To be honest I moved back to the area roughly a year ago and I've noticed Scooters coffee from…read moreafar. Finally my curiosity has been fulfilled and the short of the matter is, it's really good! Located in a precarious location but in a safe but albeit lonely (at least how my mind sees it) place which can be a nightmare if you need to leave in a specific direction. The exterior seems well kept and I believe it's a little gem that I feel fortunate enough to have finally experienced. Typically I stick by my diet however I decided branch out and try the bacon and gouda egg bites. Wow, these are really good and low in carbs! Be careful, I made the mistake of tearing into mine and it was HOT. After letting it cool to non-volcanic temps, I was able to enjoy a simple symphony of satisfying selections snuggly stuffed in a small snack (try to put that many "S"s into first words... not easy). The egg hit, followed by the creaminess of the cheese and while I don't care for bacon, it was well balanced. Moreover, it wasn't really "eggy" in texture which is awesome. Two thumbs up. As for the coffee. Well after having coffee at another location which wasn't good (if you hunt down my reviews, you'll see it) I was ready for something epic or at least better. So this doctor Evil got to work I decided on a Latte with two shots of salted caramel, one vanilla, one hazelnut and finally one toasted marshmallow. I hate giving away my pure genius but "if you love something set it free...." There you have it, one of the best concoctions you'll ever try. The smoothness of the latte was elevated by the saltiness and sweetness of the caramel while the vanilla and hazelnut offered just that background favor to keep the tastebuds curious and the toasted mallow gave a hit of fire roasted burnt to the equation. Yes I'm complimenting myself but they have the ingredients on hand and mixed it. Kudos to them. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised how good the coffee is here. Moreover, the people are extremely friendly and the service is fast. At the window the lady was nice saying words from an ancient dialect like "please, thank you, you're welcome" and so on. It was refreshing. I highly recommend dropping by and ask them for the "Justin special" (you'll have to tell them b/c I'm more popular in my imagination than in real life. Enjoy!

The customer service was exceptional--friendly, fast, and welcoming from the moment we pulled up. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the drinks and food. It's conveniently located on the corner of North Rhett and Remount Road. We ordered the Caramelicious Peanut Butter Cup Latte with an extra shot of espresso, the Caramelicious Caramel Latte with an extra shot of espresso, and the Fudgelicious Latte with an extra shot of espresso. Every drink was rich, smooth, and packed with flavor. The extra espresso gave each latte the perfect boost without overpowering the delicious caramel, peanut butter, and chocolate flavors. We also ordered two sides of the all-beef mini sliders on pretzel buns, and they were surprisingly delicious! The sliders were juicy, flavorful, and the soft pretzel buns made them even better. They paired perfectly with our coffee drinks. Overall, Scooter's Coffee delivered amazing flavors, excellent customer service, and a quick, convenient drive-thru experience. We went around 9:30 on a Friday morning and even though there were quite a few people sitting inside the cafe, the patio was surprisingly empty. It was one of those perfect fall mornings where it was slightly chilly but lots of sunlight too. We spent a good hour here just making the most of the pretty surroundings, perfect weather and delicious drinks. If I ever find myself in Charleston again, there is no doubt that I will make my way to City Lights.

Due to unforeseen circumstances with my Whirlpool Washer, I have become one with Short Trip Laundromat, just a few doors down from #BCH. #BikerlifeCoffeeHaus offers specialty coffee and teas. Mr. Smoke told me the guidelines for #BCH: no profanity, no alcohol, and no DRAMA. After all, this is a family establishment. Mr. Smoke encouraged me to enjoy the moment and put my cell phone down. I told him, "I was doing important work for my Yelp Community and would put it down after a few pictures. #BCH has free WIFI, lots of charging stations, and comfortable seating, too. Mr. Smoke recommends "Megan Special. " The drink perfectly combines Java taste and chocolate and caramel sweetness without being overpowering. He also mentioned that wifi is powerful and a great place to network. One more thing: Mr. Smoke told me about a monthly event #BCH has to support the veterans and local law enforcement. There is no menu so if you're a coffee drinker like me you should already know what to order. There's Wi-Fi so come and grab a seat and do your work on your computer. They have several different flavors they can make hot or cold. They also have muffins and pastries that you can have with your cup of Joe. The owner Smoke is so nice. You can really tell he will make your coffee the way you want. They have some fun events coming up and I'm excited to get to go to them. Go check them out.
