When ordering our foods, the kids asked what type of drinks they had since it was not listed on the menu. She said Coke but didn't elaborate that they had Coke products. They were extremely helpful with making sure it all went smoothly, which made me eager to try the restaurant for myself when I visited this year. Within minutes of stepping through their doors and taking a seat, I knew Brine was going to become one of my new favorites. The staff are all super attentive and really take the time to get to know their guests. It was so nice to hear wait staff greeting their regulars by name, celebrating birthdays with them and talking about important milestones as if they were part of their family. The food completely blew me out of the water - the ingredients fresh and packed with flavor. My family's favorite appetizer is the Brooklyn Style Wings - maybe because we are from Brooklyn, but the wings are addicting with the flavors of sausage, peppers, and a vinegary sauce. When he did inquire how everything was, we started talking and he walked away from the table before we could even get two words out. The Voodoo shrimp, Fried Green Tomatoes, and bisque were delicious. The steaks were seasoned beyond belief to where you couldn't even taste the steak flavor, garlic mashed potatoes had zero flavor and tasted as though they were water logged. The "loaded" baked potato had about a teaspoon of toppings that I stretched out to cover the top. The asparagus was extremely thick, firm, and flavorless. A leader stopped by at the end of the meal to inquire, we politely gave feedback but there was a unbothered reception by the lead. "Next time" was used in her response. She did offer to put a new steak for my dad on the grill, but by this time we were at the end of our meal and at this point ready to leave. There are too many options in Sarasota and the area's Keys to visit with better food and service. Ultimately, the sides and apps are good but the steak quality especially for the prices cannot be justified. I've had a steak better meal at an Outback.

I almost always have the Macadamia crusted grouper or the fresh catch and my wife gets either the filet or scallop Gnocci. The pizzas are also great and our kids love them with plenty the next day. They take reservations on open table and regularly host larger groups of 8 at some large tables and have 2 high tops that hold 14-16 people each if you have a large party.
