Meatball sandwich is delicious, and the kids love the pizzadilla! Staff is always super friendly.

Okay. I hate that I have to leave this review... Timber Creek has always been a stand up place. But…read moremy recent experiences here have been awful. They just keep getting worse too! The girl I've encountered in this place has the worst attitude. She's stared at me (like stared me dead in the eyes for multiple minutes straight while I was ordering) and made me feel super uncomfortable. She's never acknowledged customers when I've been in there and saw her. Then she made me a sub today that I can only describe as scary. The lettuce was brown and the meat was slimy. I didn't even eat it. $15 out the window. The poor guy who was working with her was incredibly nice however was clearly not trained in the slightest. He didn't even know if they had mint ice cream. Let alone what was in it. He also didn't know how to use the cash register. And let's face it he was alone with Miss Personality and I would be scared to ask her a question too if I were in his shoes. Also the interior is beginning to look more and more like someone's garage sale. There's crap everywhere. The counter shouldn't be so cluttered with ratty dirty signs that you can't even pay your bill without have to step around the corner and almost put it in the register yourself. There was junk mail wedged in some of the signs too. Random pieces of paper advertising specials but could just be scraps of paper. I love the cabin decor but the grinch costume clearly being stored in the corner of the front window needs to go. As well as the two elf on the shelf toys that make reading the already cluttered menu difficult. The arcade games are a nice touch but shouldn't be right next to the register. There's so much going on in that corner and it makes it hard to order. I don't know what happened to this place. This was one of our favorite places especially in the summer. And was one of the reasons we moved here.

Timber Creek Pizza - The turkey sub I ordered. Very little lettuce and brown at that.

We were passing through the area with the grandkids so we scheduled a tour and lunch. Got there…read moreearly, so had an early lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches and soup or chips. My habanero grilled cheese and chips were very good, and everyone liked their sandwich and soups. Kids meal included ice cream, which was very good. We enjoyed the tour; especially the grandkids who loved seeing and petting the goats and cows. Nice clean bright facility with friendly service and family atmosphere.

We all got grilled cheese variations with apples, salad and soup as sides. The chicken bacon ranch grilled cheese was overall the best. Both of the salads had rotten leaves, so best to avoid that unless you're ok picking through for good leaves. Service 5/5: the food came quickly and the staff was very friendly. Ambiance 1/5: we were very disappointed overall since they hype themselves up as an experience that includes cows. There were no cows in sight. I know during the summertime they will have baby cows, but overall to me there should be more transparency around not actually seeing cows when you visit the creamery. Other than that there is a small parking lot that can get very busy at times, but plenty of places to sit. We did love the kids playground outside but all of the bikes were broken/didn't work and the bags put away for corn hole. Overall we were really disappointed at this trip. No cows and lunch was just ok. If you are looking for a spot just for ice cream, they have amazing options and plenty of room for the kids to play, just don't tell your kids there are cows because you likely won't see any.

They have a wide variety of Babcock ice creams to choose from for cones and dishes and there are unique flavors of shakes, floats, and sundaes. We ended up ordering the cold brew coffee float which features Let It Ride cold brew coffee and the hot honey mango shake. Both were quite tasty, but the shake was a standout. It's a flavor we haven't seen around Madison before and it's wonderfully balanced between the sweetness of the mango and the slight spicing of the hot honey to make a delightful shake. Staff was very friendly and we were able to try some samples of the ice creams to decide what we wanted. There is also a nice patio setup off of the bike path in the back. As it was opening day, they are still working out some kinks and working on some fun other options for the menu. We spoke to the owner and it sounds like there will be some vegan options coming in the very near future in some sorbets.
