Okay. I hate that I have to leave this review... Timber Creek has always been a stand up place. But…read moremy recent experiences here have been awful. They just keep getting worse too! The girl I've encountered in this place has the worst attitude. She's stared at me (like stared me dead in the eyes for multiple minutes straight while I was ordering) and made me feel super uncomfortable. She's never acknowledged customers when I've been in there and saw her. Then she made me a sub today that I can only describe as scary. The lettuce was brown and the meat was slimy. I didn't even eat it. $15 out the window. The poor guy who was working with her was incredibly nice however was clearly not trained in the slightest. He didn't even know if they had mint ice cream. Let alone what was in it. He also didn't know how to use the cash register. And let's face it he was alone with Miss Personality and I would be scared to ask her a question too if I were in his shoes. Also the interior is beginning to look more and more like someone's garage sale. There's crap everywhere. The counter shouldn't be so cluttered with ratty dirty signs that you can't even pay your bill without have to step around the corner and almost put it in the register yourself. There was junk mail wedged in some of the signs too. Random pieces of paper advertising specials but could just be scraps of paper. I love the cabin decor but the grinch costume clearly being stored in the corner of the front window needs to go. As well as the two elf on the shelf toys that make reading the already cluttered menu difficult. The arcade games are a nice touch but shouldn't be right next to the register. There's so much going on in that corner and it makes it hard to order. I don't know what happened to this place. This was one of our favorite places especially in the summer. And was one of the reasons we moved here.

Both meals were underwhelming. The cod didn't taste great, only 2 of 3 eaten. Very light batter. Not crispy. Flavor different in batter. The fried were completely soggy/oily. Coleslaw warm with not much flavor. The shrimp were nothing special. Flat shrimp you can buy in the freezer section. The cocktail sauce was very weird. Runny. We almost thought it as salad dressing or something. Tots were good. The cottage cheese was awful and we spit it out. Was like warm curdled yogurt. It was so bad. The highlight was the bun. Super soft. We ended up grabbing butter and jelly and enjoying that the most. Definitely missed the mark.

Inside the place was very inviting and the owner even offered me a taste of some chicken that he just cooked up on the grill. The bar keeper we super sweet and helpful. Tyranena Painted Ladies Pumpkin Spice Ale: Although I've become less of a beer guy since my college…read moredays, I like to try at least one new pumpkin beer each fall. Tyranena was founded in Lake Mills, WI by Rob Larson in 1999. Although that's within my lifetime, it was well before my beer drinking days. Painted Ladies Pumpkin Spice Ale (PLPSA) comes in at an above average 7.25% ABV with an IBU of 22. The bottle depicts multiple pumpkins painted with makeup to resemble women. The term "Painted Ladies" has a few different meanings. It was chosen for Lake Mill's "The Painted Ladies Fling" because the word is often used for Victorian and Edwardian buildings that are painted in ways that help to enhance their architectural details. The fling helps to highlight business and building owners who have embellished and enhanced their buildings throughout the year. Alternatively, it can be used as a synonym for prostitute, and that's why it was chosen for this ale as some of the more adventurous women in Lake Mills dress as painted ladies during the Fling event. PLPSA is an amber ale that pours an opaque copper color with surprisingly little head. There are notes of caramel and toffee, along with pumpkin pie spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and clove). I found this to be an easy beer to drink as the none of the flavors were overly pronounced (although this could also be a criticism for some). I would say it's a relatively average pumpkin beer, but that's high praise from someone who doesn't drink much beer. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews My favorite Pumpkin Beers: 1. Southern Tier Pumking Imperial Ale 2. Saint Arnold Pumpkinator Imperial Stout 3. New Belgium Pumpkick Ale 4. Cold Brew Coffee Pumking Nitro 5. Jack-O Traveler Pumpkin Shandy
