    Mystery cut chops.
    Les K.

What a nightmare. R's Place has been at that location since as far back as I can remember. Good food with good prices is all anyone wants, and R's Place was a "given" here. You knew exactly what to expect. Hell, the items on the salad bar were the same for 40 years! It was a fixture, and the lines were long during peak hours. We hadn't been for awhile, and knew "something was up" when we walked in. It was pretty much empty of people. All the toys were gone. That's fine, but then we got the menu. The tiny, little menu. The prices shocked us. But okay, everything is going up, but going up THAT much? A burger and fries, $17.00? And a "Hearty" entre that had chicken and broccoli for $18.00 and that's it?? No potato? Rice? Those two starches are 6 bucks a ton. C'mon! Anyway, we ordered, reluctantly. My wife got pork chops, I got the Southern BBQ burger. The chops were what I call a "mystery cut". (See pic) It's like the deal you get at Jewel where the "good" chops are on top, hiding the chops that perhaps came from a pig with horrible birth defects. The "fresh" green beans were anything but. She said they tasted okay, but they were obviously cooked on a flattop. I told her they looked boiled. My burger was actually delicious but looking at it when delivered you'd likely not think that (see pic). I'd give it an 7 out of 10. The fries were crinkle-cut from frozen, and that's not only lazy, but it's a terrible way to make a profit. The waitress was nice, but seemed hurried, even though she only had two other tables. Slapping down tea or napkins while buzzing by kind of irritates me. I'll give the place one star for the burger, but that's all it deserves. Will we ever go again? Not a chance. BP owns it now, so we heard. Not that this is important, but it was previously owned locally, and local people generally give a crap, amirite?

His place has served great food since 1989. Love it . Plenty of seating ,very clean. You set in restaurant or grab ,premade to go , pastries ,lasagna, chicken pot pie,and much more

Stuffed shrimp .. Rather small CANNED green beans...EEEWWWW

Our server Koren was very sweet... But the food was soooooo disappointing. 3:pm on Sunday and the place is near empty. Lots of items on the salad bar needed refilling. I ordered the stuffed shrimp special. It was in a pool of melted butter...thr breading fell off! I swear ..they cut the shrimp in half! Very small portion. Baked potato was overcooked. Canned beans..my pet peeve!! For $18 you should serve fresh beans or broccoli!! My husband gave me some of his chicken pot pie and that was a big disappointment as well It tasted like canned chicken. Total waste of time and money..

R-Place is the definition of a 3-star spot. It was plenty good, but nothing special. It is located in a large gas station and is basically your modern-day truck stop diner. I went with a group to grab brunch one Saturday morning and it was uneventful. We got our food, we ate, we paid, we left. I went with the chicken fried steak, eggs, and hash browns. You get a ton of food and it's reasonably priced but none of it really stood out. It was all "fine". I left full and satisfied but the quality of the food was nothing to note. I'm in no hurry to go back, but also wouldn't avoid it.

    Bavarian pretzel

Close to the bathrooms and showers so it smells bad when you sit near the doors in the restaurant. Looks like they didn't vacuum my the carpet for weeks. My table was dirty and sticky. I normally would consider buying a bakery item but it seems really unsanitary now. It wasn't busy there but still took a long time to get my drink and appetizer. The pretzels were burnt. The cheese was sitting out got cold and tasted like Velveeta not regular cheese sauce. Even though I didn't eat them and left before my food came out the waitress was still going to charge me for them. Before covid the restaurant was decent but now it is awful. There is not a lot on the menu anymore. Truckers who don't have other options will probably continue to keep the restaurant open.

Overall our experience was nice. 4 out of 5 stars only because the Chicken Pot Pie on special was not tasty & overpriced. My Pork Tenderloin was excellent. I always try & find a good one & theirs was breaded nice, not super thin & cooked well. We called ahead to assure there was room for 7. We also celebrated my birthday & Anthony was the person we spoke with on the phone. He also was there when we arrived. Very friendly service & he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Our server Pika was good with our table. We had 2 littles with us under 6. She brought us what we needed, refills etc... At no point did we feel like we were inconveniencing the server, she was very helpful. She also brought the birthday cake out & sang happy birthday. My nieces enjoyed putting quarters in the marionette show. I used to come here as a little girl so being able to come back and visit again was a nice moment to reminisce.

Absolutely horrible!!!! My sister and her husband joined us for dinner and they ordered the pot pie they were burned and inedible. I ordered the cream of potato soup it also was terrible nothing but water and potatoes. We will NEVER dine here again.

Living next door, we've become regulars…read more The menu is just massive, breakfast all day, insanely good boozy milkshakes, and basically anything you could possibly crave at any hour. What we love most is the vibe, I t's a 24-hour spot that somehow still feels like your friendly mom-and-pop diner. Service is always top-notch, attentive, quick, and they make you feel like family even though it's a decent sized space. Rarely any wait, unless you hit that Sunday after church rush, and even then it moves quickly because it's nice and spacious. No cons here: clean bathrooms, great prices, generous portions. From their famous patty melts to pancake specials is just solid.

My family and I have visited Griddle 24 a few times over the years and we've ordered pick up twice…read more It's okay food, open 24 hrs and it's in the neighborhood so it's convenient. Today I ordered delivery from the website and upon delivery I was given the wrong food. I called the restaurant and the lady on the phone was rude. I told her I received the wrong food, she checked the order and she realized the restaurant got the order confused. I ordered a steak skillet, they sent me a half cooked steak. (see photo) She tells me she doesn't have any delivery people available and all she can tell me is sorry. She confused me by saying the website that said griddle24.com is not ran by the actual restaurant so she can't refund my money. I'm VERY upset and I feel like they've stolen my money. I ordered what I wanted, I paid for what I wanted, and at no fault of my own, I can't get the food I ordered nor can I get my money back. They'll never see me nor my family again. WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
