This was supposedly their after-hours rate, in addition to an after-hours charge of $369.02. In their invoice, they stated that they boarded up 3 doors, when in reality, they only posted a notice on the 2 other doors. They also failed to check any other openings in the house. Consequently, the property was broken into the very next day through an unlocked window. Clearly, their definition of securing a property differs vastly from one dictated by common sense. The total bill for their useless service: $3,157.26. On my first attempt at contacting them to express how outlandish this charge was, they hung up on me. Then, less than a month after the fire, they started to threaten me with a lien. The contractor's board declined to investigate them as board-up services are outside of their scope, but someone definitely should!

Side note: 36" microwaves are no longer produced. They came out as promised at 8:00 and took measurements and did a very good job removing the old microwave and installing a new 30" one and wood surrounds matching the cabinets. Very polite and great job and clean- up. Norma even replaced a piece of cabinet trim that had fallen off prior to. Definitely would use again.

With assurances that our problems were over, we replaced patio and flooring. House continued to sink. Company honored warranty but we were not high on list of priorities and waited months for their return. In all, they lifted house and injected foam three times. The fourth time back, they said we needed more piers at additional cost. We decided this company was for the "birds" and we wouldn't pay them anything more. We had discovered that push piers were the wrong type for our soil and helical piers should have been used. The foam was the wrong type as well in that it filled voids but didn't provide adequate support. Through the company that makes helical piers, we found a local installer in Terra Contracting of Las Vegas. What a difference! Ed came out, knew what we needed and took care of us like we were family. It took 13 helical piers and extensive injections of the right stuff. Work crew, led by Jose, was fantastic! They came when they said they would come, on time, every time. They replaced the dirt and cleanup was so good you couldn't tell they had been there. I would highly recommend Terra Contracting! We have to patch and paint; and, redo the flooring but we are confident it will be for the last time.

I'm so sorry that this review is 2 years overdue but I can't recommend Brown Masonry and Mr. Brown…read moreenough. Yelp really came through with this find. It was nice dealing with a veteran owned business that feels really personal with a hands on owner. For some stupid reason 1 side of my wall was basically missing a row of blocks. I've always HATED that my neighbor and I could stare into each other's patio doors without trying. I never wanted to offend him by asking to build the wall up but I took advantage to bring it up as they were moving out. He said yeah he hated it too so go for it. He's on the HOA board so my architectural request got approved within days and the search for a mason began. I got a bunch of responses to my Yelp project request with some saying they don't do small jobs like mine, some crazy quotes of 2k (assume that was F off pricing). Luckily Mr. Brown responded with an incredibly fair quote after I sent details and photos and I think he stopped by the next morning to drop off samples to make sure the colors matched. We got it scheduled pretty quickly and his in person quote was a little lower than the text quote, which has never happened before. It really says what a good and honest person you're dealing with. His guy came out on time, was nice and did a great job. The only issue was that I didn't think I had to mention the mortar should match the existing not match the block color. I didn't pay attention and only caught it after it was done. Mr Brown came out to take a look and his suggestion was to cover the brown mortar with grey. It's not an exact match (I knew it wouldn't be) but it's good enough and I really appreciate his quick response. Masonry work isn't something that comes up often but I will use Brown Masonry again any chance I get. Thank you so much Mr. Brown

Glen and LaShawn did a fantastic job. I was concerned that we would have issues with our HOA because maybe the brick or something wouldn't match but the repair was absolutely seamless. The whole team went above and beyond, were very knowledgeable, worked super hard, and cleaned up the area really well when the job was completed. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for another project. Highly recommend.!
