I was looking for a new salad spot. I decided to try Rachel's kitchen. I got the pear arugula salad with chicken. It was a really good size. There was quite a bit of chicken, pecans, pears, and cheese on top so it was well proportioned. The salad was fresh. This was a very green tasting salad with the vinaigrette. I stopped by Rachel's Kitchen on Hualapai for a light lunch today. I wasn't hungry enough for a whole sandwich so I inquired whether a half sandwich was available. The hostess explained various combo options for a half sandwich. I ordered a half Albacore sandwich on toasted Sourdough bread. It came with a side so I tried the sweet potato fries. It was all very fresh, light and healthy. My bill was $8.10. Very good value for such good food. I called the order in and they told me 15min wait over the phone. There were only 3 groups in the restaurant. I paid they said it wasn't ready. It took 40 min for them to make 1 wrap. They didn't even call my order when it was ready I had to walk up and ask. Not sure how long it was sitting on the pass. read more

Rachel's Kitchen is a small healthier fast food option. I was craving a watermelon juice while I was shopping in Summerlin today, so I immediately found Rachel's Kitchen on Yelp and ventured on over. It's in a small strip mall off of Desert Springs, right next to the Starbucks. I wish I would have looked at the menu before ordering my watermelon juice. The sandwiches and the salads look absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back for one of the Caesar salad wraps. Everything looked fresh and the service was fast. Got the chicken tenders wrap and hawaiian bliss smoothie (pineapple coconut banana) + added protein with a bag of chips as an included side. Amazing quality, they've been here as long as I can remember since I grew up in this area and the quality hasn't faltered. They are a little pricey, both ran me about $30 total including a small tip for taking it to the patio but I think it's worth it if you're looking for a refreshing light lunch with more nutritional value than fast food - because let's face it, you'll spend just as much there too now! The turkey club was good however the real standout was the BBQ chicken wrap. It was packed with flavor, super juicy, and had the perfect balance of sauce and crunch from the lettuce. I was in town on business and my friend took me to this place for lunch. I got very sick as soon as I finished, when I got back to my hotel I was on the toilet bowl most of the night. I think I got food poisoning some bad bacteria I guess maybe my chicken wasn't cooked fully some bad bacteria I bet. I noticed the plates outside where people eat they leave the plates and utensils on the table for a long time and I saw a ton of birds walking on the dishes and tables and eating from the left over food on the plates!! They should clean the dishes from the outside tables ASAP and wash them maybe triple times to clean up any bird diereses or germs, the birds were walking all over the plates it was crazy. Disgusting! If I lived in town I would def report this to the health dept but since I'll never be back I don't care but just beware eating there as all I can say. If my DR says I have some kind of bird flu I'll be suing this place that's for sure. read more
