This is the Race Tech front springs with the aluminum pipe Race Tech provided to make up for the 60 millimeters of missing coil.

Motorsports is a passion for me. Race Tech enjoys a reputation for producing quality products, so I thought. I purchased a pair of front springs for my Tenere 700 from Race Tech. The OEM front spring length is 420 millimeters. The front springs provided by Race Tech was 360 millimeters and included with the front springs was a 16 inch aluminum pipe. I called Race Tech and a really contentious (rude) woman responded to my inquiry. This amazingly rude woman told me I need to cut the aluminum pipe to make-up for the missing 60 millimeters of missing coiled front spring. Thinking I was crazy, because I know reducing the number of coils in the front spring with an aluminum pipe will reduce the amount of travel, I checked their web site and no mention of the 360 millimeter reduction to the 420 millimeter OEM front spring. The kicker here is, this very nice lady on the phone told me they do this to ALL Tenere 700's, even the Tenere's they prepare in their shop! As should be apparent, Race Tech has scammed me in the sale itself and I am certain they will try to scam me again when returning their unusable and substandard front fork springs. Simply stated,Race Tech front springs do not meet OEM standards necessary to maintain the minimum amount of travel provided by Yamaha's OEM front fork springs. Buyer Beware.

I cannot thank Richard enough for helping me! His patience! Product knowledge! Ability to simplify! All around 100/100 customer support. I've never done suspension before and his confidence that I could do was unmatched. Furthermore, the quality of the product is amazing and already feels completely different. I won't hesitate to order from them again in the future!

I purchased new internals to rebuild the front forks on my 796 monster. The parts were fine and everything in the kit worked and its a decent product for the price. I rebuilt the suspension myself so I did not have the same labor issues that other reviewers discuss.

The turnaround time for rebuilding a pair of Italian rear shocks was decent (3 weeks).

These guys talk a good talk. They're web site is a good one. My forks blew a seal after 5000 miles. Now they won't return my call.

My son and I were greeted by Louie at the front and he helped me out with the multiple questions I had and gave me the answers and advice I was looking for.

I was told the tires would arrive in about 3 days, but it ended up taking approximately two weeks. I ultimately paid $912.75 for the tires, tire installation, tube, and related charges. When I picked up the motorcycle, the shop had spent about two hours working on it and told me they had also adjusted the clutch, checked the fluids, and made sure the motorcycle was running properly. However, as soon as I started riding home, the motorcycle felt noticeably different and did not feel right. The next morning, the motorcycle would not start, and I found gasoline coming from the exhaust area. I had to take it to another mechanic for diagnosis. The mechanic found serious issues with the motorcycle, including a major fuel/carburetor problem and a coolant leak, and I was told the carburetor needed to be replaced. I am now facing another $700+ in repair costs, in addition to the $912.75 I already paid. What disappointed me the most was how the situation was handled. When I contacted Bill's, they told me they were not responsible because their job was only the tires. They also told me that the problem was my fault because I left the motorcycle's fuel control on. Rather than helping investigate what happened, I felt that the responsibility was immediately placed on me. I understand that a mechanical problem can sometimes be unrelated to previous service, and that is why I am having another mechanic properly diagnose the motorcycle. However, the fact that these problems appeared immediately after I picked up the motorcycle and that I am now facing significant additional expenses is extremely frustrating. I have receipts documenting the $912.75 payment and the work performed. I am disappointed with both the experience and the way my concerns were handled. I am now pursuing other options to determine what happened and whether I can recover some of these costs.
