    Salted bourbon caramel latte

On the corner of Frankfort Ave, Quills offers an opportunity to pop in and go as well as linger. We easily found street parking and were greeted right away. Quills has seasonal offerings as well as their standards. I have a hard time passing up their iced latte with salted bourbon caramel syrup. They also have lavender which is another favorite. Pastries are hit and miss for me. Today we added a cranberry scone but it was more cinnamon swirl and missed the mark. Lots of seating! One section bright and plenty of natural light. Another section with a warmer shade of green and couches in the window. This area seemed more popular for those staying a bit to work/study. Their patio is large and has a nice backdrop of the neighborhood. Happy to enjoy our coffee here this morning.

Love this little spot. I popped in between meetings and had a great experience. Barista's were knowledgeable and very prompt. Had an iced mocha that was very well balanced and delicious! Didn't try any pastries but they do have ample options. If you're in the area and looking for a spot to plug in or sit and check out, this is it!

Great location! I can't remember is this is where Mirin used to be located. They've completely renovated the space. A good number of seating inside, but we sat outside. It accommodates better for larger groups especially if the weather is nice. I ordered the salted maple iced latte upon recommendation from the barista, while my friends got cold brew and a chai drink that had some other flavors in it. My drink was a bit too sweet for me! But the flavors were good, especially the salt. Nice touch. The baristas were nice! It was quiet in there, people were working on their laptops. Two bathrooms at the back. Clean! One of them didn't lock. Two entrances, front and back. They do have parking at the back. Around 3:30 it wasn't all that busy. A couple parking spots left but finding parallel is easy. Can't wait to come back! Prob my favorite location now.

The new quills location is quaint. This spot has been renovated by quills. The modern interior is inviting for folks to work, meet and have a cup of coffee. You go in and order by the bakery case. The menu is there as well. They have specialty drinks listed as well. You order and they make the drink in front of you. They have options for mugs if you are staying in the location for your drink. I got the churro latte, a seasonal item. It was beautiful. It had a Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor to it in liquid form. There is ample seating, and the tables are fitting if you are meeting a group, or just hanging out with your computer. It was actually quiet given the number of people working there the day I visited. It's a lovely neighborhood spot. I can't wait to visit again.

    Delicious pour over.

Great coffee! Quick service. Coffee was very nutty, not watered down. I got an iced latte and it tasted delicious!

And if you're lucky, you might get to meet their darling little ones--Lyly (age 6) and her baby sister, Anna. So much joy! Ntaba is one of the most soothing environments ever--bathed in natural light from floor to ceiling windows on 3 sides, the kind of space I search for in a coffee shop. It's as though they've sifted through the most delightful qualities of beloved coffee spots and whipped them into something magical. He walked my coffee back inside and requested they warm it, which they did, but I left curious how fresh it was. I'm glad to see this location of Ntaba continue. When I mention it to people, most are not aware of the business. It is quiet - other than driving by, I don't think I see much promotion of it. All the drinks sounded so tempting, it was hard to choose one. I settled on Demeter's Joy, which was a cold brew with peach syrup, splash of milk and mango-infused cold foam. The idea of this drink was incredible, but it lacked on execution. To be fair, the poor barista was in the weeds trying to take orders & make all of the complicated drinks. Someone came in to help out after about 10 minutes of us waiting, but it still took another 5 minutes or so for the drink to come out. I took one sip, and was highly disappointed. It tasted more like chemicals than it did coffee. My sense is the combo of syrups was too much for my palate -- I don't usually order sweet coffee but occasionally I get sucked in. For nearly $7 including tip, I wouldn't order this again. I would be willing to give this place another shot given the clear popularity and fun location. They have seats at the bar, but since it's expertly positioned at the entrance, you can grab your coffee and leisurely walk around the market.

I was so pleased to see that Safai was available for my after lunch coffee and that it is roasted on site! The barista (sorry that I cannot remember her name) was so very knowledgeable and helpful with finding suitable substitutions for my dietary needs. She created a delicious cold brew latte for my enjoyment. I tasted my husband's hot coffee concoction and it was delicious too. They also have a wonderful selection of teas for those who prefer tea to coffee. There are numerous places to sit within the market and non-metered parking is available on neighborhood streets.
