    Nasty lemon curd.
    Sheila K.

Went in there today, for the first time, and bought some fried pies. The chocolate was soured, the lemon was such a runny mess that I had to change my shirt. The apple was okay but not worth having again. For $3 each, you'd think they'd be better than that. I'll never purchase anything from this place again.

Fried Pie is kind of skinny!

I normally don't write reviews but this was the worst barbecue I've ever had. I basically threw the plate away and walked out.

This place is absolutely awful. Brisket served was as tender as an old tire and half as tasty.

I was not disappointed and this will be my go to bbq spot in this area. Highly recommend and well worth the try. Great service and customer friendly. This is what what we tried: Ribs: 10/10 tender, juicy, flavorful, you can taste the passion and the developed technique. Jalapeno cheddar sausage: 10/10 bursting with flavor, seasoned just right, great quality, good snap. Cheddar and jalapeno is balanced. Very distinct and not one you can find just anywhere. Beef sausage: 10/10 bursting with flavor, great snap, great quality and also one you can't dine just anywhere. Potatoe salad: 8/10 creamy, potatoes well cooked not over cooked, good ingredients. I would have preferred a bit more seasoning and mustard. Bbq beans: 8/10 beans and ground meat based. Nice flavor, creamy, and good quality. I would have like a bit more seasoning. I did add some spicy bbq sauce and the chopped onions provided with the meal. That brought them up to a 10. Collard greens: 8/10 Smokey, seasoned, well cooked, has soul. I prefer a sweet and hot vinegar profile. These are not that but are in a class of their own. Very good and I will purchase again. Cornbread: 10/10 fluffy, moist, buttery, flavorful. Peach cobbler: 9/10 just the right sweetness. Hint of lemon. Cinnamon, brown sugar.. seasoned well. Great flavor. This is not a traditional peach cobbler due to the pie crust not being present. This one has more of a dump cake consistency. Still well worth trying and enjoying.

It's anything but small when it comes to flavor and portions. The fried Brussels sprouts are incredible--packed with flavor and easily one of my favorites. The green beans with smoked turkey are a must every time; honestly, even a medium isn't enough for me. I could finish a large on my own without a problem. And the turkey leg? Huge. It's easily enough to share with two or even three people. It's comforting to have a place like this right here in our town. If you love barbecue and Southern food, this spot is absolutely worth trying.

In the Greenville tx area on business then heading back to Dallas. Traffic came to a full stop…read more So,I decided to take the next exit and have a BBQ sandwich at Bakers Ribs. They've been around long before the current BBQ craze. I used to eat at their Dallas Location back in the 1990s but, haven't been in 25 years. After fighting major construction congestion and stop and go detours,I finally pulled into the pot holed, gravel parking lot in front of the red 1980ish red metal building that is Bakers Ribs . I was also in search of The Original Fried Pie Company which happened to share space . Entering I found what I expected. Well worn old school roadside Texas BBQ place, just getting by . As with almost everyone else, they've upgraded to a thin screen digital overhead menu. I hate those things because they have no soul...yada,yada,yada I ordered the chopped beef sandwich and waited about five minutes for the few in front of me to gradually get their order filled by the one person, chopping meat, frying fries and filling orders . The vibe is worn out ,we tried western kitch decor in 1980. That's ok but, this is a sad little place that's seen its better day. Regressing slightly. When I first entered a case of various fried pies was the first thing I came to. More on that later . Pouring myself a unsweetened ice tea,I sat down to hopefully enjoy my sandwich. It was better than I expected, and after doctoring it up with onions, jalapeno, pickles and sauce,it passed my test, barely. I wish them well but,I probably won't go back. The owners need to either recomit to increasing the quality of their food and service or? Now to the fried pies. Yumalicious! I bought 6 at $3 75 each. 2 Cherry,2 Apple,2 Peach. I put three in the freezer and left the others out for consumption. Wow. Warmed up under the broiler and served alongside BlueBell Vanilla, niezzzz! Overall my experience was a whiff of the past. That going, going, gone place on the side of the highway that's just good enough to keep you going ,to the next detour.

I checked it out on YELP and it only had 3.5 stars, so that gave me a little pause. However, five out of six locals can't be wrong, right? The first thing you notice are the prices...it's like you stepped back into 2015; hardly any entree's over $9.99. along with the obligatory chips and salsa, they also offer free queso. My wife had the "Mexican plate" - 2 tamales, an enchiladas and crispy taco, rice and beans - $9.99. I had 12 shrimp in a chipotle sauce with rice and corn tortillas - $10.99. The beer and margaritas are also incredibly affordable compared to most places these days. Is it the best Mexican food that I've ever had? No. But it was quite good and I would certainly eat here again. Our servers were great - Michelle is quiet and efficient. Mona is efficient and a bit of a prankster. Excellent teamwork. Jalapeño's, keep up the great work!!

If there are no tables available, you wait for one. The menu has a lot of food and combo options. They do have a bar, but didn't seem to have a bartender. The servers were making their own drinks, so you can't expect to place a fancy bar order here. They dont bring you a check, you just pay at the front and they'll know what to charge. Service is slow, for any small time town. No need to hurry through dinner, just sit and relax and your food will be ready when its ready. They do provide chips, salsa and queso for every guest while you wait for your food. Good luck not filling up on that before you get your food. The salsa and queso are both so good! I love their chili con carne. It's got deep flavors, hints of cinnamon and a great mouth feel. The steak was super flavorful and juicy. It can stand on its own. Affordable dinner, left full and would return again, now that we have some expectations settled.

We didn't get any sides, since we have three kids who don't like normal bbq sides, but we got a 1/2 pound of 5 different meats and I will break them down one by one. Pulled pork: maybe the best pulled pork I have had since moving down to Texas. It was pulled to perfection and it really packed some good flavor. Paired with either the sweet or original sauce, it didn't lose its flavor and made a super good bite. Sausage: this sausage was my wife's favorite of the bunch. It has a kielbasa flair to it, and was super good on its own or paired with their sauces. We really got a lot of it. My kids really liked it as well (which is saying something if you know them). Turkey: My only complaint was that it was dry. Flavor was on point and paired with the sauces you could barely tell. Ribs: we were split on these but my son and I both agree these were pretty dang good. I loved the rub they put on them (way better than the Traeger rub I used on mine last week). My wife didn't like the texture, as they were not fall off the bone. These definitely had a tug on them, but were really meaty, and the flavor was SO good. I am a big stickler for ribs as so many big chains can't seem to get them right. These were done right. I am also jealous of their rub. Brisket: this was my sons favorite. I will omit my thoughts here as I am not a fan of brisket (at all) so it isn't super fair for me to judge. Everyone else loved it. My son REALLY loved it. Most of that half pound is in that 6 year old stomach right now. Overall, they had something for everyone. They were friendly, relatively quick (since it is one guy in there and we ordered a bunch) and best of all DELICIOUS! Not to mention we spent half of what we would a couple miles down the street (you all know who I am talking about). Thank you for bringing your talents to Princeton. We will be back!
