Some of the best sandwiches in town! We ordered The Godfather, Golden Gate, and turkey cold cut sandwich and they were delicious. The bread wasn't too toasted, and they were generous with the cold cut to vegetable ratio. Cannot recommend enough. Staff were incredibly kind too. Love supporting a family run shop!!

First timer here and I thought it was pretty delicious. The quaint mom and pop sub shop is located in a small center behind the Chevron on the corner of Cactus and Ellsworth. When you enter the establishment it's like you're going back in time with all the Marilyn Monroe and James Dean pictures. Definitely not what you would expect the decor to be when entering a sandwich shop but it works. I was brought here by a few of my co-workers who swore by this place and said it's the bread that really compliments the sandwich and boy were they right. I ordered the Godfather, because how could I not. It's the most popular sandwich and they advertise it on the outside of their establishment. I was last order and I went with the 9" sandwich, chips and a cookie. The total was about $20. I guess seemed about right. I wouldn't know because I was not given a receipt or the option to leave a tip. So ok, I stood there taking in the ambiance hoping I would know when my order would be ready. The lady came out naming the sandwiches so each of us just went with the one we ordered. Thankfully non of us ordered the same sandwich. I really wish I would have had the option to receive a receipt though. Once we got back to the office, my co-workers were a bit disappointed because they opened up their sandwich and it was not the same bread that they expected and raved about. Like I said earlier they went for the sandwich bread. There was maybe 2 of us that got the bread that they oh so loved. I will attest to this and say the bread definitely made the sandwich. It's like the perfect amount of bread to meat ratio. The perfect crunch and softness all in one. I will be returning and possibly trying a different sandwich, not because it was bad but I like options.

Went back and tried the godfather 6" sandwich. It's amazing and has a lot of flavor. Served to me warm. I walked in after work (5:40 PM) and maybe waited less than 10 minutes for my sandwich to be handed to me. I spent $14.09 for the sandwich combo. Definitely will be returning to fulfill my sandwich cravings!

If you ask me whether I want a soup or sandwich, I will most likely pick a sandwich. I have always loved sandwiches and can make some good ones but, if I don't feel like making one on my own, I love coming to Quik Stop Subs. Quik Stop Subs is a small "mom and pop" shop that offers a selection of hot and cold subs, salads, soup, and pasta. My go to here is The Godfather, from their Specialty Subs menu. THE GODFATHER is generously packed with ham, capicolla, salami, roast beef, turkey, and provolone cheese. I ask for "everything" in it (i.e., lettuce, tomato, red onion, pepperoncini, Italian dressing, mayo and mustard) and it's served in a delicious, slightly toasted bread. I LOVE their bread here! It has that crusty and crispy exterior, with a chewy yet fluffy center. One bite in and I'm already hooked! I've also tried THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE (ham, capicolla, salami, and provolone cheese) and it was good but not as great as The Godfather IMO. By the way, their POTATO SALAD is phenomenal!! It was so good and easily one of the top 3 potato salads I've ever had. It is unique yet comforting at the same time. It's creamy and highly addicting. I can't even replicate it if I could. You have to try it for yourself. The customer service is fantastic and it really shines. The sweet lady is always so friendly and cheerful. I can tell she really values her customers. Although it's a small shop, they actually have about half a dozen tables inside and a few unshaded patio tables outside. Inside the shop, there's a wall full of Marilyn Monroe posters, as well as James Dean. To the side, you'll even spot a Marilyn cut-out. Being so close to the March ARB, they have a wall honoring and supporting military and veterans. I love that! There's plenty of parking right in front of the shop but the lot is shared with the neighboring businesses. As mentioned earlier, they are located just north of the March ARB on Cactus and Elsworth in Moreno Valley. They are behind the Carl's Jr. in what looks like a run-down business plaza. Overall, I am a fan of Quik Stop Subs. It's a simple and welcoming shop with friendly employees and loyal customers, with a selection of fantastic subs and homemade potato salad. I highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the area. Be sure to check their business hours to make sure they're open. I hope you give Quik Stop Subs a try and that you find this shop to be a gem, too!

Got a godfather chips and a coke. The people were nice, the sandwich was ok, but not great. The bread...something about the bread that I didnt like, and it got me thinking about D'elia's in Riverside....and how their bread is so much better. if someone suggested coming here i the future, I guess it would be ok, but i wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE ! I always get the #1 with NO tomatoes or pepperonis .Its my favorite sub sandwich & it's delicious! Everything is just right & the bread is always soft and warm . It is amazing how hard it can be to find a good sandwich, well I just found one. I got lucky and came across this sub shop by accident, I ordered the Godfather.....delicious. The customer service was great, the woman that helped me was very nice and upbeat and my order was made quickly. Best part is the second half of my sandwich was even better the next day! The bread holds up great and makes me want to try their beef dip the next time, and there will be a next time for sure!! read more

I came here for the first time about 8 months ago for the first time with the guys from work. I was a little sceptical at first because it really doesn't look like much from the outside. It's located in a little strip mall across from March Air Field on Cactus Ave. and traffic is really heavy. I had heard a lot about it and was craving a good meatball sandwich so I figured I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed AT ALL! As soon as I walked in, the smell reminded me of my favorite sub shop growing up in Escondido. The meatball sandwich was a hit right away and the bread is sooo good. Since then, I've also enjoyed the California Beef Dip which has roast beef, Ortega chilis and swiss cheese with au jus and their signature sandwich "the Godfather." If you're looking for a true Italian sub, the Godfather is what you want. All the meats are fresh and stacked high and the bread is toasted perfectly. I brought my wife here a couple weeks ago and she can't wait to come back. They are very American and military friendly. Thanks Quik Stop Subs! Keep up the great work. Today I tried this place for the first time. It was absolutely amazing, hands down the best sandwich spot!!!!! I had The Godfather,,, the bread was gently toasted absolutely perfectly, everything was proportioned perfectly!! I will definitely be back and totally recommend this place. The Godfather really is a sandwich that you can't refuse. This is a family run business and they are always welcoming and friendly. Lunch is by far their busiest time but they prepare everything quickly so you still have time to enjoy it. read more

My boyfriend and I had a #2 sandwich and an antipasto salad yesterday and it was so good! I'm picky about my bread and their sub sandwich bread tastes super fresh and soft. jersey Mikes used to be my favorite sub spot . This place knocked them in to second . Quik is wearing the crown now , they got the chip ! Bread is great ! I have only had the tuna and turkey sandwich , both were amazing . You know you can't eat everybody's tuna fish , too. They are priced very well . read more

Meh. Tried this place because I've heard good things from the people I work with. So I gave it a shot. Not great. I had a very mediocre chicken salad. The only thing I can say is that the service was fast. For what I got it was very overpriced and disappointing. Maybe the sandwiches are better? I won't find out because I'm never coming back. I would have been better off getting a salad from a fast food place. read more

One of my favorite sandwich shops in the area. Sandwiches are made to order while you wait and the bread is great! This is a small storefront business, but there is seating for maybe 20 people or so. It is nicely decorated with framed military uniform patches in reverence of the nearby March Air Reserve Base. It also is decorated with reproduction prints and photos of 50's era movie stars like James Dean and Marilyn Monroe. The soup is also made on site and it is really good! They only make a limited amount, so get there early if you want soup or it's "no soup for you!" They also sell chips, pasta salad, and some other dishes, but the primary draw is the great sub sandwiches. You can order them hot or cold. Give it a try, I think you'll enjoy this place too! read more

This place was absolutely delicious! My husband and I always look for small businesses to support since the pandemic hit. This place did not disappoint! I got a number 1 and my husband got a number 2, we were surprised at how big the sandwiches were. We both got combos with macaroni salad, this was also delicious. Went in today after driving by and not noticing it there behind Carls Jr. for 6 months.I was a dollar short and they still made me a delicious roast beef sandwich on tasty bread.Wwway better than Subway.Nice girls working there. Clean tables.Fresh tasting food. I'll be back this week. read more

We stopped by yesterday and picked up the Brooklyn Bridge (Ham, Capicolla, Salami, and Provolone), Yankee Clipper (turkey, bacon, and Swiss) and the godfather (ham, Capicolla, salami, roast beef, turkey, and provolone, and the antipasto salad. Everything was fresh. There was a little too much bread, but it wasn't off by much as far as lack of toppings. The crew that works here are so sweet. We talked to them for a few minutes and they truly care about their customers. That really shows the quality of this business. read more

Very good subs! They use great tasting fresh bread. Avoid the lunch rush though (12:00 - 1:00), it gets insane! This shop is right across the street from March ARB, so it has a constant supply of hungry airmen to feed. read more

I would prefer coming here rather than Jersey Mike's or Subway hands down. Bread is toasted with some subs, and is perfectly moist and fresh. Most subs come with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, pickled (mild) Pepercinni, and homemade Italian Dressing (which is just an amazing addition to the sandwich and makes it perfect) with mayo and mustard on request (which is perfect for people on a diet) ... They offer the "Daily Special" which is a combination special with a choice of 1 side and a large fountain drink... Potato salad, macaroni salad and wide variety of chips to choose from are offered as the sides, and both the potato salad and Mac salad are homemade and sooo delicious. Quality food for the perfect price! I cannot urge enough how fresh and delicious this food is. Whenever I crave subs, I make the 20 minute drive past Jersey Mike's to come here!! read more

Soooo Good!! I tried it today for the first time and will definitley be back! I got the 6 inch veggie sandwich and it is absolutley bomb!!! Crisp veggies, perfect amount of dressing and the taste is expectional!!! My bf got the Godfather and was pleased as well!!! As other reviews stated the potato salad is good too!! read more

That bread tho lol. Jersey mikes pffff...naht! Subwhat? Not even close...this place is the one, im a sandwich guy and these people know how to make a sandwich. shoot they even stack em neatly good simple flavorful sandwiches...i found my new spot. Bring cash if ur buying less than 10 bucks worth of sandwich as thats the minimum purchase amount with a card. On June 20th, 2026, Substation has closed its doors after a fantastic run! Service- owner was always so personable and remembered a face! The staff was united because he build a community and special outings for employees. The memories were always posted on the wall. Ambiance- the owner and family made the seating and tables I recall. Very simple with patio seating available. Amazing job! You will be sorely missed.

I get why they're popular. Based on the first time I decided to try the curly fries to see if it would be a better outcome. It was, fortunately, and I think this is what I'll get henceforth, or onion rings, which are still untried. Anyhow, the girl at the window forgot to give me the drink and I'm still wondering how my bill reached $22, but I'll ask specifically next for the receipt and breakdown.
