We had Valley Plumbing install a water heater for us through American Home Shield. Fast forward months. We find out there is a gas smell near the utility closet. Luckily nothing happened but apparently installation was not properly done and a leak was left unnoticed. Further on we find out the installation is not up to Code so we try to find out if there was a permit. Records do not show a permit request so at this point I don't know what else they might have done wrong. Long story short STAY FAR AWAR FROM THEM. Completely unprofessional people, cutting corners and putting you at risk. When we called regarding the permit and mentioned that there is a leak they did not believe it and argued that it was an effort to slander their good business. Hal came over, reviewed a list of items we wanted and came in significantly lower then the 4 other companies who provided the same estimates. Hal was also the only person who came up with a creative idea when it came to adding a dishwasher to our small kitchen(something we're definitely doing down the road). Hal arrived on time and right off the bat was not only professional, but very polite. He asked if/when he needed to move certain items to get access, and did an excellent job with cleanup. They came out and inspected…read morethe furnace, and said the furnace was fine but our thermostat was broken and they'd replace it for $300. I told them I would do it myself, and reinstalled the original thermostat, which worked fine. 2 months later (in December) the furnace stopped. I called them, they said they would try to get here that day. We waited all day with no response. They came the day after and said they needed to order a part, but could not tell us when it would arrive. Into the weekend, after 2 full days without heat, they said to get heat on the weekend would cost $1200, or $700 if we waited until Monday or Tuesday. We chucked them and called another company. That company said this was a common problem and should have been caught in the inspection. They could come on the weekend to do it for $1000, or do it on Monday for $500. I shouldn't have called back after the thermostat issue, but I sure won't call again, and recommend anyone else also look elsewhere

I found Marcello's Plumbing and once they arrived they gave an honest quote, fixed all of the damaged pipes, added shut off valves everywhere that there should have been already (last plumber did not do it correctly). It is impossible to find another company that is this dedicated, honest, and reliable. They said they would show up, and they did. I've tried many company's over the last 20 years, this one is by far the best!
