You aren't going to come here for quick coffee. But you can get good coffee. If you keep in mind that you may have a decent visit! It is true that they only do pour over, so things take a little while. But the coffee is decent and it is in a cool location. I had a card for a free coffee, so I treated myself to one of the specialties. The Black Magic, a blackberry and white chocolate beverage. I wanted to try something new and different, but it wasn't exactly too my tastes. My main complaint was that when I got there, it took more time to be acknowledged and have my order taken than it should have. There wasn't a line, there wasn't a long list of orders to be made, and still it seemed like the baristas were busy with ignoring customers at the register. I like that there is another coffee option in my neighborhood. I like that decent coffee can be found in Logan Street Market. Not my favorite coffee, and I like the OG location better. But it is decent.

After eating & walking around exploring everything at Logan Street Market, I decided to stop by here for a 'to go' drink. I'd skipped my typical at home coffee that morning and hours later was craving a coffee fix. I enjoyed seeing the photo and written display of Safai's mission of giving back and caring for land. A bonus reason to support this business. I ordered the smallest coffee but thoroughly enjoyed the flavors and creaminess and noted no bitter aftertaste, always a plus! I look forward to returning to try other drinks offered here!

Cute coffee shop inside the market with incredibly friendly staff! I loved all the seasonal flavored coffees they offer, including the eggnog that could be spiked with rum. I found the coffees to be affordable compared to some big chains, so that was the cherry on top. I tried the gingerbread latte and the chai tea latte while I was I Louisville. I think the chai tea was my favorite of the two. They also have 3 sugar free syrups for anyone that needs to watch their blood sugar. Give them a try!

I love this location of Safai Coffee! I have always enjoyed the Highlands location, so when this spot opened up in Logan Street Market in Shelby Park I was really excited (I live just a few houses up!) to have them so close. I visit this location often for weekend coffee. And it's always great! The staff are so friendly, and they've been helpful with my coffee choices. I don't drink actual coffee, as in black coffee. I drink what I lovingly refer to as "milkshake coffee." If there's milk, chocolate, and sugar in it I'll likely be a fan. So, the staff has described many of their offerings to me, and I have thoroughly enjoyed each one of them! I have also stopped at this spot for large coffee orders. Around a week ago I had to grab three coffees, a cold brew, a cappuccino, and a mocha for myself and I was in and out in around fifteen minutes! That's just awesome! If you're in the area and looking for some great local coffee, Safai is definitely the spot!

popped in Logan Street Market this afternoon and had a coffee at Safai. I ordered the blackberry latte and it was wonderful. Rich creamy and just the right temperature. The barista was sweet, friendly and efficient. The coffee shop is located inside the Logan Street Market, which is an open air, two story, one whole city block venue. There is plenty of seating throughout the venue. In addition to the Coffee shop there are multiple other vendors selling everything from cheeses, fresh fish, bars with cocktails, lunch options and crafty items. There is only on street parking but not hard to find today. And it's free, no meters. The seating areas throughout the venue are varied and fun, tables and chairs, couches, a few arcade games. Just an all around great venue on the outskirts of downtown Louisville. I know the review is more about Logan Street Market but hard to go have coffee and not talk about the whole atmosphere in which it is located. Safai coffee is also roasted inside the venue. So a pretty big operation. Give it a try.

Fun place with lots of food choices! There are sofas for sitting while drinking coffee, bars and shopping.

It wasn't open so we decided to venture further down the park for a better view of the city skyline and In doing so find a warm drink on a cold winters day we found it along with Widow's Brew Coffee and Ice Cream. First of all the building oozes welcoming charm in a three story home of another century with bold colors and gingerbread details. I was in for a hot brew on a chilly day. Jill the owner is a proud local entrepreneur who appears to love what she does. I took Jills welcoming recommendation to try the bourbon dark roast. Conti fresh roasted and iced coffee is her outsourced coffee supplier, as well as her baked goods from another local bakery. Both fresh and flavorful. There is a separate ice cream shop / trolley Next-door. I must say Jill is a friendly conversationalist. She explained her vision for her totally remodeled store with her own hip touch, she had succeeded! *Awesome unobstructed view of downtown Louisville from a front patio*! See pics. "Hello Thunder over Louisville"! Side notes; WiFi. Very clean gender neutral restroom. Street and lot parking. Limited unique indoor bar top seating. Large shaded front patio and porch seating. If your in Clarksville take a stroll by the river and remember to visit Widow's Brew.

I don't know how they managed that, but I love it! As soon as you walk through the door, you feel like you've stepped into a completely different place. The whole inside is decorated with creepy, haunted, witchy stuff--witch portraits, creepy dolls, weird lighting, themed chairs... honestly, there's something to look at everywhere you turn. And I love a place that commits to a theme! But obviously, none of that matters if the coffee isn't good. I got the toasted marshmallow cold brew, but I had them leave out the chocolate because I don't like chocolate in my coffee. It was SO good. It came with a huge toasted marshmallow on top, which looked really cool, although I will say it was a little awkward to actually drink with a whole marshmallow sitting on there . I think it would be even better if they scored it or cut it in half and toasted it a little more. And then I got the cheese danish... OH MY GOD. I honestly think this might be the best cheese danish I've ever had. It was seriously that good. The lady working the counter was super nice and recommended the cold brew, and she nailed it. It got pretty busy while we were there, but I totally understand why. This is the kind of place I could sit and hang out for a long time. Definitely check it out if you're in Louisville, especially if you like your coffee with a side of creepy.

We both ordered a pumpkin spice latte, mine didn't have much "pumpkin flavor" and to be honest I'm not sure if it was because I ordered the decaf or if it just simply wasn't a good flavor! It made me hesitant because the barista suggested something else after I ordered it, it was almost as if she knew I wouldn't like it?! Anyway, I politely declined and surely regretted not taking her suggestion, but sometimes you just have to be upfront and honest and say hey the flavor sucks let me make you this one instead. Aside from the awkward moment at the register, overall the cafe was cute and cozy but I don't think I'll be back for coffee :(
