I have eaten R&R BBQ a few different times, and at a few different locations; most of the time it is usually always delicious. This is the first time I have eaten at the Provo location. It was awesome. I don't know if I was just super hungry or what but they exceeded expectations. I was lucky enough to go on Wing Wednesday and the wings are my new favorite item. My table shared wings so we could still enjoy other meat choices. I personally had the brisket, chicken thighs (my other favorite item), and pulled pork (you have to try the Carolina Sauce on the pork, it was made for it). One of the other guys got the ribs. We all loved it. I will say that this place is hard to find. We parked on the north side of Riverwoods near Provo Beach. It's kind of tucked away in the corner. Keep looking, you will find it. Met the chef Waymon he has a passion for cooking and it comes through in the delicious flavors. Great food. Great atmosphere. If I could change one thing it would be homemade rolls. Their rolls are not exciting or anything I'd ever pay money for. But the meat fries and sauces were delicious and worth every penny. The first time my special lady friend and I ate at this location a couple of times and it was pretty good. I liked the tacos, but the wings were a highlight. Both smokey and juicy. But, unfortunately, the last couple of visits were extremely disappointing. The smoked burger sounded interesting, but turned out to be pretty bad. It had a dry, mealy texture, and no sear or crust of any kind. The tacos were also very dry the last two times I had them. Ultimately, though, the real problem is the completely indifferent service (for lack of a better word). I asked how the onion rings were, and the girl at the register said she hadn't had them. She leaned over to the girl next to her, whispered something, and then said, "They're decent." The other girl then told me they were battered, not "the crumbly kind." I asked if they made them in house, or if they were frozen. Her response was, "I don't know." I could go on, but you get the idea. I can deal with occasionally subpar food, or service that is sometimes less than stellar, but this place is too expensive to expect both on the regular. Strong not recommend. read more

We stopped by at around 2 p.m. today for a late lunch/early dinner. Traveling from Wyoming to St. George and on the our home in California. What a treat and treasure. My wife and I shared a three meat plate: brisket, pulled port, and ribs along with a side of potato salad and fries. And my wife just had to have the banana pudding. Let me tell you all was exceptional. Tender and perfectly smoked meats and terrific sides. Waymen, the pit boss and manager was terrific. Very nice and you could tell he loves his work, the customers and of course all things bbq. He also brought us a taste of the peach cobbler, meat loaf and cream corn. So much food and all top notch. And my wife said don't forget the very tasty hush puppies as they were to die for good!! I only wish we had an R & R branch in California. Utah is very fortunate and Provo in particular. read more

BBQ has always been a favorite for me, so if I can find it, I love to try it. It was my first time R&R experience, and it was great! We got the wings, ribs, red beans and rice, and the onion rings. Everything was delicious! I love to try beer battered onion rings in any restaurant I'm trying for the first time, and they did not disappoint! Delicious, and huge! The manager/owner is very nice and friendly, and attentive. But, all else was pretty bad. The line takes forever, and the guy ringing us up was so slow it was ridiculous. I've been to the South Jordan location before but I ordered take out from Provo and was really disappointed. The brisket tacos were $2 more than the in-store menu, were cold, and didn't have cheese on them. The online ordering system was inconsistent between ordering platforms, the kids meal did not come with all the listed items, and several menu items were missing. Went in the middle of the lunch rush, and to our surprise there was a whopping 1-2 other customers there. For good reason. The ribs were so dry and hard one couldn't distinguish meat from bone. The fries they served us were old and cold so they made a "fresh batch." How about you throw out your old food instead of serving that schlop to paying customers? Avoid this place. read more

I have a family of 5 and there wasn't one person that was satisfied with the food. The food was done NO JOKE, seconds after paying for our meals. My half rack of ribs was cold, my kids fries were unseasoned, the hush puppies had been sitting around and were DRY. The beer selection is a minuscule and ghastly. read more

Pretty good BBQ coming from someone who's lived in Kansas City. I tried this out from a cupón they gave to the BYU students. The staff are all very friendly and treat you well. I usually get the bbq pulled pork sandwich and fries. It is always super good. The portion on that is smaller but you can get a bigger plate of brisket or ribs but expect to pay $15 for a meal. I think the best bang for your buck tho is to get the meat by the pound. They give you a roll with it too. In all great bbq but a little pricy if you want something that's gunna full you up. read more

Perfectly cooked meats with sauces that spice it up nicely, but it's not just the food. The people there are amazingly friendly and helpful. Best BBQ I've ever had! The brisket is tender, flavorful, and amazing! My daughter tried the brisket taco's, and they were delicious. As for sides, definitely try the fried orca, and the fried pickles. Their Mac and cheese is really good- made from scratch. Everything was super good.
