the job and put the new safety inspection sticker on my license plate. They have an AC'd waiting area with snacks for purchase and when the work on your vehicle is done, Des the very nice cashier comes to get you. I recommend this location (Pearl City)! TIP: Enter the driveway on Puu Momi Street, as if you were going to the 76 gas station there. Then get in line along the curb running parallel with Kam Hwy. If you enter from Kam Hwy you'll need to drive around the building to get in line. read more

Variable service. First time in Pearl City, they were super busy and closing for lunch but squeezed me in for a safety inspection. I was so impressed that when I shipped my second car from the mainland i went back. But they were not doing any safety checks so had to go to another in Kapolai. There the gentleman that helped us was gruff and told us we needed to get our old license off before he would install the new Hawaii plates. This shop is not Aloha. We are a military family living on island trying our best to support businesses to the locals. During a simple oil change visit the oil filter was so loose the new shop we visited said they could swivel it with their hand. Also this oil changers place used a torque bolt on the bottom which isn't standard. I always used to go to flagship in Aiea but they don't have a safety check person currently so they recommended that I come here. First I called to check whether the safety person was in and I was told at 1156 that he'd be on lunch at 12-130 so I went at 130 and then was told he'd be on lunch until 145 so I had to back out and go someplace else because I couldn't be checked in 15 min early. Fair enough. I came back at 145. Checked in and was told it would be an hour wait. The waiting room was closed due to covid and there is absolutely nowhere to sit and wait. Good thing there is longs and daiso nearby or else we'd just be standing in the sun waiting. I understand the need to close the area due to covid but it would be nice to put out a few chairs for your customers especially in a place where your average wait time per customer is upwards of an hour. read more

Safety Check takes 1 hour and no one is attending the needs of the cars line up waiting. I know the workers know that there's a long line by the gas station because they glance at the line. It seems they don't care. I've been in the line for almost 2 hours and only 2 cars are being help? It's very disappointing. Don't come to this location. read more

We went here because in the past we have had good experiences with this company. This specific location we were not impressed. They didn't have any filters to replace our air filter, but it's part of the entire oil change price, so we got charged for it anyways. They didn't offer for us to return or anything, they simply said "you can get the air filter changed next time you need your oil changed." Secondly, the first mechanic mentioned that we should get our transmission fluid changed. When my husband asked what color our fluid was, the second mechanic indicated we didn't need it changed yet. The first mechanic gave the second one a frustrated look as if to say "I'm trying to make a sale". I understand upselling, and everyone has a job to do. In general though, we didn't leave feeling like they gave us the service we paid for and don't feel like we trust this location enough to return. Luckily my husband was there, and he knows quite a bit about cars. I'm not as well-informed and would've spent the money getting the transmission fluid changed when the car didn't need it, and we can't really afford it at this point. In the future, we will go to the Kapolei locations, as we have always had a positive experience there. UPDATE: we went to the Kapolei location, and they were very helpful and much better. They let us know that the previous mechanics had charted in the system that our rear main seal was leaking (which would require huge $$ to replace) but never told us! The mechanics in Kapolei looked at our car and said they were wrong, our main seal was fine. There was a different very minor issue they told us to keep an eye on, but other than that - our car was fine. We will NOT be returning to the Pearl City location again. read more
