I've only visited Rad Coffee maybe 2x total. I always drive by it and should probably make more trips here. The location is in downtown Covina and parking is available out front, but there's a big lot behind the building. I always love their logo and decor inside the coffee shop. They have a wide variety of coffee and specialty drinks on their menu. They offer build your own drink options and cereal chiller drinks. Not to mention, seasonal and/or monthly drinks. The staff here have been cool each time I have visited. They are friendly and work efficiently fast. The location has so much to offer. They have merch, mugs, and sweets to grab if you have a craving. The aesthetics are very unique and during Halloween time they deck the whole place. The cool part of Rad Coffee is they have pinball machines to play in the back of the location. As far as the drinks. They are delicious. I needed some coffee so I went with the Salty Caramel with oat milk. The drink was ready in about 2-3 minutes. The drink has good level of sweetness and the right amount of caffeine. The boost I needed to get through a busy work day. :D Overall, Rad Coffee has always been well known in Covina and I recommend anyone to come by and visit this one of a kind Coffee shop. Stumbled upon this spot randomly and turned out to be an amazing little coffee shop! Cold brews are fantastic and the cereal drinks are delicious as well. Highly recommend the peanut butter crunch and will be back soon to try the other cereal drinks. There's also some pinball machines in the back to keep you busy while you wait. Lovely staff!! 10/10

Cool service with great coffee. Tucked away in downtown Covina, I stopped by after lunch in the area. Service was very friendly and I got my drink really quickly even though it was mildly busy. I ordered a vanilla latte, half sweet. The prices are good here and the coffee is very bold in flavor without being too acidic. I enjoyed it a lot definitely recommend!

LIKE TOTALLY RAD COFFEE!! This place is a fun punk themed coffee shop with delicious coffee! What makes it so RAD is the pinball machines! I am a pinball enthusiast so I loved this. We ordered a hot and iced latte with oatmilk and coconut syrup. The coffee was delicious. The store sells a lot of merch. I did find it odd that there was no inside or outside seating. For me personally the pinball machines made up for it but I think that might be a problem for some people.

I've seen rad coffee on IG for a while now and have finally made my way to trying it. Ordered the Spanish latte and enjoyed it. We asked for less sweet and I would honestly order it again. We were pleasantly surprised with the pin ball machines in the back! They had a nice collection of them and I was glad they had a machine where we could get change. I will say that it did feel odd inside with amount of random things you could buy, from stickers to mugs, sweaters to other snacks, and more. Like maybe there used to be tables and chairs inside? But they replaced it with all the stuff they're trying to sell. The placement of the merch stuff makes it so awkward, almost like someone just said hey let's just set all this stuff up and see if it sells without considering flow. Idk. Kind of a shame, I would have considered working on my laptop there if that meant I'd be able to take breaks and lose all my dollar bills to the pin ball machines with a cup of Spanish latte. Would I grab another latte if I was in the area? Sure. Would I go out of my way to get it? Nah.

This cafe is nice and it's cool for anybody to experience as a first time. I don't have pictures of the drinks, but they did have a variety of unique drinks that range from refreshers, frappes, coffees, etc. This cafe is also very artsy, they have nice art on the wall, merch, and even cool retro games to play. However, I do wish this place had a dine in or outdoor dine out as well at least, it's more of a get and go type of cafe where you can walk around and look at the atmosphere and the vibes are cool too as well. I thinks it's worth it to stop by and experience it at least once for anyone :)

Coffee is great and prices are about eh...fair. A cookie is about $5 and I believe it's home made style. If you like the rock, goth style this is your place. It's in Downtown Covina and parking can be a bit challenging on a Friday night. Service is good and attentive. The menu is interesting. It's intriguing if you have a curious mind.

Lattes are 90% ice and 10% espresso and milk. I wanted to like it so I asked for a remake and the latte in the photo is the second drink they gave me with "less ice". Broke two straws trying to get them through the ice in the drink? Kind of let this ruin my day. Two stars tho for the customer service, I appreciate the remake! Sorry, I just didn't like the way they make their drinks here :/ Watery lattes

Either rad fell off , or my taste buds elevated. Got the white mocha , SUPER sweet with no hint of coffee . We also asked for easy sweet . I'd say if you like your drinks very sweet you will like this place , as for me I do prefer the coffee taste . Still give it a chance if it's your first time, It's a Cool place and atmosphere & interesting merch to browse/ purchase.

I was looking for a new coffee house to visit in the area a few weeks back and found Rad in my search results and was immediately drawn to their aesthetic. Like some of the other reviewers have mentioned, Rad knows who they are and they have put a lot of effort into making themselves unique--and that uniqueness is apparent from the decor, to the merch, to the coffee itself and I'm definitely sold. When I went, I got myself a Peanut Butter Crunch--one of their "cereal chillers"--and it was exactly as described: a sickly sweet, yet strong, frappucino-style coffee with some peanut butter thrown in (and some very messy black whipped cream). In terms of its contents, I would say that the price point feels fair at $6 and some change for a 16 oz with a lot of flair. My money felt like it was going a little further here than it would have at a big chain coffee house. If nothing else, Rad is a fun experience and a place to take some friends when they come in from out of town--or a great place to pick up a fun gift for someone who likes coffee and the particular brand Rad is sporting. It might not be the right fit if you're looking for coffee as a means to get through your day, but it is definitely a spot to hit up when you're looking for a tasty pick-me-up out in Covina. I went today around 11:15-20pm tonight and I had the best experience ever. I was helped by the nicest gentleman that had a beard. He was so helpful and answered all of our questions without being bothered by it. The rest of the staff were also awesome they made our drinks quick and they were delicious. Honestly great experience all around can't wait to go back! read more

I really appreciate the workers and my drink comes out fairly quickly. The ambiance is really cool as there are pinball machines and that's always fun. My only criticism is I have ordered the same drink on different occasions (iced white mocha) and the taste is not consistent. Some days it tastes really strong, other times really sweet and sometimes in between. When it's great, it's great but the measurements taste different every time. Otherwise a cool spot. read more

Okay, ima be REAL honest. The coffee isn't good guys!I'm going to say most people like going here because of the punk / horror aesthetic they got going??? Because if we are talking strictly coffee, this ain't it! Seriously, I've tried at least 4 or 5 different drinks ( lattes, iced coffees) both and this location and upland location and I have yet to find a drink that I like AND that I can finish. The coffee is kinda watered down and taste weird and the drinks are just too sweet!! The customer service at this location is great but the coffee is a no for me! I love punk and I love coffee but that doesn't mean you'll catch me here! read more

I loved the grunge atmosphere and skeleton artwork. The idea of the place is super fun! It was starting to get crowded so I didn't really get a chance to look at the menu before I ordered. I told the barista I really enjoyed chai tea and espresso so she recommended the Spanish Latte with Oat milk. I really enjoyed the coffee, it was exactly the taste I was looking for! The barista was super friendly and made such a great recommendation that I look forward to coming back for more of their coffee. read more

My three favorite things. Horror, pinball and coffee. What a cool place. Menu is extensive and the staff was very informative and polite. I travel ALOT for work and I'm always on the look out for non "Starbucks" options for my coffee fix. This place made me one of the best Americanos I've ever drank. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Wide variety of selections from coffee to blended drinks to teas and lemonades. Nice little pinball section in the back with incredibly convenient cup holders while you enjoy your drink. Baristas know their stuff. Don't be afraid to ask for a recommendation or let them get creative and make a custom drink based on your likes! read more

Absolutely love their spooky coffees! I just wish there was one closer. Would love to see one in North Hollywood, Hollywood, Northridge, San Fernando, any one of these areas would be awesome! As of right now it's about an hour and 20 minutes from me but it was worth the drive. Can't do it all the time but for their specials I would do it again. read more

Was nice to see this indy coffee shop take over the once Starbucks location. I decided to pop in and give it a try. I appreciated the punk rock theme and the cool branding as you enter. I ordered a iced coffee as I am not a fan of overly sweet drinks. It was good. If you like dessert style coffee drinks, I recommend those as they seemed to be popular. My good friend recommended Rad Coffee a few months ago. I first tried the Latte and immediately RC became my favorite coffee house and pinball hangout. The latte was best I ever tasted. It had the perfect taste and is prepared with hands of an angel. Recently I tried the Green Tea Frankenstein and its effects hit me like a lighting bolt from the sky. My tastebuds were dancing in green monster heaven for hours. The Monster Mash!! The Frankenstein is made with Matcha green tea, vanilla mint, chocolate chips and topped with Oreos. Luckily my skin didn't turn green like Frankenstein or anything like that. RC has a delicious variety of coffee, teas, lemonades, specialty and seasonal drinks. I enthusiastically rate Rad Coffee FIVE stars for exceptional coffee, drinks, friendly customer service staff, some of the best baristas in the SGV area, the punk concert posters, the merchandise and overall trendy ambiance. read more

This is definitely one of my new favorite local coffee shops! I found this place through tiktok and I've been meaning to go but I finally tried today and I was so happy with the drink i ordered! I ordered an iced vanilla latte w/ oatmilk and my friend ordered the cookies n scream (one of their specialty blended cereal chillers). If you prefer drinks on the sweeter side, I would HIGHLY recommend their specialty blended drinks, it was SO good!! My iced vanilla latte was also really good, I loved that it wasn't too sweet but also not too bitter. So happy that i found another cafe to go to close to my school! read more

Let me start off by admitting that I am indeed addicted to coffee. I am admitting this knowing darn well I'll probably be judged by it, and do I care? Absolutely not. So naturally like any druggy I have a high tolerance and a need to find my fix. Tried the cinnamon crunch (hot) and it was intoxicatingly delicious. First time going to this location in Covina. Love the area and I think it was a perfect place to put it. The inside area is huge and a great place to chill with your friends while having a drink. Of course I had to buy some Astro Tarts, my new fave snack. And this time I tried the lavender chai latte with soy milk, recommended by my cousin, and I wasn't disappointed. It tasted SO good. I even bought another drink for the road, the OG Campfire. There's honestly soooo much more I wanna try but I have to say the Lavender Chai was my favorite. read more

Not sure what happened here. Went from great service to rude employees. The manager wanted to charge individually for each ingredient in a drink on the menu. This would be fine if the price added up to what the menu said. When I brought it up I was told the old staff was fired because they didn't input it this way. Pay attention to your total. I have a feeling weights and measures will be in to correct this since the managers no help. read more

I have the privilege of working in downtown. Being able to walk down the street to one of my favorite coffee shops is a blessing. I used to always drive 30-40 minutes to the Upland location and now they've opened in Covina! Always stop by before work and get a hot Chai Tea Latte, a cereal chiller or the lemonades. I'm so relieved that another coffee shop filled the space where that starbucks used to be, because we definitely needed one. i actually had no idea this place was set up until my sister suggested we walk over and give it a try. it goes without saying that i'm glad we did! it's very cute inside, it's set up almost identically to the starbucks that was there before, they've just spruced up the counters with some flame decals and gave everything a paint job. they have new items to buy, like bagged coffee, tshirts and mugs. I was tempted to buy some of the coffee so i'll have to do that next time! i ordered a dirty chai tea latte (one espresso shot) and it was delicious. i would absolutely order that again! It didn't leave me jittery with heart palpitations throughout the day so that was a plus as well lol. my sister ordered one of the cold brews, can't remember which flavor but she did note that it was good but needed a bit of sweetener (obviously not the coffee shop's fault, she could've asked for some). That lemon lavender latte is something i'm looking forward to trying, as well as the cold brew hot chocolate and various other menu items. i had a great experience @ Rad Coffee and look forward to returning soon! read more

My favorite coffee shop! Punk and horror movie themed? Pinball? Delicious coffee? Super rad baristas (especially Bashie)? Yes! I've gone in many times since they opened and even though I stick to drip coffee or cold brew normally I can't help but order one of their themed monthly specials. The Stranger Things menu was delicious. Usually coffee places like this don't have good coffee, as in actual hot black drip coffee. But Rad even has that locked down. Lately I've been doing anything over ice, baristas choice. It's always good but Bashie kills it every time. Something about the whipped cream/coconut/caramel thing she does. Plus she always is super friendly and sweet. read more

Cute spot, great coffee, large menu options with size options. My peeve for coffee places is the forced one size for $5. I don't mind paying more but I want size options and lots of craft drinks that stand out and Match your theme. This place doesn't disappoint. Friendly service and you can get merch, sit in hand chairs and people watch downtown W. Covina. Loved the cookies and scream with espresso and I got a cold brew can for later. Been going to Rad Coffee's Upland location for about 3 years now, glad they got a 2nd location that's closer-ish! I went here on opening weekend and they looked like they had a good system, they also kept the same vibe and now there's room to socially distant, if you are familiar with the upland location you know what I mean. They got 2 bathrooms, free parking on the street, clean store and good vibes definitely recommend! My favorite drink is zombie lemonade they can never make it wrong!! I love this coffee!!! I happened across this coffee house about 6 months ago and have been addicted ever since. Their coffee is delicious and they boost several varieties of hot and cold drinks, in fact, they also have almond syrup, which not many coffee houses have. It makes a great Latte! They are consistently delicious. I also love the Horror movie inspired atmosphere, it's pretty cool! The staff is very professional and very accommodating. Well worth the extra few miles added to my commute. read more

I got into this place because of my bf and honestly it's the best thing that's happened to me because of the monster shakes especially the Dracula which is my favorite because it's not too heavy on the red velvet in addition to the black whipped cream on top which turns my tongue black all the time. They have shirts and socks and also coffee beans which is amazing ! They have monthly seasonal drinks in addition to that they have pin hall machines that you can play with while waiting for your drinks. It's near a lot of food places and it's in the heart of downtown Covina which is nice to walk around sometime. read more

This place is where the old Starbucks used to be in downtown Covina, on Citrus. I really liked this place, it was a refreshing change from my usual coffee place, everyone greeted us when we walked in, wasn't sure what I wanted so I told them what I liked and they custom made me a delicious frappe! I'll be hitting this place up more often! I liked the fun beachy, punk- rock, alternative vibe and decor it had as did my teenage daughter. All in all, the prices were reasonable, they made us feel very welcome and they were so helpful and friendly-downtown got itself another unique lil shop! read more

Came to rad coffee in Covina with hope s of getting a beetle drink it amazes me how other employees are willing to make the drink for me even not on the menu ! But this particular guy told me he does not have the recipe ? This rating is not for the coffee shop But the for the particular cashier in the front that even when I said I was going to a different location didn't even bother to give me a different option or anything .. He was just like no .. Thank you to other employees that have made for me and to guy in front today get better customer service skills ! After coming here for 2 1/2 years I still like this place. My only gripe is that the employees park in front or on the side of the building, instead of in the back. This is very disrespectful to their customers. This takes away easy access for customers, especially those who may be handicapped. Where I work, the business next to us, their employees park in front of our and their business. Therefore, we get customers complaining about not being able to find parking and all because they don't park in the back like they are supposed to. I appreciate the fact that they built a coffee shop that's punk rock themed. I don't want to sound like a gate keeper but not too many of the workers there are even punk nor know anything about punk culture at all. The matcha is good, but I am not quite a fan of their gimmicky coffees that rely on sugary condiments to sell. I would definitely go there if I needed coffee that wasn't Starbucks if it was late at night. read more

This is by far the coolest coffee place I have ever been too. The employees are super nice and gave great costumer service. While waiting for my drink I played a couple of the pinball games and enjoyed the ambiance. Their merch is definitely rad and I bought a metal water bottle which I'm definitely am using everyday for now on. 100% recommend this place for anyone who likes horror related things and cool drinks. read more

Their coffee shop is fantastic. I ended up getting their chocolate milk cold brew and it was delicious. I also got their pop tart and it was fantastic. I would definitely recommend if you want some unique coffees and delicious treats, it's well worth the trip. read more

Very tasty specialty drinks ! They roast their own beans and make their own whips. I personally am a cold brew drinker and the cold brew did not have any abnormal acidic taste whatsoever! Gf also really enjoyed the peanut butter crunch drink read more

Coffee is amazing! Chai tea is good too. There are so many cute little Knick knacks in this store themed thriller horror. Bought whole coffee beans and can coffee both so delicious. Drinking a cup now! Love this place. Will def come back! read more
