PUBLIC WARNING ABOUT MASTER TECH AUTO…read more I'm making this post because I would want someone to warn me before I trusted a business with my vehicle or went to work for them. Based on what I have personally witnessed and documented, I strongly encourage people to think twice before doing business with Tim Bolt and Master Tech Auto or accepting employment there. I have video evidence of the owner using racial slurs. I also have firsthand knowledge of my husband's employment situation, including his last paycheck being withheld after he left the company (after being the only mechanic there for the past three years). I have also personally witnessed situations involving repairs where, in my view, vehicles were being charged for or having work performed that did not appear to be necessary. I encourage anyone who has used this shop to carefully review their invoices and get a second opinion if something doesn't seem right. There is also a separate vehicle-damage situation involving tires that were allegedly mounted incorrectly (by the owner), resulting in more than $7,000 in damage. The matter is now headed toward legal action, and responsibility for that damage is being disputed. I'm not posting this because of hearsay or because I simply "don't like" the business. I have documentation and videos supporting what I'm saying, and I am prepared to provide that evidence where appropriate. Do your own research. Get second opinions. Keep your invoices. Document everything. And if you're considering working there, ask questions about how employees are treated and how final pay is handled. I would personally not recommend trusting my vehicle or my employment to this business based on what I have witnessed. The Hyundai interior brake light on the dash stayed on, they diagnosed the problem, called me let me know how much and how long it would take. Again excellent service and reasonable prices. Because they are the best auto repair shop in town, there is going to be a longer wait then usual to get serviced, but I can tell you it is worth the wait. I was told the condenser needed to be replaced so we scheduled for me to bring it back a couple days later. I dropped it off before work but when I picked it up after work my ac was a little cooler but there was still an issue. They looked over it for about 30 mins-1 hr came back and said the compressor needed to be replaced. The receptionist was gone for the day so I had to wait until the next morning for a quote. The next morning she sent me a quote to replace the compressor which included another 120 for freon. I paid 120 for freon when they replaced the condenser so I didn't feel like I should have to pay for it again, when they didn't diagnose the complete issue. after going back and forth through text he said he would give me half off the freon. I didn't feel like I should have to pay anything for freon so I went to another mechanic. Come to find out, there was nothing wrong with the compressor. The issue was they didn't put enough freon in the system. They wanted to charge me for more freon when they didn't put enough in the first time. Not to mention replacing the compressor when there was nothing wrong with it. also my check engine light came on when I picked my truck up. I turned around and took it back right then. he rode in it and ran the code, basically said what they worked on had nothing to do with it. I didn't not have this issue before they did work on my truck. turns out that was spark plugs and I think a engine coil. I guess that was just a HUGE coincidence
