Less than a hour later they were done. $25.80 including tax and they had repaired the tire. This would have been the perfect opportunity to charge a small fortune but they didn't. Honest people. Took our 2013 wrangler in for an oil change. when we got our vehicle back after ricing we noticed oil underneath where we park. Upon inspection there was oil leaking from our engine that had covered the undercarriage of the vehicle and upon checking the oil we seen that it was drastically overfilled by as much as 3 inches past full on the dipstick. So we check out other vehicle that racetrack had also done a recent oil change in only to find it too had been drastically overfilled but luckily didn't damage any seals or gaskets. When we called racetrack we got a run around about how they have 30 plus years experience and couldn't make such a mistake. *I don't believe it was a mistake and believe they do this intentionally to cause damage in hopes that naive customers will come to them for the repairs. Furthermore, just Prior to these botched oil changes we laid them for changing bland actuator doors on our Jeep only to have the problem persist, upon calling them regarding this they gave an excuse to at they used aftermarket parts and should had used oem and if we paid them more money they would order the correct parts and change them. We decided to not let them have our vehicle back and go to a different mechanic which was when we found out the blend doors we were charged for had not even been changed. read more

This is really a 2.5 rating. While en route to VA for a softball tournament, our car stalled in Berlin. My two kids and I took a Lyft here due to the recommendation of AAA. Hubby waited for the tow. Inside had a very clean and comfortable waiting area. Once the car arrived and discussion about a ticket being opened, the experience was not 5 stars. The blonde woman behind the desk, although pleasant, stated they would not be able to look at our car until Friday. Hubby asked if he could purchase a battery at least because he was hoping it was the battery only. The lady was nice enough to hand him a jumper box and said good luck. While he was outside, the male employee came outside with another customer. My hubby was able to jump the battery successfully. He then asked for his professional opinion as to it possibly being the alternator or just the battery. He answered that it sounded like the battery. So my husband then asked where we can go around the area to attend to this concern as we needed to get to get to VA and couldn't wait until Friday. The man stated that the local spots are in the same boat and are looking to get out at 5pm for closing. What!? Who says that!? At no time while I was waiting in the waiting area was I told they wouldn't be taking a look until Friday. We had at least 2-3 hours before 5pm. We left there and headed to Auto Zone. We bought a battery after it was tested. The alternator was also tested. Thankfully it was just the battery. I am just beyond disappointed in the lack of concern for a family of four traveling from out of town. Definitely didn't feel the southern hospitality I know the South maintains. read more

I had an unexpected issue with my truck the day I was leaving the beach and a friend recommended calling Racetrack for service in the area. I did not have an appointment when I arrived and although they were busy from the weekend they took into consideration my situation "that I needed to get on the road back home" and moved around the schedule to accommodate me. They were courteous, attentive, professional and most importantly they did not take advantage of me and overcharge me or recommend any unnecessary repairs. They did inform me of some repairs that will be needed down the road for my local mechanic to take care of which I appreciated. Troy at Racetrack Auto Repair (Berlin MD} went way above expectations. I had my 96 Ford Windstar worked on in CT before we traveled to Ocean City. It had a transmition cooler line leak. When we got to OC it started to leak badly. It had a new radiator put in. Troy at racetrack auto repair spent a lot of time to call my mechanic in CT to find the best solution to get me and my family back to CT.
