I was visiting Ted Sperling Park near here and decided to stop here for lunch. The restaurant located at the entrance of the beach. Very easy to spot at their Lido Beach Pavilion. I got the blackened grouper sandwich. The portion is good. The blackened is not spicy Louisiana blackened. The fish is fresh. The sandwich good enough to fill my stomach. Overalls beach food is good. Convenient for the beach goer. Parking is free.

Great little outdoor spot on the beach!! Plenty of covered shaded areas to sit and eat. Plus in addition to food, they also serve beer, wine, and cocktails! We had the lobster rolls with homemade chips. Good size roll was very filling and had great flavor. Definitely recommend! You can also get it in a lettuce wrap instead of a brioche bun.

The Lido Island Grill is locally owned by Chef Laszlo and family and is located at the Lido Beach Pavilion. This Lido Beach Pool and Pavilion is run by the Sarasota Recreation Department. Parking is free. Pets are prohibited and the restrooms are open 7am-11pm. Courtesy beach wheelchairs are available. My favorite meeting spot in Sarasota to showcase local culture to visitors. The Lido Beach Pool is open 10am-445pm and closed Mondays. Visiting the pool requires registration with the Recreation Department and a small fee. In 2001, local residents rallied to save the circa 1926 community pool from developers.

I'm staying across the street from Lido Beach while on vacation and I don't have a car. This place is literally 100 steps from my door, and I'm so thankful! I've eaten here the past two days for lunch and I love them! So far I've had the grilled Mahi Mahi tacos and the lobster roll. Both are delicious! It's open air dining with plenty of tables for seating and spacing out. They even have some picnic tables next to the palm trees for more of a beach view. I did not order any cocktails but they do have a pretty good drink list, including beer. I think it's kind of pricey, but for the convenience, I think it's worth it. My first visit I was greeted by a very nice girl who took my order and was very helpful. My second visit, the service was "meh"--wasn't greeted right away and just lukewarm personality. This place is the fanciest concession stand I've ever visited. I wish they served ice cream!

My family loved eating at the Lido concession stand before the change of ownership years ago. We decided to give the new place a chance and we're very disappointed. I ordered the BLT (a favorite with the prior SeaBreeze). I asked if the bread was toasted and was told it is. What I received was a bun which looked and tasted like an English muffin in flavor and texture which was warmed. The lettuce had no crunch and the bacon was only half cooked and almost all fat. I wasn't able to eat it at all. I let the owner know and he was rude and annoyed, but they did offer to cook me something else. I gave the fish tacos a try as they were my favorite dish under the old ownership. Before, tacos were $3 each and the best tacos I have had anywhere. Now, it is $13/$14 for 2 tacos and fries. The fish was half okay and half the pieces tasted fishy/off. Then they had southern style cold slaw which was very odd with the delicious spicy chipotle sauce. No guacamole on these tacos. The fries are not gluten free. Just a heads up to those with allergies. No more coke products. Pepsi products are provided in plastic cups which are half the size of the prior paper cups, but do include one free refill. Tue beloved ice cream shop with beach/pool toys is now a bar. So sad to see the changes that have been made. No more prime snorkeling at the beach, no more family friendly ice cream shop, or delicious fish taco Fridays. They do offer gluten free buns. We did not try them though. Fries were similar to New Pass Grill, but not seasoned quite as well (not gluten free).

When visiting, I always frequent Lido Beach for the best beach experience. It also helps that the Lido Island Grill offers so many beach lunch and snack options to cool down. There's a decent sized pavilion area. At times, there is live entertainment. Some items that I've ordered included the mahi Reuben sandwich, lobster roll, and grouper tacos. Each item was delicious and the perfect size for a beach lunch. Do not miss the chance to stop by for lunch after relaxing on the beach. read more

This is just a snack bar at the beach so don't expect fine dining, but the turkey club we had was delicious and the staff are super friendly. I wouldn't come just for the food but if you're at the beach (or want to stop and have a casual bite next to the beach) then this place is great read more

Memorial Day weekend was our first time at Lido Beach, which was great. It is a beautiful beach but since it is further out, there weren't as many people there. That was ok with us because we were able to park immediately and get a good spot. We also didn't have to stand in a long line to get lunch at Lido Island Grill either on a 95-degree day! It is located conveniently close and a short walking distance at the beach. Service was a bit slow, but the staff were nice and apologetic. It was just so hot standing in the sun. We did find a shady spot, though. We ordered the grouper tacos with fries and water. The food was ok, not the best, but at least we weren't hungry afterward. I would give a higher rating for the food, but the last few times we've purchased food and it came with tortilla chips, they were stale. This has been the norm for the past few months. I suggest getting a different brand or providing something in a bag that isn't stale. read more

Generally heavy handed on either entree - coconut shrimp (breading was too thick, shrimp were undercooked) and grouper tacos (grouper itself was also translucent and did live up to the price point). Stick to a burger or tenders and you're probably fine. read more

Firstly, the lady taking our order seemed a little rude and felt as tho we were annoying her by simply being a customer. Now I would understand maybe if it was busy but no. Just us and a few people already eating. But anyways onto the food. They had calamari which I was excited to see. Kids of course stuck with chicken tenders. I opted for the fried fish (along with that calamari we all shared). Wife got a hotdog. The only good thing was that hot dog. The batter used to fry all the food tasted like just straight flower. The calamari was extremely underwhelming. Soft and no crunch at all. Now I won't lie. When the food came out it looked delicious but after a few bites maybe we were just starving! read more

Location and covered dining area is great! Food was kinda average (fish tacos, trio of dips.) The staff was nice and they had a good system with buzzers for picking up food. It is a really great option if you are at the beach there. Not some place I'd go out of my way to trt though. read more

I was seriously surprised with the quality of food that I got at this little grill next to the beach. My daughter got the Caprese Panini my son got the chicken tenders. My wife got them grilled mahi tacos and I got the blackened grouper salad. it's just absolutely amazing. This place is a hidden gem. They have daily specials. I really recommend coming here. Just amazing. They have homemade sauces to go with all the sandwiches. Best tarter sauce I have had I. Florida. read more

Delicious food, nice people! We had lunch here and both the mahi tacos and the lobster salad were excellent. Fresh, perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and very reasonably priced, compared to any place nearby. They answered all our food allergy questions definitively, which is refreshing. After 15 months of lockdown in canada. I was just salivating for the "new " lobster roll. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! What was before will never be again!!! This either had crab or artificial fish product, no avocado or cilantro, soggy lettuce leaf and ok bun. All at an exorbitant $18 and she waited and waited to pass me my change becaseu she wanted a tip. Very very disappointed and unless reviews become better will no longer return. I want my old lobster roll back.! read more

This spot was amazing! There were 8 of us ( 5 adults, 3 kids) and we each ordered different things. Highlights: lobster roll, calamari, mozzarella sticks, French fries, even the hot dogs were great! The chicken fingers were just ok. My mom ordered the fish and chips and she said the batter was light and crispy. Great portion sizes! The two ladies working the counter were super friendly. I highly recommend stopping here for some great food right off Lido beach. Bonus: Gluten free options!!! read more

We split the Grouper Sandwich and it was very good. The seating area was adequate but the employee taking the orders at the window was less than welcoming. The pager system worked great so we got our sandwich as soon as it came off the grill. read more

Super family friendly place right on Lido beach! The food was awesome. We had a party of 8 including 3 kids and some of our favorites were the lobster roll, fish and chips, calamari and hot dogs (way better than your average hot dog.!) counter service and the staff was very friendly. read more

Fantastic food. I am impressed with how quickly we were able to order and get our food with as many people were in line. We had the mahi-mahi Reuben and it was delicious!!! Last time we went it was great too! I think we had the lobster rolls. Can't wait to go back! read more

My plan to try a dessert faded away. Once we paid we headed back to the courtyard to listen to more music before heading out. A very good meal and a pleasant evening, who could ask for more.

My family's favorite appetizer is the Brooklyn Style Wings - maybe because we are from Brooklyn, but the wings are addicting with the flavors of sausage, peppers, and a vinegary sauce. The burger was the most surprising of them all, with big flavor and smokiness infused into every bite of meat. Oysters were clean, fish was fresh, and the homemade chips had the perfect crunch. The "loaded" baked potato had about a teaspoon of toppings that I stretched out to cover the top. The asparagus was extremely thick, firm, and flavorless. A leader stopped by at the end of the meal to inquire, we politely gave feedback but there was a unbothered reception by the lead. "Next time" was used in her response. She did offer to put a new steak for my dad on the grill, but by this time we were at the end of our meal and at this point ready to leave. There are too many options in Sarasota and the area's Keys to visit with better food and service. Ultimately, the sides and apps are good but the steak quality especially for the prices cannot be justified. I've had a steak better meal at an Outback.
