First time visiting California Pizza Kitchen in Las Vegas, and it had probably been close to a decade since I'd eaten at one. I met up with a group for lunch and we requested patio seating. The host told us there wasn't room for a party of six outside, even though I could clearly see a four top that could have easily accommodated us with a couple extra chairs or a small table added. Instead, we were seated in a large booth. They started us off with complimentary bread served with olive oil and oregano, which was a nice touch. For an appetizer, we ordered the dumplings. They were very saucy and on the salty side. My oldest ordered the lunch special with tomato basil soup and spaghetti. The tomato basil soup was flavorful, especially paired with the bread, but the spaghetti was a little dry and could have used more sauce. I was also surprised that Parmesan cheese wasn't offered. The kids' pepperoni pizza was a good size, although drinks and sides are not included and must be purchased separately. Service was decent overall, but it took quite a while for someone to take our order and for the food to arrive. Along with Chicken Piccata, Avocado eggrolls and the spinach and artichoke dip. All the pizzas were as described, though the crust was spectacular the rest was ok at best. The chicken piccata was the best thing we had, which is saying a lot. The avocado eggrolls were somewhat odd tasting and the spinach dip was lukewarm when it got to us. Had lunch here after my son's lacrosse game. Ashley took care of us. We sat at the bar top tables for quicker seating. She did a good job. It was my youngest son's bday and he had no idea we told Ashley our server it's his bday. He was so surprised. I got the burger in a bowl. It reminded me of a Big Mac with no buns. Dressing not as sweet as Big Mac sauce. I added Tabasco sriracha and finished it all. I enjoyed it a lot. My youngest got the kids cheese pizza. He loved it. He ate a majority of it. My middle son got the burnt ends pizza. He loved it but could only finish half. My oldest son got the bbq chicken pizza. He loved it and ate more than half. My wife got the zucchini shrimp scampi. I do love a redemption story! Happy 2026 yelpies! We wanted to enjoy some CPK so we decided to come back to this location and we are so happy we did! From the minute we walked in until we paid the bill everything was great! Nice greeting at the door and we were asked if a small booth in the bar area was ok and we said yes and were sat immediately. Our server greeted us with warm bread and olive oil. And took our drink order right away. She was pleasant and attentive our whole lunch without being intrusive. The bar area wasn't too loud so we enjoyed conversations. The food was really good! Buffalo cauliflower to start. Hubbs had his usual kung pao spaghetti with added chicken and I chose a lunch size Thai chicken salad. Everything came out fresh and delicious! The restaurant was clean and inviting and the restroom was also clean. I love that the sink is outside the door so the small restroom doesn't get crowded. Havent been to a CPK in years, so I had such low expectations. It was really good! The service was a bit slow, but our server was really nice. I'm not a big pizza person myself, but I will enjoy a good slice every now and then. My husband and kids loved the pizzas. We got a mushroom pizza and the works. We unanimously loved the mushroom. With white cheese and fragrant mushrooms it was my favorite. The works had some slightly spicy sausages which my kids were not a fan of, but otherwise it was okay. I loved the complimentary bread with balsamic vinegar, and it was a life saver with hangry kids at the table. We also ordered the butter cake served with hagan dazs ice cream. My husband had steak skewers that were also burnt and dry. The waitress was fine. We were charged for all of it even though I only had a couple of bites of mine and he ate less than half of his. I had a really hard time finding it due to my maps app, taking me all over the mall. It was well worth it, though I had the eggplant Parmesan sandwich and it was absolutely worth the wait. We have dined and ordered takeout here many many times. Make sure you sign up for the rewards program to get coupons or free apps. Service is good, never exceptional. Food is good. Last time we came, I ordered elote corn, shiitake peppers, mushroom pizza and Cesar salad. The salad was not good. Ambiance is casual and lots of room. My kids and I left to go to the restroom and when we got back to our table, they were cleaning it off and threw away our to go bag. Great service! Michael has been our server for almost every time we are here. We mostly sit at the bar and this guy never stop moving. Makes our experience super special as he's always attentive. I would really give it a 1 star review however the grilled chicken was decent so that is the only reason why i give it 2 stars. As we came in, we were greeted and sat very quickly at a very uncomfortable table since all the booths were taken. I noticed he asked us to sign up for an account with them using a QR code but i guess since we already had an account we noticed he started brushing us off after that?? He was only there to place our order and bring the check, no check ups or anything in between. Anyways, i ordered the Soup + salad combo $9.99 + added chicken breast on the side, the soup which was the tomato basil bisque was quite good, as well as the Italian chopped salad i mainly really liked the way they seasoned and grilled the chicken - however the salad seriously needed more vinaigrette as the vinaigrette was mainly over the chicken and not actually on the salad. Definitely asked another waitress if she could kindly bring extra vinaigrette and bread, she did, because our actual server was no where to be found ! We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip and it was not looking fresh at all.. This was my first visit to this location and it was a great one. The atmosphere is fantastic and the location is superb. Really close to parking, so not a far hike. Our server was very friendly and attentive, always checking in on us throughout our stay. I was craving a margarita that day but I didn't want a lot of alcohol, so I asked them to go easy on the tequila. When I took my first sip, I said to myself, "Yup. They didn't listen." But I was able to finish the entire thing without a single buzz. Not sure how they made it so good with very little alcohol, but I was a happy camper! The lunch menu is amazing. I went with the sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom pizza and the Caesar salad and both were delish! Not a single complaint on this first visit! And they do accept tap to pay, you just have to ask. I forgot a certain credit card at home that I wanted to use and all I had to do was ask, and I was able to use tap to pay. It's been several years since I last visited a CPK. My family and I decided to go to California Pizza Kitchen for a rescheduled Mother's Day brunch on a Sunday, around 11:00 A.M. This California Pizza Kitchen is located in Downtown Summerlin, next to Maggianos. There are plenty of parking spaces available. As soon as we walked in, a team member was able to get us seated with a party of 8. Drinks were provided, water, lemonade, and a cranberry refresher! While we had our drinks, we placed some appetizers first! AVOCADO CLUB EGG ROLLS Hand-wrapped crispy wonton rolls filled with avocado, chicken, tomato, Monterey Jack and Applewood smoked bacon. WHITE CORN GUACAMOLE + CHIPS Chunky avocado, sweet corn, jicama, red onions, fresh cilantro, and spicy serrano peppers. Tortilla chips. After waiting about 15 minutes, it really started to get busy inside California Pizza Kitchen. We had to wait a while for our team member to come back over to our table and place the order. I ended up splitting with my husband [2] different pizzas for our entrees. THE ORIGINAL BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA BBQ sauce, smoked, Gouda, red onions, and fresh cilantro SICILIAN Spicy marinara, Italian sausage, Capicola ham, pepperoni, Mozzarella, Queso Quesadilla, shaved Parmesan, fresh basil, and wild Greek oregano When the appetizers arrived, I opened up the silverware set. The fork was dirty with dried food on it. When the team member came back around, I asked for a fork replacement and showed him the utensil. From that moment on, everything started to go downhill. We all started to notice these black little bugs flying around our appetizers. They were landing on the food! No matter how many times we were trying to swat the bugs away! We had informed the team member, but nothing was done, unfortunately. He was pretty busy going to a lot of different tables! We tried to eat some of the appetizers that were untouched from the bugs. The white corn guacamole lacked seasoning. It tasted like avocado. It wasn't mashed up well or mixed with the other ingredients. The avocado club egg rolls were decent. After 30 minutes, the entrees arrived. The original BBQ chicken pizza was good! The dough wasn't burnt. There were plenty of large chicken pieces on top of the pizza! There was just enough BBQ sauce on it as well! We wouldn't order the Sicilian pizza again. The marinara sauce was bland, and you didn't get much flavoring from the cheeses or seasonings. The best part about CPK was dessert, though! I had ordered the butter cake with vanilla ice cream on top!! It was delicious! The vanilla ice cream mixed with the freshly baked and warm butter cake was yummy! It was a difficult experience trying to keep the bugs off of our food! It's a beautiful restaurant, though! After walking around the Downtown Summerlin Farmers Market on a Saturday, we stopped in for lunch. It's been a while since I've ate at a CPK, and we had a nice lunch. I had the BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad, half order and it was great. Along with chicken, it has corn, black beans, cilantro, basil, jicama, tomatoes. tortilla strips, and cheese. The half order was the perfect amount for me. The rest of my family got salads as well and they all enjoyed theirs. Service was amazing. We waited a few minutes to be seated. We had an infant who was sleeping in a stroller, so they were clearing a table where the stroller could slide in and out of the way, right next to our table. We didn't even have to ask the hostess about the stroller. Our server was the best, helpful, kind, and super attentive. He always had our drinks filled and checked on us. As we were leaving I realized I didn't have my sunglasses and went back to find them. He saw me lifting napkins, looking for them and came over to help. He found them, on the floor under the table. Came to Happy Hour today on a whim and also because this location had been my go to spot for years now. I was greeted immediately when I sat down at the bar w/ a lady friend of mine. SHEENA was our server and she was ! Very friendly and very stealthy in her service. She made excellent recommendations of the buffalo cauliflower and the shrimp, (both an excellent choice). She helped me sign up for your rewards program and was just a pleasure to do business with. I had no idea this place is fun to go to!! It's in summerlin outside mall a lot of parking nearby also ballet nearby. I go to the California pizza place in the fashion Mall. I even went to a few areas in California lol I had no idea this spot was really fun to go to, the menu is very appetizing and easy, the atmosphere is different from all the other places. And the place is very huge! All the servers and people we interact with are so amazing! Our server went to visit us in a full house and kept our glass full. I should have took more pictures but the food was that great I had to get right to it and eat. At the end of the tunnel they give us some complimentary envelopes not to open until we return so just have me curious I never seen this in marketing organization. We come here to get our fix often. The staff is always really friendly and quick. Even if there's a line outside they get you seated in a fair amount of time. This is my fave place for gluten free pizza. It is better than the regular pizza. The Margherita pizza was great. We also ordered the Szechwan Chicken Dumplings which had a great cilantro and scallion flavor. The wonton skin was a little thick and doughy though. The Dynamite Shrimp was fried and sauced to perfection. The Tomato Basil Bisque is always good. We had the food delivered this time.
