Complete waste of money - ordered the brown rice boba tea at the suggestion of the employee there and after buying a $6 drink, I should've just ordered water instead because that's exactly what it tasted like. Completely tasteless and we didn't realize this until we got in the car already on the way home to try it otherwise I would've asked for my money back. Other milk tea we ordered was completely the opposite with it being extremely sweet to even continue drinking. $12, our gas and time all completely wasted - don't bother with this place. Probably the worst bubble tea stores in San Diego. Terrible service with one of the most attitude driven cashier. They will mess up your order and tell you that it's not wrong and won't make up for it. I along with others were also served drinks with spoiled milk in them. Horrible customer service walked in made eye contact with two people in the back that didn't even come out to say hello or offer assistance with anything instead the kid just flexed his arms while taking a video of himself. I have been around 4-5 times half of the time the boba is stuck together in a massive clump. The flavors of the tea are nice. They are on the little pricier side. They are out of a few options. If you are getting the honey boba though keep in mind 50/50 they will be stuck together! I wish I could do point ratings. Not sure what they think horchata is but my version of it doesn't taste at all like theirs! I expected one taste and got something totally different; it was almost floral. Not good. Will never try their horchata milk tea ever again, even though it was recommended. Zero stars for that. The 2 stars are for the watermelon stormy, which hubby said was actually good. Service is just ok and gets 1 star but still has a lot to be desired. My go-to drink is always a Wintermelon Milk Tea and I love it here as well as their boba which is always made the way I love it. The service has always been great here when I stop by. Hello we called r and b before taking a trip out there and we asked if they had boba. I arrived to the store asking to order my drink with boba and the cashier told me she's out. I told her I called and specifically asked about the boba if they had any and she said "sorry". Terrible this is my third time dealing with this. I showed up at 2022 and the store doesn't close time 21/22. I love the convoy location but the otay ranch location has been giving me problems, the door is a safety hazard for sure and I don't see why they can't fix it. Horrible customer service. My daughter and I used to come here on a daily basis usually spending at least $15-$20 each visit. One day my drink was disgusting because they have forgotten to add the blended strawberry that was supposed to be in the drink, I turned around and went back to the manger and they made a big fuss calling all the staff and I had to wait over 15 minutes just to get a replacement drink and I was treated badly with no apology. mid at best, the milk teas have a really weird after taste to them, but the stormys are decent. I've been to the location in convoy and it's the same problem with the weird aftertaste in the milk teas. At first I thought it was just me who thought this, but all my friends agree with me on this. As for the service, it could be a bit better. The guy who took our order was really nice, I think his name was Devin. I took one sip of my drink and didn't like it so I asked if they could remake another one. The guy at the register was really polite about it, he said of course, but the girl who remade my drinks was really rude about it. At first I thought the place had great service, but that girl just ruined it for me, she should not be working a customer service job if you're going to be angry doing your job. I used to regularly go to Sharetea which is another tea place in the shopping center behind the Otay Ranch mall but the drinks were inconsistently made and the employees were rude. This place was pretty good... their Taro Milk Tea was amazing!! Staff was friendly and the store was nice. The only gripe i had was their "Hawaiian Fruit black and green tea". Please change the name to something like "SoCal Lemonade". The taste was pretty much like a lemonade tea..... nothing about this drink is Hawaiian..... pineapples grow in Hawaii. There's no pineapple. Hawaii is full guava and lychee. There is none. Only watermelon, lemon, and lime. Nothing Hawaiian about that. read more
