Charged me 17 dollars for a pita listed for 13 dollars didn't get anything extra. It's whatever it 4 dollars I'm not mad or upset over 4 dollars. the older lady employee comes up as I'm saying to my husband that I got charged more then what was listed; she says is there a problem like all aggressively like I'm going to argue over 4 dollars. I said nothing it's all fine. (Cause maybe it was miscommunication it's whatever) we asked if we can eat on the patio then locked us out there so we had to walk all the way around. No trash can back there either. Will definitely not be back here at all. Very unfriendly atmosphere there. Pita gourmet would never. This is the second time dealing with that older lady too. Fast friendly service. Good portion size at a decent price. Food looked and tasted fresh. I got the souvlaki chicken rice bowl topped with all the fixings including feta, tomato, lettuce, cukes, onion, banana peppers and kalamata olives with tzaziki and garlic sauce on the side for $13.95. I was so excited to try this after hearing so many good things. Nope. I will say they are very friendly but I specifically asked if the chicken was on the dry side - and they even let me try a small piece beforehand which seemed okay but what I brought home - SO DRY! I had a spring mix bowl with chicken and other veggies - the picture is about 1/3 of the salad. The pita - meh - not great. The portions are huge but I can't eat the protein so I ended up throwing out most of it. I'd suggest using dark meat chicken or ground chicken and cooking it with some olive oil to help retain the moisture. I will not be back. I paid $17 for inedible food. read more

Second order from this restaurant. The first was beef and lamb rice bowl was very good the beef was tender small bite size morsels over rice with hummus. My second order was good just not as great as my first. Chicken shawarma was flavorful but the morsels of chicken were dry everything else was good the rice and hummus. The second chicken meal came with tasty grilled veggies that were delicious. I felt there should of been more of the veggies. I enjoyed the meal and would order again. Growing pains....eh???? I went to this Rachel's location and left deeply dissappointed. For starters let me just say that I frequently Rachel's almost on the daily. As a student and employee at UB I was deeply saddened when they closed the location on campus. So when they built a new location within walking distance of my house I could not have been any happier. There was a manager who was covering the line as no staff members were available. To be candid, he had no clue what he was doing and wasn't afraid to admit so. For starters his slow pace was frustrating because while I was the only person in the store I spent over 20 minutes waiting while he balanced talking with staff, making my food, and answer phone calls. For two meals I ended up spending nearly 39 bucks and the food was hardly edible. It will be a while before I decide to return. I will give them time to get their things in order. read more

I was hesitant to try this new location of Rachel's bc of the negative reviews I saw, and being that it's super close to my house I decided to try it anyways ....and I have to say I disagree! I've had Rachel's many times from many different locations, and this one is in my opinion one of the better locations. I've had take out from this location twice and I have yet to be disappointed. The lady working the counter has been super friendly, both times I've gone. Maybe other times the employees aren't as great!? I've gone mid day during the week. I get a rice bowl with Rachel's rice and chicken shawarma and sauces on this side. Sauces come in little cups, but you can also get the sauce on your meal. I would agree that the garlic sauce isn't as garlicky as you'd like. But doesn't hinder the overall meal. I think that if you like Rachel's this location is consistent with others. Placed an order through their website and when I arrived they said they were out of everything and that I'd need to call to get a refund. Not great. This was on 4/8/2023. On several occasions our orders have been missing sauces and pitas which I only discovered once I got home. The staff is often rude and acts as thought I'm inconveniencing them whenever I enter the door. I really enjoy the food, but I'll never give any Rachel's restaurant my business. read more

After about two years of steady patronage at Rachels, I have now come to the end - today was the final time. Rachels now has at least four to five locations in the Northtowns. Between the Transit Road, Niagara Falls Boulevard and Sheridan Drive locations, they are all managed identically. The staff is young and ranges in behavior from surly to quietly uncaring. Not once have I ever been greeted, welcomed or made to feel at all appreciated. The "service" is lackluster, at best. The portions and cost of the food have become totally divergent. A bowl of chicken souvlaki salad (two years ago) with fresh veggies, rice, cheese and pita has now increased in price from $11.00 to $16.00. The serving bowls have been scaled down in size at least twice and the staff begrudgingly doles out actually five to seven little pieces of chopped veggies each. The serving of chicken is one spoonfull and dare I ask for more, am shamed and advised that it will be "extra." They rarely include the pita that goes with it and I have had to ask for it up to three times before I get what I paid for. Ironically, they sell the same pita portion for $1.00 each. Beware, if you take out, you will most likely pay them for NOT getting your pita. It is their own version of the "five fingered reverse discount." In addition to not getting enough to eat, Rachels always is missing many of the normal items in their salad. Today, they had none of the roasted veggies. Normally, they are out of tomatoes, banana peppers, onions and on and on. No offer to have a double serving of any other item to compensate, you just get zippo. They charge handsomely for a beverage. They have eliminated lids for all fountain beverges, so you can expect to spill them easily, perhaps on yourself, the floor or the table. The ambiance is that of a refrigerator - freezing in the summer, no music, no happiness and is usually empty, particularly at dinner time. IF you arrive and there is a line, plan to wait lots of time because ALL of the counterstaff is preparing take out orders while ignoring the people standing there. No acknowledgment of your presence or thanking anyone for their patience. The tables are usually filthy and the bathrooms are on the edge of disgusting. Why did I continue to go? The ingredients are fresh and made there. Until today, I have chosen to ignore the many negative Yelp feedbacks echoing what I just complained about. Dirty, missing ingredients and more. NOW I am done. When I specifically addressed the meager serving to the counter person, I was advised that they are to dole out (literally) five to seven little chopped pieces of any vegetable. I addressed my displeasure and said that this was my LAST visit to any Rachels. The manager, server, etc. merely turned away and left the counter. Not valued? Not appreciated and not needed - beware all customers. If you allow Rachels to not want happy customers, they have done their job well. The mark of any establishment going out of business is when they cheat their customers of an enjoyable experience. Going out and taking out is a luxury. Shame on you Rachels, shame on you for not caring and getting away with it. A newly NON customer. Au revoir. read more

Food is good here as other Rachael's, but the counter service person was very rude. We asked to split our bowl into 2 as one bowl is too much for us. We were rudely told that it would just be too hard to do. When my wife asked for dressings, he curtly answered we could have any we want. We asked for a piece of pita bread and were told it was $1.50 extra. It has been provided free at other Rachael's. I will gladly drive a little farther to Niagara Falls Blvd. location next time even though I live around the corner from this one. Never will I visit this location again! read more

I finally got around to trying Rachel's after seeing them around for ages. First: I ordered on the app for pickup & they forgot to put silverware& napkins- my fault for not checking but it made it difficult to eat the rice bowl. First off: the food is definitely aimed at people who think water is too spicy. There was no flavor at all in my chicken shawarma bowl. The sauce on the side was a tiny package of franks. I would have been upset if I had paid 75¢ for what was the size of a McDonalds ketchup package. The garlic sauce was lacking any sort of garlic flavor. There was a good amount of vegetables on the bowl. Fries? Skip them. Unless you like soggy unsalted fries. The Tzatziki Sauce was acceptable. Pita bread was yet another disappointment. Granted I grew up with the late Pete's Lebanese bakery as the standard for Pita bread but the here was an afterthought. In short: there are way better options for Mediterranean food in the area. Over 20 years of conducting office lunches in the medical industry, this was the most disappointing experience I have ever had. Ordered online the night before for 11:20am pick up. 10 chicken & 10 beef Souvlaki plates. I arrived at 11:25 and the meat wasn't even on the grill yet. I was 20 minutes away from where I needed to be, ECMC and started handing me boxes at 11:55 to put into carts I had brought. I packed up and asked if I was all set and was told yes. I walked out of the restaurant across the parking lot and loaded everything into my truck. 15 minutes later I received a call from the restaurant that I had received the full order. The woman was yelling at me, asking why I left. In told her I was told it was set and she continued to yell asking who told me that? For Christ's sake, there were only 3 people working. I told her I didn't have time to argue and hung up. She called me back 10 minutes later, still yelling that I needed to come back to get the food. I told her I had a meeting with surgeons, and I had to get to the office asap as I was already late. I texted her the address because she said she would deliver. Well, she got lost on campus and a staff member hopped in her car to get her to me at 12:50. I met her outside where she continued to yell at me, in front of others, asking me who told me the order was set. There's 3 people working and if it's not you, it's one of the other two. Got the rest of the order upstairs, everything was cold, and all the dressings and sauces had opened and spilled into the bag. Never again!!!!!!! read more
