    Nasty lemon curd.
    Sheila K.

Went in there today, for the first time, and bought some fried pies. The chocolate was soured, the lemon was such a runny mess that I had to change my shirt. The apple was okay but not worth having again. For $3 each, you'd think they'd be better than that. I'll never purchase anything from this place again.

Fried Pie is kind of skinny!

I normally don't write reviews but this was the worst barbecue I've ever had. I basically threw the plate away and walked out.

This place is absolutely awful. Brisket served was as tender as an old tire and half as tasty.

Just moved to the area. I had a taste for bbq. Since I am a bbq snob I am very picky with the…read moreplaces I choose to try. The bbq looked on point and very tender. I was not disappointed and this will be my go to bbq spot in this area. Highly recommend and well worth the try. Great service and customer friendly. This is what what we tried: Ribs: 10/10 tender, juicy, flavorful, you can taste the passion and the developed technique. Jalapeno cheddar sausage: 10/10 bursting with flavor, seasoned just right, great quality, good snap. Cheddar and jalapeno is balanced. Very distinct and not one you can find just anywhere. Beef sausage: 10/10 bursting with flavor, great snap, great quality and also one you can't dine just anywhere. Potatoe salad: 8/10 creamy, potatoes well cooked not over cooked, good ingredients. I would have preferred a bit more seasoning and mustard. Bbq beans: 8/10 beans and ground meat based. Nice flavor, creamy, and good quality. I would have like a bit more seasoning. I did add some spicy bbq sauce and the chopped onions provided with the meal. That brought them up to a 10. Collard greens: 8/10 Smokey, seasoned, well cooked, has soul. I prefer a sweet and hot vinegar profile. These are not that but are in a class of their own. Very good and I will purchase again. Cornbread: 10/10 fluffy, moist, buttery, flavorful. Peach cobbler: 9/10 just the right sweetness. Hint of lemon. Cinnamon, brown sugar.. seasoned well. Great flavor. This is not a traditional peach cobbler due to the pie crust not being present. This one has more of a dump cake consistency. Still well worth trying and enjoying.

It's anything but small when it comes to flavor and portions. The fried Brussels sprouts are incredible--packed with flavor and easily one of my favorites. The green beans with smoked turkey are a must every time; honestly, even a medium isn't enough for me. I could finish a large on my own without a problem. And the turkey leg? Huge. It's easily enough to share with two or even three people. It's comforting to have a place like this right here in our town. If you love barbecue and Southern food, this spot is absolutely worth trying.

In the Greenville tx area on business then heading back to Dallas. Traffic came to a full stop…read more So,I decided to take the next exit and have a BBQ sandwich at Bakers Ribs. They've been around long before the current BBQ craze. I used to eat at their Dallas Location back in the 1990s but, haven't been in 25 years. After fighting major construction congestion and stop and go detours,I finally pulled into the pot holed, gravel parking lot in front of the red 1980ish red metal building that is Bakers Ribs . I was also in search of The Original Fried Pie Company which happened to share space . Entering I found what I expected. Well worn old school roadside Texas BBQ place, just getting by . As with almost everyone else, they've upgraded to a thin screen digital overhead menu. I hate those things because they have no soul...yada,yada,yada I ordered the chopped beef sandwich and waited about five minutes for the few in front of me to gradually get their order filled by the one person, chopping meat, frying fries and filling orders . The vibe is worn out ,we tried western kitch decor in 1980. That's ok but, this is a sad little place that's seen its better day. Regressing slightly. When I first entered a case of various fried pies was the first thing I came to. More on that later . Pouring myself a unsweetened ice tea,I sat down to hopefully enjoy my sandwich. It was better than I expected, and after doctoring it up with onions, jalapeno, pickles and sauce,it passed my test, barely. I wish them well but,I probably won't go back. The owners need to either recomit to increasing the quality of their food and service or? Now to the fried pies. Yumalicious! I bought 6 at $3 75 each. 2 Cherry,2 Apple,2 Peach. I put three in the freezer and left the others out for consumption. Wow. Warmed up under the broiler and served alongside BlueBell Vanilla, niezzzz! Overall my experience was a whiff of the past. That going, going, gone place on the side of the highway that's just good enough to keep you going ,to the next detour.

Amazing brisket. Friendly folks working there. Reasonable prices. Pies look great for later!read more
