Mochi donuts are honestly one of my favorite things to pair with a drink, and these definitely didn't disappoint. For drinks, we ordered the chizu pink peregrine tea, which was so good. I've been to this place few years till now, but the quality went bad over time. I order Okumidori Matcha with Chizu Cream add on, and all I taste are just water and sugar, no matcha flavor or chizu cream at all. Love the store's decoration--it has a pink, flowery, and very girly theme that's super cute and inviting. However, the service can be hit or miss depending on who's working. On one visit, I went with some friends and family, and they told my parents they couldn't sit inside because they hadn't ordered anything, even though our group as a whole had purchased 6-7 items. To make it worse, the store was completely empty at the time, which was disappointing. Ordering is self-serve through their kiosk, and they have a good variety of drinks. Across my many visits, the drinks have been consistently well-made, which I appreciate. That said, they don't offer many customization options for most drinks. Love their Chizu mango green tea. It's delicious, but unfortunately, it's a seasonal item. When it's not available, I usually go for the basic wintermelon milk tea. Additionally, obsessed with the mochi donuts! I didn't really get a hint of green tea flavor much so if you're a tea lover you may be disappointed as I'd say this leans more towards a freshly blended fruit drink/juice with cream on top. No other interaction with the servers other than them calling out that the drink was done for us to pick them up at the front counter. Ambiance 4.5/5 Bober Tea really does not mess around with their interior design. Pink, rosy theme with decor and furniture all working cohesively to create a cute, flowery, fairy-like aesthetic. Atmosphere is casual, lots of tables and seats to sit and relax (though geared towards pairs as it's arranged 2 seats per table). Also has a long bench and a swing along the glass storefront counter. Overall I think Bober is best for their brown sugar boba and since all their drinks tend toward the pricier side in general, I personally would probably go here for just that specialty when I'm feeling like really treating myself. And for their mochi donuts! I think it's a nice place to catch up one on one with someone too (if not crowded), just because of the pleasant ambiance and aesthetic. read more

Bober is one of those places I have enjoyed going to for the last two years to get boba. However that has changed lately. The quality of drinks are quite good and the walls are IG worthy, and if you are looking for very little human interaction with the staff it is a fine place to go. However, their base price for a drink and the cost of add-ons has gotten exorbitant. Some of those costs make sense, but if you prefer a drink with less ice there is even an upcharge for that. You aren't likely to get out of there for less than $10 for a drink. Other places are doing great quality drinks for 75% the cost of Bober and with the lack of customer service, the other places are more worth the time and money. read more

It's unfortunate for me to rate this business with 1 star rating but considering I had to wait 30 minutes (not an exaggeration here) to receive my 3 drinks was very frustrating! When I finally got my order, while I did get an apology for the wait, I don't think they recognized that I actually waited 30 minutes for my drinks. The apology lacked sincerity. A comp drink or a donut could have been a great gesture of sincerity. Additionally, for one of my drinks I ordered 2 toppings--boba and egg custard. Sadly, they didn't put the egg custard in my drink and when I went back in to mention it to them, they said it may have been diluted in the drink itself. I don't know what kind of egg custard they serve here but from all the times I've ordered drinks with egg custard, it has never "diluted" in the drink itself. Lastly, my third drink (Oreo brown sugar one) tasted like there was some sort of cleaning solution in it. Sadly, that had to go in the trash! read more

It was really busy on July 4th and there was only one girl working at the front making all the drinks, serving the donuts, and cashiering/processing orders. I can always compliment on the drinks (I did like the mango more than the pear because the pear drink tasted more artificial), but wanted to give a shout-out to the employee!! Thankful for how calm you remained even though it could have been very stressful with so many customers! I can appreciate the beautiful interior with their flower wall and swings for customers, but y'all this is not boba. It's more like a Starbucks-ified dessert drinks space. I had their pandan mung bean boba which had zero mung bean flavor. The pandan flavor was pretty light, and it was the beautiful light green color that told me what was in it, otherwise I couldn't tell you what was in it. Their boba has got a slight chew to it but not the right consistency of chew to tenderness, a little harder than I prefer. The boba portions is also 10% to the tea part of 90%, which I would also appreciate maybe 25% of boba. I like the extra effort of putting a lei flower, but I am not a fan of whipped cream in my boba drink. Perhaps have an option to click no whipped cream for online orders? This is the part that felt Starbucks-y to me, no thank you. There was one sweet gal working the counter at the front, and she was handling all of the orders on her own (that I saw). Shoutout to you gal, management might benefit from hiring more people during early dinnertime so the poor workers aren't swamped. If you're looking for boba, go with Ding Tea farther south on 99. This is definitely not authentic boba or bubble tea, but I can appreciate their $1 mochi donut deal on Tuesdays ALL DAY. There's contact-less ordering and they have lots of seats indoors (none outdoors) if you're looking to sit and enjoy your drink.
