You get what you paid for... Bottom line, if you are looking for a meal between $6-$8, skip this place and go to Moe's next door, Jimmy Johns, the Panda Express (closer to the mall), Buffalo Wild Wings, etc. also stay away if you have allergies, they won't separate your food or even make any attempt. I should have just gone to Chipolte. 1. Food- Food was not good at all. We wasted over half of it. We got the chicken, with noodles, cucumber salad, and vegetables. The chicken was chewy, tasted like a lower grade chicken. They must have left a lot of the fat on, and didn't taste very good. The noddles had nearly any vegetables in it (seemed like the guy who was putting the noodles on to my plate was going around any vegetables in the dish) while they were also really greasy. The cucumber salad was somewhat bland and cucumbers had huge seeds in them. The vegetables was mostly full of cabbage with one or two carrots. The sushi wasn't bad... But we just got the California role... It's hard to screw that up. 2. Service- as a first time customer, the one guy seemed a little rude and didn't seem to understand what I wanted. He grabbed two boxes when we just wanted one. He seemed short and not friendly. Guess they didn't need my business. I also asked him to cook the chicken separate from the shrimp due to a food allergy. Nope, he cooked it right next to shrimp from a pre-cooked batch. We stopped here for a quick bite after hockey practice. We both got the chicken hibachi meal. My two sides were noodles and fried rice. My husband got fried rice and veggies. It was just steamed cabbage. Carrots and broccoli. For a quicker meal it did take about 10 mins for the food to be cooked. It is not instant, not saying that is bad. They give you some yum sauce to go with your meal like the hibachi places. My husband ordered the spicy tuna rolls. He said they were average. And I ordered the chicken dumpling which were good. All in all pretty good we would go again for quick Asian food. They give large portions. Next time we will try steak or shrimp hibachi. read more

When I want good sushi that's not too terribly expensive, this is where I end up. I am never disappointed, everything tastes delicious, 90% of the time my food is out quickly (even when it's not I don't complain, sometimes they're super busy, they're trying their best, you go guys) and the employees are friendly. Ordering was a little confusing for me the first time but they were happy to help. Definitely recommend. read more

Food was very fresh and quickly prepared. The plastic ware needs a serious upgrade though. I could have gotten bigger bites with chopsticks.

Love this place however it's not uncommon for my order to be messed up if I call it in, today I ordered sushi and got the wrong sauce on it, asked them to fix it and they just put it on top of the wrong sauce. Also asked for green onions and sesame seeds and got neither. I prefer calling in my order because they aren't anywhere near as fast as chipotle obviously because they have to cook whatever protein is going on it but after having my order wrong more than once I'll probably hold off and wait until they hire some people who actually know how to make my pretty simple order of tofu and fried rice with a spicy crab roll. read more

This is my favorite place to go for a quick order of sushi to go, which I must add us absolutely delicious!!! The staff is always friendly and helpful. It is clean as well. The Spring Rolls are great too!!! I haven't tried anything else there yet cause it's my go to place only when I crave good sushi that is made fresh and is at a five minute drive from my home. It's OK. A good amount of food for a fair price. Fried rice is pretty good. It's not "quick" though. Expect to spend at least 15 minutes in there waiting for your food. The good news is that everything is pretty much cooked to order so it's fresh and hot when you finally get your food. read more

My son and I went here one evening while my wife went too a restaurant across the street. After we had ordered and they started to make our food my son asked me why do they keep looking at us like that? When I started to take notice multiple workers there were smirking like they knew something we didn't. We got our food and Sat down and started eating. My wife then joined us and without us prompting her she said why are they all staring at us. On a few occasions separate employees walked past to see if we were eating our food. I am almost certain they did a seething to our food and I will never go back again. It is a shame because I do like that style of food and it is convenient to where we live. I have never had a vibe like that before. I can assure you it was not them trying to have good customer service. Eww. Soggy rice. Frozen tasteless shrimp. "Vegetables" are all cabbage. Save your money. It's very clean though.

Absolutely worst place to eat from a food safety standpoint. I clearly specified my son and I had a shellfish allergy, the cook tried to sneak the chicken cooked next to the shrimp to serve us. Not only was there intentional cross contamination that could've killed us, I observed 3 of them behind the counter not wash their hands. Reported this terrible experience to the health department, who paid them a visit Monday morning, then called me to confirm they observed all my nightmare issues. For quick inexpensive Japanese food this is the place to go. It's a bit noisy inside as there is a echo due to the way the restaurant is built. The seating is hard and not a place to sit for a long time. Good food and I will definitely go again. read more

I really wanted to like this place as it's close to work and often times even "bad" Japanese/Chinese food is pretty dang tasty. However, when I walked in the menu was a little confusing. I get that my lack of understanding is my own fault to an extent, but when asked most employees couldn't answer and those who could just seemed irritated that I even asked. I had the two protein chicken and shrimp. It was good. I bought my mother the salmon and shrimp, it had enough or 4 pieces of shrimp. A little skimpy I think. I added their hibachi chicken roll. I've eaten here several times and although I think the food is pretty good (which made me come back). I must say that I am not happy with the fact that the lady at the cash register not ONLY takes money, debit cards and deals with the drinks but right after starts placing food on the customer's tray. Being that I work in healthcare it is disappointing to see unsanitary practices. When I asked her to wash her hands before handling my food, she proceeded to just put a glove on! I then had to repeat twice that I would appreciate it if she would wash her hands because she is still touching the clean gloves with dirty hands. After not really listening to what I was saying, I asked another gentleman to place my order on the trays. I spoke with the manager and explained the issue. He asked me did I want free food, which I declined and politely explained I paid for my food and I just want to know that the person handling dirty money and debit cards as well as a cash register is NOT handling my food. This was a really good version of fast-food hibachi. The hibachi near Wegmans has great food, but is a sit-down, pricey restaurant. Quickway is affordable, quite tasty, clean, and fast. I'm sure that the two chefs or the sushi chef would have been accommodating to any special requests. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 wasn't related to the food, but to the teenagers working there. I do realize, however, that fast food help can be hard to get and they may have been new employees. As far as not explaining how to order, it was my first time there and I just asked. The cashier seemed to think I should have known, but hey, that's the benefit of being in your 40's. You no longer care and ask anyway. I didn't quite understand the 3 sides and what was included. My son ordered all fried rice and got a huge portion. The cucumber/onion/jalapeno salad was great, as was the pasta salad and noodles. One star, because the folks working there were very nice. Soon as I got my food... I had all the info I needed... It did not smell good! The rice was greasy,... beyond any self respecting take out fried rice type greasy... And had no taste, the tofu tasted like sponge, the beef was tough. Eww, first time I can recall... I was really disappointed at this specific location. I am used to ordering at their Germantown location and never had an issue. I went to the Frederick location on my lunch break and at the register I asked for Shrimp Hibachi with Pasta. The girl told me I had 2 side choice options; I was surprised because usually when I order that's not what I am told. I say ok cool why don't you add in some tossed salad and bowtie pasta on the side. Then she hands me a cup for fountain drink... and I say "Why are you giving me this?" she says "you said drink right?", I said no, I never mentioned drink then I proceed to repeat my order specifying that instead of fried rice I would like my shrimp on the PASTA. Then I pay and proceed to wait for 10 minutes while the cooks do their magic. Then my number is called and I see a few shrimps on a tossed salad....needless to say I was pissed. I asked for my money back and one of the cooks asked the girl what I ordered and she proceeded to purse her lips; lift her shoulders as in "I don't care". At that stage I did not even want to hear about fixing my order I wanted out of there. Lesson learned this is the first and last time I am going to this Frederick location. I will stick to my Germantown customer friendly Quickway Japanese Hibachi family. read more
