I've only visited Rad Coffee maybe 2x total. I always drive by it and should probably make more trips here. The location is in downtown Covina and parking is available out front, but there's a big lot behind the building. I always love their logo and decor inside the coffee shop. They have a wide variety of coffee and specialty drinks on their menu. They offer build your own drink options and cereal chiller drinks. Not to mention, seasonal and/or monthly drinks. The staff here have been cool each time I have visited. They are friendly and work efficiently fast. The location has so much to offer. They have merch, mugs, and sweets to grab if you have a craving. The aesthetics are very unique and during Halloween time they deck the whole place. The cool part of Rad Coffee is they have pinball machines to play in the back of the location. As far as the drinks. They are delicious. I needed some coffee so I went with the Salty Caramel with oat milk. The drink was ready in about 2-3 minutes. The drink has good level of sweetness and the right amount of caffeine. The boost I needed to get through a busy work day. :D Overall, Rad Coffee has always been well known in Covina and I recommend anyone to come by and visit this one of a kind Coffee shop. Stumbled upon this spot randomly and turned out to be an amazing little coffee shop! Cold brews are fantastic and the cereal drinks are delicious as well. Highly recommend the peanut butter crunch and will be back soon to try the other cereal drinks. There's also some pinball machines in the back to keep you busy while you wait. Lovely staff!! 10/10
Cool service with great coffee. Tucked away in downtown Covina, I stopped by after lunch in the area. Service was very friendly and I got my drink really quickly even though it was mildly busy. I ordered a vanilla latte, half sweet. The prices are good here and the coffee is very bold in flavor without being too acidic. I enjoyed it a lot definitely recommend!
Lattes are 90% ice and 10% espresso and milk. I wanted to like it so I asked for a remake and the latte in the photo is the second drink they gave me with "less ice". Broke two straws trying to get them through the ice in the drink? Kind of let this ruin my day. Two stars tho for the customer service, I appreciate the remake! LIKE TOTALLY RAD COFFEE!! This place is a fun punk themed coffee shop with delicious coffee! What makes it so RAD is the pinball machines! I am a pinball enthusiast so I loved this. We ordered a hot and iced latte with oatmilk and coconut syrup. The coffee was delicious. The store sells a lot of merch. I did find it odd that there was no inside or outside seating. For me personally the pinball machines made up for it but I think that might be a problem for some people.
This cafe is nice and it's cool for anybody to experience as a first time. I don't have pictures of the drinks, but they did have a variety of unique drinks that range from refreshers, frappes, coffees, etc. This cafe is also very artsy, they have nice art on the wall, merch, and even cool retro games to play. However, I do wish this place had a dine in or outdoor dine out as well at least, it's more of a get and go type of cafe where you can walk around and look at the atmosphere and the vibes are cool too as well. I thinks it's worth it to stop by and experience it at least once for anyone :)
I've seen rad coffee on IG for a while now and have finally made my way to trying it. Ordered the Spanish latte and enjoyed it. We asked for less sweet and I would honestly order it again. We were pleasantly surprised with the pin ball machines in the back! They had a nice collection of them and I was glad they had a machine where we could get change. I will say that it did feel odd inside with amount of random things you could buy, from stickers to mugs, sweaters to other snacks, and more. Like maybe there used to be tables and chairs inside? But they replaced it with all the stuff they're trying to sell. The placement of the merch stuff makes it so awkward, almost like someone just said hey let's just set all this stuff up and see if it sells without considering flow. Idk. Kind of a shame, I would have considered working on my laptop there if that meant I'd be able to take breaks and lose all my dollar bills to the pin ball machines with a cup of Spanish latte. Would I grab another latte if I was in the area? Sure. Would I go out of my way to get it? Nah.
Coffee is great and prices are about eh...fair. A cookie is about $5 and I believe it's home made style. If you like the rock, goth style this is your place. It's in Downtown Covina and parking can be a bit challenging on a Friday night. Service is good and attentive. The menu is interesting. It's intriguing if you have a curious mind.
Either rad fell off , or my taste buds elevated. Got the white mocha , SUPER sweet with no hint of coffee . We also asked for easy sweet . I'd say if you like your drinks very sweet you will like this place , as for me I do prefer the coffee taste . Still give it a chance if it's your first time, It's a Cool place and atmosphere & interesting merch to browse/ purchase.
Rad Coffee is still as fun as always! And, on my most recent visit, I learned that they either rotate the pinball machines or occasionally get new ones. Staff were very helpful in making recommendations, particularly with the seasonal menu. This menu is listed on their socials and website, but is just on the counter in the shop. Some of the flavors were a little too funky and sweet for me, but their standard menu is always good. The blended drinks are definitely more like ice cream than coffee.

The name of this places definitely suits the vibe! This place is rad! The employees are all super friendly and they offer coffees, speciality blends, teas and lemonades and some snacks like donuts, pop tarts! I usually am very picky w/ iced coffee because it tends to be bitter and lacking flavor. But this place knows how to do it good! I love how after you get your coffee they also have pinball machines in the back that you can play! And the machines have cup holders on the side! So convenient! I just stopped here while I was in downtown Covina. There are plenty of options with espresso/coffees, tea/lemonades and lots of specialty blends! Rad coffee has all the rocker vibes and their skull logo matches perfectly. Lots of horror/music posters, rock music playing, an arcade in the back and other decor/merch that give that rockstar vibe. I was hoping to sit and work here for a bit but there is only one table outside and no seating inside. Service is very friendly and happy to answer questions. There were 3 people working and it took about 10 minutes for me to get my drink with a constant trickle of people ordering. Of the specialty blends, I tried the seasonal item, the Xmas Frankie blended which largely resembles the Frankenstein drink under Monster Mash ($6.25 for 16oz). It's a matcha blend with Oreos pieces, and peppermint. The matcha flavor was strong which was great but I didn't taste any peppermint. Chocolate wasn't coming through as much as I thought. I needed a change from my other coffee spots so I decided to try this spot and may I say place is cool, Hip But I did not like the first drink I ordered It was extremely strong i took a zip and told the barista and she said I could order something ells I gave her back the drink and had to buy another one no swap. I guess its okay It was my mistake for trying something I didnt like. Second drink was ​ as bad. But I just took it. I was not going to spend another 7$ on a drink I was not going to like. My co worker got one they suggested and she did not like it but she took it as well. Wont be returning to this location. Maybe another location will be better. Décor is cool that is my 2 starts. read more
Rad is awesome! This place has been a great place for some great coffee. There's even an arcade room in the back with pinball machines. Coffee: good I got the cookies n scream with a shot of espresso. It was a good treat and had Cookie Crisp cereal. Service: good They were super kind and helpful. Pretty quick too! read more
Wow! What a hip and gorgeous spot. Felt cooler just for spending time in this place. Open, peaceful and spotless. Loved stopping by for a coffee and to admire their arcade. They have an Elvira pinball machine, are you kidding me? I'm home. As for the coffee... It's great! Amazing flavor, and the service was friendly and fast. Props for clean bathrooms. The first time I had this coffee was in upland during the lemon festival, bought some coffee and merch then. On my way home from Covina , I saw that they had another location. This weekend I was gifted a bag of their whole beans to brew at home . The coffee is delicious, very smooth just like I like it. Their beans are roasted in upland so they're very fresh.. what a treat. Treated myself to a pot this morning on my day off, I'd recommend this coffee . read more

Super unique coffee shop. Unique drinks and atmosphere of the place. Drinks are themed as classic monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, etc. they have cereal drinks, and lots of other stuff. Super cool decorations, a dark type of vibe. They have a little arcade area with classic pinball machines. The drink I got was delicious and I say worth the price. Workers are pretty chill. I would love to come back here. read more

I am not sure how I found out about this coffee place but I have it bookmarked for a while now and I am glad you found the opportunity to visit. Red coffee can be found on a cute little strip with other nice looking eateries, floral shops and art galleries. The theme for RAD Coffee is vintage horror and punk rock. It is awesome! ICED LATTE was a good boost that woke us up. Chai Latte was so very good too. Zombie Lemonade was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. Lots of free parking on the streets. read more
We were in town for a long weekend and obviously needed our caffeine fix in the morning, and stumbled across Rad Coffee! As if the logo wasn't cool enough, we saw the menu and we knew we had to try it! We got these blended drinks that were seriously so freakin delicious. Very rich, but reallyyyyy good! They have a lot of cute merch, too! They also have some oldie arcade machines in the back. It's a total vibe. I highly recommend coming here if you're in the area! :) read more
What a rad experience! Wanted to sway from my usual starbucks coffee fix. Found this gem located in Old Town Covina where parking is a bit of a challenge. Was lucky to find a street parking right in front of the store. Inside is a cool vibe, a spot to hang out with friends and play some horror-themed pinball arcade while sipping coffee, they have their own merch too which is interesting. Their coffee tastes fresh and love how my coffee was made. Just the right hint of sweetness not overpowering the coffee. Just this perfect taste! Would be coming back for sure! read more

Rad Coffee is always a great choice! As a coffee lover, I enjoy trying out small business coffee shops, and Rad's pumpkin latte did not disappoint, it's not overly sweet, with a house-made, organic flavor that was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and the shop was clean and well-kept. This location is spacious and even has a mini arcade area! The decor is stunning. I'll definitely be back! read more

It's pretty good! The brew is excellent and strong! I would say, the main drinks are a tad too sweet for my taste but great regardless! The ambience is really cool as it has punk rock posters and a very alternative interior. Only thing is that there aren't chairs inside for studying or hanging out with friends but definitely a nice place to drop by. read more

Not a bad place by any means! Solid lattes, if a little pricier than I'd expect for the serving size. I've had nothing but positive interactions with all the baristas here, so if you're ever in look for a quick stop in downtown Covina I'd recommend the spot. While the place is beautifully decorated, it isn't my personal preference because of the limited indoor seating options. Still, absolutely worth a visit. read more

Rating 3/5 stars b/c the interior was really cool and the cashier was patient and helpful. However, my salted caramel latte was VERY salty. I understand it has salt but it should have a hint of salt. My drink tasted very salty as I could not consume it. It was such an uncomfortable taste I was so disappointed. I've tried salted lattes before at other locations but this was the saltiest one I've ever had. I wanted to try this place for the longest time but was completely let down by the taste. Maybe just not the place for me. read more
Neat coffee shop! I love their creative monster themed drink menu. I ended up ordering The Great White. It put me back $10 but it was a 32 oz. drink and was hecka good! There's a pinball arcade in the back that my two older kids loved playing with, however my youngest son wasn't a fan of the skull decor of the shop. He got scared and wanted to leave ASAP. They have merch for sale and snacks as well. A few chairs in the front of the shop let you sit and relax while you enjoy your beverage. read more

Trendy coffee spot with killer merch. Located in the small downtown Covina area, you can get a plethora of various types of coffee drinks. I believe this location used to house an açaà bowl spot, which coincidentally was also good. The backroom has OG pinball machines and the interior has those old school concert flyers that you grew up with (if you're Gen X like me). The coffee itself is good! I'm a purist - don't give me that sickenly sweet coffee blended stuff with funky toppings - so I stuck with an Americano. Great location to take your photos for the 'gram. Love the hand chairs out front - I have one in my home office! read more
Finally got to visit Rad Coffee, none of their locations is close to me so I was excited to check it out. Their menu offers a ton of stuff, from simple to super creative. The cafe doesn't offer any indoor seating, just a few seats outside. But it does offer a cool arcade area in the back and the restrooms are clean. I want to say my fave part about my visit was the super friendly customer service. I ordered the Bride and he offered to add some cold brew. Wasn't sure how I felt about that until he went into detail and explained everything. I decided to go for it and don't regret it at all because my coffee was super good! read more

What a fun place to go. Luxury coffee with a fun horror twist. You go up to a counter and order. They also sell a lot of fun merch. This store has a whole miniarcade in the back of the store. The service is quick. The only reason I took a star away is that there are not really any healthier options. Most drinks are very sugary. read more

This place is so cool! It had a whole horror pinball arcade in the back! The vibe of the spot is just so awesome, and I love that everything on the menu seems themed. Although I don't order vegan items usually, it's nice to see that they did have vegan drink options. I keep raving about how this place is so fun and just so cool, but let's get to the drinks. We ordered two of the blended cereal drinks, which were okay. They weren't the best, but it was definitely themed. I ordered the Captain Crunch drink which honestly tasted so weird, like it wasn't bad but I can't honestly say I enjoyed it. They were just aesthetically pleasing. Hopefully next time I visit, I'll try one of the actual coffee drinks and it wows me. Staff is really friendly as well, so we'll definitely be visiting again to give this place another shot! read more
Ordered a matcha! Which was pretty tasty, but was not as sweet as I'm used, this is personal preference. They took our order quick & served it pretty quickly as well. The coffee shop is super unique and cute! Would come back here again but would definitely try something else. read more

I just love Rad Coffee. It's more than just a coffee spot. It's the whole vibe that is attractive. I love the Halloween themed drinks and vegan drink options. The decor is so cool with the Rad Coffee skeleton mascot. I can't get enough of the spooky drinks and creepy decor. This place is pretty hipster. I believe it caters to a younger crowd with the decor and theme, but who doesn't like hip coffee? Lol What I love is that they have vegan drinks on the menu, or you can ask them to veganize any drink. So if you have an allergy to milk then they got you covered. The drink will still taste great, follow the fun spooky theme, and not upset your tummy. Now that's a win win situation! The lines can get long at peak times. But it is well worth the wait, trust. :) read more

First time I tried them was from their food truck and now I'm hocked !!! Everything about this place, brand , aesthetic is so pleasing to all my senses !! The fact that it's so nostalgic to my high school punk rock days with the addition of delicious coffees and yummy treats is all a girl could dream for! I get overly excited when I know I'm coming here and my wallet cries a bit cause I go in there buying everything from the shirts , stickers, baked goods , and coffee !! A must stop if your in the area but also worth the drive from wherever you are ! read more
This place is fun. The drinks are wildly named and cool to to look at, but it is a lot of sizzle and not a lot of steak, or rather, a lot of novelty and flash in the place of high quality espresso beans and barista technique. I'm not mad at them. They know who they are and what they offer and it is super fun. If you want a Dracula or a Monster Mash with cinnamon toast crunch on top of it, then this is your spot. If you are looking for an awesome cappuccino at the perfect temperature, a cortado in a Gibraltar glass, or a well-poured espresso, best look somewhere else. Kick ass merch, high energy punk rock and metal playing, cool staff, and now my absolute favorite thing ever at the Covina location...Horrorcade pinball games!!! Extra stars for that. I love pinball and coin-op games and you can never find them anymore. Props to them for really sticking to the theme and making great use of that extra space. read more
This spot has my high school dream aesthetic. Awesome merch to buy, good drinks, and amazing tarts! And don't forget the arcade in the back, too. I couldn't help but buy 3 stickers and I'm tempted to buy their alien glass cup. I do hope they're able to set up more tables in the future because this would be such an awesome spot to set up and work and drink lattes all day. I was seriously amazed by the PISTACHIO TART. I am now hooked and have to try their other flavors. I have yet to try other lattes but the Dracula was pretty good. This is a great spot in downtown Covina. Can't wait to go back! read more
Rad Coffee replaced what was a Starbucks quite some time ago on the corner of Citrus and College in Downtown Covina. I have fond memories of this location because back in the day it wasn't unusual to sneak (in pajamas no less) across the parking lot to get coffee and breakfast, and scurry back to enjoy breakfast in my apartment just a few yards away. I always hesitated trying Rad Coffee thinking I was risking a "good coffee moment" by trying something other than Starbucks. Turns out, sometimes the grass IS greener on the other side. There is A LOT to take in visually and audibly--all in a good way. I walked in this morning and The Specials were on blast. There's a nice variety of souvenirs and stickers to buy, wear, or add to your commuter mug. My favorite were the shorts that totally had me inspired to be a Derby Doll (if only I could roller skate!) The coffee (a cappuccino) was a perfect balance of perk, bold flavor, and smoothness. I will be back - and those cups! are so kitschy cute!!! I saved mine- it seemed a shame to throw it away! Now to figure out what to do with it. Ha! read more
I'm so happy there is a closer Rad coffee!!! I would go to the one in Upland but since it's closer I can't wait to come more often. Israel was very nice and helpful. He made sure we liked our drinks and made us feel very welcome. There are so many items to choose from I always have a hard time. They had their pumpkin seasonal items. I ended up ordering the Mocha blended with almond milk and my boyfriend ordered the cold brew. Quality: The mocha blended has the nice balance of chocolate to coffee. My boyfriend ordered the cold brew. He liked how the cold brew was smooth, less acidic,with an tangy orange-y hint. Parking: There is a large parking lot located in the back of Rad Coffee.
