This is not my first time at Rhody Slice, although the first time for a review!…read more This place sits in a random shopping plaza off Post Rd in North Kingstown. The bright orange sign is your beacon to delicious pizza! Pull in, find a spot and head inside to a gorgeous cafe-esque pizza shop. A beautiful slice display showcasing 6 different pizzas, and plenty of local options for soda, beer and wine. They make NY style pizza here at Rhody Slice. The staff here are always friendly and efficient. The person helping you is usually the one making it, so it's nice to be able to speak to your pizza maker directly if you have specific needs! We were pretty simple today, half pepperoni and half meatball. I love their crust the most. It has great texture, and it's so tasty. You can really taste the care they put in the dough. They tend to go lighter on the sauce, so keep that in mind if you are a sauce-forward pizza lover. The pepperoni are all beef and the meatballs are clearly homemade and tender. The pizza eats easily, it's so light! Between the two of us, we crushed the whole pie. Another satisfying lunch at Rhody Slice! It's not hard to overlook this place among the many plazas on Post Rd. Blink and you drive past it. So take it from me, keep your eyes peeled for the orange sign because you won't want to miss your turn.

The crust was thin, which I know is typical for gluten free, but mine was a bit burnt around the edges and a little light on sauce and cheese. The flavor itself was ok and it actually reheated well the next day, which I appreciated. My boyfriend ordered the 18" hot honey pizza and said it was solid. Not the best he's ever had, not the worst, just a good, straightforward pizza. It was on the pricier side, especially with the added card and app fees. Overall it was fine, just not a standout first impression. I'm willing to give it another try and hope for a better experience next time.

The owners were so nice to chat with. Jay and Erin have been in the bar and restaurant scene for years, and you can tell they are so passionate about it. The menu is thought out, affordable and delicious. Whether you want chicken, pork, shrimp or more, you can get it in the way you want it. Bowls, tacos, burritos, quesadillas and more. You'll be blown away that food that good is priced affordably! There's not much of that left in 2025, but they're making it happen. Their cocktails are amazing too. They are bursting with flavors and there are so many to pick from. They are doing elevated spicy margs, fun beet cocktails, pear daiquiris and the most epic espresso martini I've ever had. You're gonna need one of each! Or maybe two!! I cannot explain how happy I was here. The service, the food, the drinks, the ambiance were all . Go see for yourself!

Amazing service from the waitresses when they weren't busy. I expected to have Mexican food/tacos but it was different than what I've had (I'm Mexican). The guacamole had more of a curry flavor but the queso was really good and I was pouring it over the guacamole to hide that curry taste. The flour tortillas in the tacos were cold and as if they were taken out of the package and the food was placed in them. I think next time I come I'll eat before I get there and just have delicious margaritas and maybe chips and queso.

We made a new friend before we even walked in the door, which says a lot about the vibe here. There was live music playing, and we wanted to enjoy it while still being able to chat, so we were given a great little corner spot at the bar. Mallory greeted us warmly and gave thoughtful recommendations after I asked a few questions about food intolerances. I really appreciated that. We started with the tostada nachos, which were very tasty and spicy. Then my beau enjoyed the fish and chips and a stuffie and I had the steak frites with parmesan truffle fries. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. We also enjoyed a few cocktails. The blueberry cucumber mule was delicious and I will absolutely be back for another. I made sure to save room for a liquid dessert and ended the night with the hazelnut espresso martini. It did not disappoint. Thank you for a really nice night out. We will be back soon.

The food however is not very good, at least the items I had last night. The best of them was an order of onion rings. They aren't outstanding, they are frozen food service, bulk, breaded onion rings. But they were served hot, and correctly fried. That's not a given, many places serve this kind of thing incorrectly, with a mushy center, but these were perfectly fine. The rest of the food was far less fine. One of the specialty menu items is a "PASTRAMI SAMMICH". The house made pastrami was dry and tough, a hard thing to imagine from this particular cut, but this version was cooked to the consistency of leather. Some bits had an inedible crunch. If I were to guess, this sandwich had been left on a grill unattended, not to great effect. Thats definitely what happened to my cheeseburger. I'm limiting the amount of ground beef I eat in an effort toward a healthier me. A burger for me is now a rarest treat. I didn't bother to eat all of this one, after a second bite of the overdone frozen restaurant pack beef I figured it's not worth wasting one of my burgers on this. We paid the bill and I picked something up for dinner on the way home. The Bah is Mehh. D+

Wickford on the Water has a prime spot with water views from their deck and side windows. In summer this place if full most days due to it's location. Recently we stopped in for lunch. The street side of the building is a dining room, while the water side is a bar area with bar seating and high top tables. Single men's and women's rooms are in the hallway connecting the two spaces. Wait to be seated by the hostess. On our visit, the hostess sent us down the hall to 'see Angelo' in the bar as the dining room was full. Angelo let us pick a table and brought menus. We placed our drink order and spent a good deal of time looking over the menu. Angelo was patient and gave us plenty of time to decide. Their website has options for ordering pick-up or delivery through door dash where you can view those menu options, but not 'just the menu' as a stand alone page to preview. It was a sunny, cold day and I decided on the short rib shepherds pie and a side salad. The salad arrived first. It was very lightly dressed with fresh lettuce and brittle croutons. The shepherds pie arrived in a casserole, hot from the oven with cheese melted over the potatoes. My first bite was potatoes. They were tasty enough with the melted cheese on top. No need for salt or other seasonings. My second bite had a mere hint of meat in an oily sauce under all those potatoes. After eating a quarter of the dish and finding very little short rib, I began to move the potato out of the way to access the meat. This revealed an inconsistent, thin film of meat at the bottom of the bowl. I do love potatoes, and these were tasty, however, for that price, I expect more protein. The restaurant was quiet during our visit. They have a nice mix of relaxing, current music playing in the background. The restaurant and restroom were clean. Deck dining and bar, in warmer weather, is a nice option and the menu offers a variety of food choices from apps to entrees. Staff are competent. Parking is on-street and in the local public lot nearby.

When I got out of my car, the first thing I smelled was pizza. Delicious pizza, at that. I was already hungry so I walked a little faster to get inside The place is cozy, with a decent sized bar and lots of booths in the dining area. I always get great service here and last night was no exception. We ordered the Four Brother's Special, a red sauce pie with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, mushrooms and green peppers. It came out steaming. The texture of this crust is classic Greek style, with all the traditional crispy and airy elements. The toppings were great, the sauce was savory and the cheese was plenty. It was a little messy to eat but hey, that's what the plate is for! I was very pleased with this pizza and I would get this again, or explore another combination on the menu. They had an Italian one with ricotta that piqued my interest and was almost my order that I'll probably try next time. So if you're on Post Road in North Kingstown, make sure you swing by this place and check it out!
