Please Please Please do not purchase a vehicle at Quirk Chevrolet. First off, their prices are inaccurate, there is a disclaimer you need to trade in a vehicle and they will NOT give you full value- that is how they get you in the door. I purchased a brand new 2019 Tahoe from them because they had the correct interior and exterior colors my wife wanted. About 500 miles in the car would basically shut down going 75 on freeway. Long story short I kept bringing it back to Quirk and they would say its fixed every time to have it done a few days later. After the 3rd time it happened on 95 with my wife trying to merge onto the freeway with my 1 yr old in the back I returned the car and wanted a new one. once Quirk agreed to repurchase the brand new lemon they sold me, since they had no idea what was going on, they told me I either had to buy a car which was completely different in terms of options and color schemes or I had to pay an additional 6K for one that looked similar to mine. No, that is not right you sold me the lemon that put my family in danger, you have the obligation to give me a like kind vehicle or better at not cost too myself. It is not my fault the car kept breaking down and you didn't know how to fix it. This is where it gets good, after a MONTH of driving a rental I finally agreed to pay 3k to cut the price down the middle. NOPE, they still would not help me out. Finally, after over a month of getting nowhere with them said fine, Ill take the car that I do not want for an additional 6k paying out of my own pocket. We agreed to terms with GM. 3 DAY LATER THEY SOLD IT ON ME! Quirk would not offer me a full refund, they would not offer to order me a new car, they would not offer to swap with another dealership in the area. They said if I do not buy a car from them I have to return the rental and buy from somewhere else. They knew I had no other options and they were trying to get rid of the 2019's before their 2020's started coming in. It has been 3 months working with GM and Quirk and not only am I paying for a rental car out of pocket I still do not have a new Tahoe after I had to give them back the faulty unsafe Lemon. I have a claim with the BBB which seems to be very common Quirk. Also, do not be fooled by their good reviews, the sales guy who sold me the car literally took my phone out of my hands a wrote a good review for himself when I bought the car initially. The first and last time I will ever get my car serviced at Quirk Chevrolet. This is the closest dealership to Downtown Boston, so I made an appointment online and arrived to get my car serviced. Upon driving into the service garage, I was given a piece of paper and told to go inside and wait, that someone would come and get me when it was complete. As it was a Friday morning, I was working from their lobby from 10am when I dropped the car off until 1pm. When I realized 3 hours was a very long wait time, I asked the receptionist if she could check on the status of my car. She asked me if I had met with someone at their desk upon arrival, and I relayed to her I was told to sit and wait. She laughed in my face and said "Yikes. Be right back." She soon returned with her manager who asked me repeatedly why I would wait 3 hours and not check-in sooner. I assured him I had never been there before and was working, plus I was told someone would come and get ME. This man continued to say "Well it's clear you've never been here before. Who sits there for 3 hours and says nothing? This isn't on my guys, it's on you." I was driven to tears in the lobby. Eventually they serviced my car and comped my fee for the trouble, but I will certainly not be returning. My recommendation for Quirk Chevrolet: Don't assume everyone who walks in your front door knows the protocol. I didn't and I lost 3 hours of my day and was yelled at because of it. And while you're at it, try servicing your customers with a smile, not a scowl. read more

Bait and Switch. Went to inquire about a lease on a 2017 Chevy Bolt. They advertised $95/month on their web site. Now, I realize that there was "fine print" with that price. But, when I asked the salesperson about getting that price, he didn't know what I was talking about. I gave him the "Stock Number" from the ad and he told me that that car was a base model with no options and it "was no longer available". When I showed him the ad from their web site, and asked him why that ad was still there if the car wasn't available to ANYONE, he just shrugged and changed the subject. Again, to be clear, I don't mind as much if that price includes every rebate ever in existence, plus a trade in, plus being on a base model car, but if you advertise that price, you should be willing to sell it at that price to SOME lucky soul who meets all the criteria. At that point, I had decided I wasn't buying anything from them. I was interested in an Electric Car and I had watched a few videos on YouTube about the Chevy Volt and the Chevy Bolt and thought they were great based upon the video demos and reviews. I wen't to a local Chevy Dealer and they were very nice and polite but only had very basic knowledge about the Chevy Bolt and had only sold one since January 2017. They gave me a price on a lease that didn't make sense given the Federal Tax Credit and other incentives. So I left that Dealer and did more research. I found the website for Massenergy and saw they are into clean energy and electric cars. It turns out they offer in partnership with a few Chevrolet Dealers a big factory green discount on the Volt and Bolt. The best deal appeared to be with Quirk Chevrolet. I have not owned an American Car from GM or Ford for over 30 years so I was hesitant but decided to go to the dealership. through Massenergy. (Boy am I glad I did!) I made an appointment with a Quirk for a test drive of the Bolt and Volt. I arrived and met Devon Otto who was the salesman to demo the cars for me. We went for a ride in the Bolt and I was sold ( didn't' tell him then.) The car is incredible. Rides high like a crossover, excellent unobstructed views. With the comfort package it had a Leather interior, heated seats and steering wheel. The two digital displays were fabulous, with easy to use displays that are very customizable if you like technology and wan't to maximize the experience. Driving modes can be customized too! Sport mode is like a fun, peppy sports car, Normal is driving without thinking and L which has one Pedal driving a is seamless energy efficient driving. Car ( Spaceship) is rated for 235 Mpe but on my first full charge I got 290 mpe and didn't drive in any special way. Sales process was painless with Devon who showed me all the features, advantage and benefits of the car. (Oh, Safety Features you will have to check those out yourself) Devon showed me how much car I could own for so little money by leveraging $5500 Massenergy - dealer discount, a Federal tax rebate of $7500, MA State Rebate of $2500 and Special Lease pricing. I wanted to do a little better and Devon happily had the Sales Manager, Moenes Elzeiny come sit with me to close the deal. Moenes was a true gentleman, affable, knowledgeable and yet very professional. We haggled a bit in good humor and he came down a little further on the price to where I wanted to be. Sold! I left with the car the following day and am thrilled. I would gladly do a commercial for this dealer and Chevrolet over my experience and this car!! End of story, my son came home for a weeks visit and he has my car...I want it back. So we are going back to see Devin and Moenes to see if we can buy him a Volt or Bolt tomorrow. I hope my daughter doesn't come home too! Oh, I also have Solar Panels too, but Car charges so far are for free using ChargePoint all around MA. I wish I had trusted my gut when I was buying my car with Quirk Chevrolet. My first hint should have been when the sales manager begged me not to write a poor review, but I got a free upgrade on the car and remained silent about my grievances. Now, over a year later and multiple disappointments, I write my review. SALES: o While buying my car, the salesman literally incited a verbal argument with my boyfriend requiring the manager to intervene. o I waited for hours for my car and was told that it was in a lot, wasn't in a lot, the lot was locked. In the end, I left the dealership with my car but one that was no detailed at all. SERVICE: Below standard/Lazy work: o My car was in Quirk's lot for 26 days awaiting small body work. Two days of which it was actually being worked on. An outside company was contracted to fix a dent, which went awry. The company was paying for the repair. Quirk service said to bring the car ASAP, which we did. NO FOLLOW-UP. I never knew if they received my car, where the quote was, when it was approved, and lastly never knew the car was being worked on. o I got an oil change and no gauges were reset. o After requesting that my car be checked thoroughly (e.g. a stuck door and exposed wire), it was untouched. o No mention of a recall, particularly when the had 26 days to make some extra money and complete the repairs. I bought a Chevy Sonic November and could not be happier with the service I received, and also continue to receive. I would advise to take bad reviews with caution as individuals who find fault are usually the ones who write reviews. Remember that people who DON'T have anything to complain about usually DON'T write reviews! The good ones never make it to your screen! Quirk Chevy is professional, effective, hospitable, and clearly has the largest of selections in the area, perhaps even the state (look @ their lot!). Since they are such a large dealership, they have the ability to offer many more options than a smaller dealership. Although large, they have a large staff always working where you never feel unattended to. The manager, James, and sales associate, Peter, were ever willing to work with our budget and needs. I never once felt pressured, nor taken advantage of. I did my homework and went to many many dealerships before this one and by far Quirk offered the best deal and most benefits. Living in Rhode Island and purchasing in MA makes it difficult to get a new car registered, yet Quirk was more than willing to facilitate this to make it a non-time consuming problem for me. I just went in for my first service- it was quick and painless and although I had made my purchase months ago (and clearly wasn't buying anything new), every person in the dealership still treated me as top priority. I wanted to write a review since, as I mentioned, it sometimes is easy to forget to acknowledge outstanding service and business and much easier to complain. Took my car in for regular maintenance and the service rep was great. I think his name was Casey. I waited the appropriate amount of time and they even noticed that 2 of my filters should be changed but they left that decision up to me. The receptionist was great when I was checking out. My only complaint is that you need to get rid of the 1 to 10 rating scale on your surveys. Your team should be rated as Pass or Fail. If they fail, the customer should explain why. I don't appreciate phone calls, emails or stickers on my invoice reminding me that they need a "10" or they'll fail. Why have the system if we can't be honest as customers??! You would have received a 5 if you didn't put that sticker on my invoice! read more

I went to Quirk Chevrolet on Saturday after just having an awful experience with another dealership who were playing games, so I was not in the best frame of mind and I was worried that would negatively impact my experience. My fear was unfounded, I was introduced to Ali Brahmi and could not have been happier with my experience. Ali and I were able to work with eachother and not against. Generally hate car shopping and so does everybody else. I was very impressed with the dealership because, unlike the other 5 I went to, I had somewhere to park. When I bought my last vehicle, I dealt with the internet sales team and there was very little interaction or haggling back and forth and thats what I wanted but John Coelho my salesman, did everything he could to help me get as close to the deal I was looking for and into the vehicle I wanted. As for Service: I have been there twice for the same issue which still is undiagnosed on a 1 week old vehicle. Apart from a couple test drives no other attempt, to my knowledge, has been made to find out what is causing that annoying noise when driving. I had my Equinox serviced today for the basic stuff oil change, tire rotation etc. I was told that I would only wait for about 45 minutes tops, in the end I was stuck there for 2 hours and only got out of there because I finally got tired of waiting and decided to complain, the service people had no Idea were my car was and had no idea if it already got serviced. After another 15 minutes a young woman called me pick the car up, BUT there was a catch, they decided to charge me for the service even though I have warranty on the car which guarantees the first 2 times would be free of charge. Luckily I noticed and reported to them, because if I hadn't I would be charged $70 bucks. This place is a mess, extremely unorganized with people that don't seem to care for the customers, I will not be back ever again. read more

The lease on my Chevrolet Volt I purchased from Quirk Chevrolet had ended and decided to purchase the car. When I completed the transaction they dealership had given me new plates and kept the old plates. I asked about this and was told that Quirk would take care of turning the old plates in. In November I received an Excise tax bill from GM Financial and the City of Boston for $207.63. GM said to pay the tax, provide them with a returned plate receipt and the would refund the tax in 10 to 12 weeks. I called Quirk several times and was finally and was told to go online and print out the plate return certificate. Unfortunately the plates had not bee turned in so I completed the plate return. I was then told that GM would take care of requesting the refund which was, of course, denied because of the late completion of the plate return form. Quirk should be responsible for not returning the plates and issue me my refund. They have refused. read more

I purchased my Bolt from Quirk. Shayne was great to deal with and very knowledgeable about the EVs. I had a notice from OnStar about what was said to be a "recall" and made an appointment with Herb Chambers in Peabody which is my local dealer. They couldn't tell me how long the service would be but when I dropped it off the service tech said 45 mins to an hour. In 1 1/2 hours I returned and they hadn't even gotten to the vehicle yet. So I left expecting I will NEVER RETURN TO HERB CHAMBERS ANYWHERE!!!!So I called Quirk to get more information about the recall. BEN in service was GREAT!! He told me it was not a recall but a customer satisfaction issues and he explained the entire issue as well as the fact that it should take 20-30 minutes at a certified dealer. I don't want to drive from No shore to Braintree but I may have to just for the peace of mind. read more

The salesman didn't even care to hear about my situation- it was just apply, apply apply! I applied, not only did they run my credit over and over so I had multiple inquires- but he didn't want to hear about my situation about a previous loan I had and that was being handled, ran my credit and told me if I didn't $5,000 to put down- there was nothing he could do for me! I am disgusted that salesmen at your dealership could try to make someone feel so insignificant. I then left, and went back in and asked the finance employees at the desk about the loan- he looked me and goes you got the 5,000 to put down? Because that's all that will work, your payments are going to be high to- get a co-signer. So RUDE. I had done my research on car buying and prepared for a lengthy, high pressure process before going in. Not with Sean. It turned out to be a pleasant, stress free experience. Sean was very helpful, knowledgable, straight forward, and most importantly, honest through out the process. We got a great price when we left for the day and didn't get pushed to make a decision. We shopped around other Chevrolet dealers and came back to buy the car from Sean. There was a mistake when we signed the paperwork where the car's VIN got mixed up. Sean corrected it and more than made up for our little inconvenience. We got a very good deal and we are happy. I was sold a truck, and when I picked it up it had a cracked windshield, which was not there when I test drove it. When called immediately after we left the dealership, I was told we'd be better off getting it replaced on our own through the insurance. We disagreed, and It took them 2 months to fix it! And I was promised matching paint for free since the truck had scratches on it, and I still have yet to receive it after talking with them about 20 times and its 3 months later! They sent me a thank you letter asking to please reach out with any issues at any time and they filled me with false promises every time. I went in with eyes open and received nothing but a great car-buying experience from Sean Mulkerrins (EV expert in sales) and Wissam Bassil (sales manager). They listened to my needs and offered me a great car at a fantastic price. I received the discounts promised on the web site and received a fair appraised value for my trade-in. I couldn't ask for more from a car dealership. I even drove 60 miles in Thursday evening traffic to get there, but easily worth the trip. read more

My husband and I spent almost three hours at Quirk to puchase a used truck. About twenty minutes after we shook hands on the deal and filled out the necessary paperwork we were informed by their GM if we didn't go with their GMC financing then the purchase price would have to increase an additional $500. That was unbelievable and unacceptable. We had no problem going with GMC financing if they had a competative rate however their rate was twice the percentage points. They said "just refinance a few months later with your own bank to get a lower rate". Like I said, unbelievable and unprofessional...... Worst experience! I had my fiancees car towed there yesterday morning. It arrived no later than 10:15. Mind you, I called at 8:15 to let them know it was being towed there. Spoke with Jarod who said he was setting up an appointment for me. At 11:15, my fiancee was called and told they were going to be looking at it. I called at 1:15, I was told they were bringing it in at 2 and I would have an answer at 3. I was then told later that they would look at it in the morning. I called at 7:15, no answer. I finally got throughout 7:50 and was told I needed to speak with Jarod and he wasn't in yet. I asked what time he gets in, around 8 is what I was told. I left my name and number. At 8:55, I called again. I spoke with Noel because the manager Jeff Hines was not at his desk. Noel couldn't find the paperwork and asked if he could call me back. At 9:06, I got a call back from Jarod. He said they were bringing the truck in at the 11. I asked if this was going to happen seeing yesterday I was told the same thing yet it never happened. He then told me he had 100 cars there and the technicians weren't the fastest! At 11:30 my fiancee was called and told they were test driving the truck. Shortly after I was contacted with the results. I approved the work to be done and asked how long before it would be ready. Jarod said he would call me at 1:30 and let me know. I did receive a call at 1:30 saying the truck was ready. When we got there, the receptionist gave us the keys and bill. For $703 you would think someone would have had the decency to go over the work that was done. Several service people right there yet no one could be bothered. $532.45 for labor. Mind you the work was done in less than 2 hours. I can honestly say, we will never go back there. Very unprofessional. read more

Spent 3 hours at this place. Responded to online add only to find out we didn't qualify for full discount because we didn't belong to Costco or have a leased vehicle at our home. Really? Who makes up this crap. Salesman was rude .....I have an 855 credit score and he want d to charge me 6.25% ....idiots....rude....got their price for a 2018 up to MSRP.....not the Quirk price. Offer d me trade in price that match d my pay off...really...insulting...wasted my time...the online deals are designed to get you to come in.....I felt like I was entering a telemarketing showroom....their approach is truly deceptive....they ask you what you want to pay...how about telling me what it costs....they leave you sitting for a total of 2 hours...come back with a ridiculous sale price. They are using a method of sales that is scripted and geared to getting you to pay top dollar. The mathematics hustle is certainly fuzzy and all over the place....at the end you want to tell them to shove it. Worse experience ever buying a car. They should try truth in lending, transparent pricing, the customer is important, integrity.....the dealer who does this will get rich. No one likes car salesmen especially ones that provide false, unrealistic pricing to get you into the dealership. I was quoted "quite " a deal on a new chevy Sonic by Angela. Because the dealership is 2+ hours away I called the manager and told him the price I was given and he agreed. When I asked if there were any miscellaneous fees, additional $ I had to come up with or rebates I had to qualify for the manager Jeff all of a sudden got quiet and said I will have to call you back after looking at the numbers.
