Cinnamon Toast (Left), Peanut Butter Crunch (Right)
    Evan M.

Standard coffee shop with some interesting sounding drinks, serving coffees and teas. Parking is street-side. Decor is quite cool, and trendy- love the ambiance. Staff were efficient. I came to try one of their Unique coffee creations, so landed on their Frappe's (blended coffees), as their standard coffees were standard. Their Peanut Butter crunch had a protein-powder taste that wasn't as peanut butter forward as I hoped (reminded me of PBFit added), but I did enjoy their coffee strength in it. I was hoping the "crunch" would include crushed peanuts not just relying on cereal topping (which I elected to remove, thus I suppose became crunch-less). Their Cinnamon Toast coffee was well flavored and a better choice, also with a good amount of coffee and avoided being overly sweet. Overall some good and bad. If in the area worth another try!

    The Meltdown

I stopped by RAD Coffee in Covina first thing in the morning and had a great experience. I ordered the Meltdown latte, which is made with vanilla and caramel. It was really good not overly sweet and you could still taste the coffee, which I always appreciate. Since I went early, parking was easy to find. It's located in the downtown area though, so I think parking can get pretty difficult later in the day. The customer service was friendly, and I got my drink quickly. Overall, it was a great visit, and I'll definitely be back to try another drink next time!

I was craving an iced latte and spotted Rad Coffee as i was driving down Citrus blvd. The server hooked me up right away with a delicious drink that was perfect! Inside is decorated with a monster/ sugar skull theme which is pretty fun.

Nestled in downtown Covina is Rad Coffee. I don't think their coffee tastes all that great, but it was my only option at the time of visit. They have some pinball machines and games in the back area. It's a nice place to congregate with a group. Credit card accepted Bathroom in the back Street parking (free)

    Coffee Break! So good!

Stumbled on this fantastically eclectic coffee shop completely by accident, and am so grateful. After much contemplation because everything sounded so good, I decided on their Coffee Break (one of the specials in April) to try. Never thought espresso and peanut butter would blend so well together, but it does! I also really appreciate that this was flavorful but not overwhelmingly sweet. The one guy working there taking orders and making the drinks was super friendly and helpful. The decor is awesome. Can't wait to be back to try their other creations!

I've seen Rad Coffee on social media and I finally had a chance to check it out. I was greeted immediately and kindly by the girl with the pink hair (I didn't catch her name I'm so sorry! She is so sweet!). I got The Ripper w/ oak milk. It was delicious! If you like cinnamon, get it. I'll definitely be back again to pick up some merch!

I've only visited Rad Coffee maybe 2x total. I always drive by it and should probably make more trips here. The location is in downtown Covina and parking is available out front, but there's a big lot behind the building. I always love their logo and decor inside the coffee shop. They have a wide variety of coffee and specialty drinks on their menu. They offer build your own drink options and cereal chiller drinks. Not to mention, seasonal and/or monthly drinks. The staff here have been cool each time I have visited. They are friendly and work efficiently fast. The location has so much to offer. They have merch, mugs, and sweets to grab if you have a craving. The aesthetics are very unique and during Halloween time they deck the whole place. The cool part of Rad Coffee is they have pinball machines to play in the back of the location. As far as the drinks. They are delicious. I needed some coffee so I went with the Salty Caramel with oat milk. The drink was ready in about 2-3 minutes. The drink has good level of sweetness and the right amount of caffeine. The boost I needed to get through a busy work day. :D Overall, Rad Coffee has always been well known in Covina and I recommend anyone to come by and visit this one of a kind Coffee shop. Thanks, Rad Coffee! ( ^_^)b

Cool service with great coffee. Tucked away in downtown Covina, I stopped by after lunch in the area. Service was very friendly and I got my drink really quickly even though it was mildly busy. I ordered a vanilla latte, half sweet. The prices are good here and the coffee is very bold in flavor without being too acidic. I enjoyed it a lot definitely recommend!

Stumbled upon this spot randomly and turned out to be an amazing little coffee shop! Cold brews are fantastic and the cereal drinks are delicious as well. Highly recommend the peanut butter crunch and will be back soon to try the other cereal drinks. There's also some pinball machines in the back to keep you busy while you wait. Lovely staff!! 10/10

It was awful just tasted like a bottle of salt from the ocean

I don't think they put right portions because I ordered a salted caramel latte and it literally just Ed tasted like I drank salt mixed with water. Spat out immediately

LIKE TOTALLY RAD COFFEE!! This place is a fun punk themed coffee shop with delicious coffee! What makes it so RAD is the pinball machines! I am a pinball enthusiast so I loved this. We ordered a hot and iced latte with oatmilk and coconut syrup. The coffee was delicious. The store sells a lot of merch. I did find it odd that there was no inside or outside seating. For me personally the pinball machines made up for it but I think that might be a problem for some people.

The drink is super smooth and creamy with really strong jasmine and oolong flavors. And the brown sugar mochi jelly??? Boba WHO? It's soft, chewy, and honestly so much better than boba. The best part is that you can even save your drink for the next day and the mochi jelly stays soft instead of getting hard like boba does. I cannot recommend this specific order enough. There's a reason Torotea has expanded so much! I'm not the biggest fan of the Diamond Bar location purely because of the line, so I'd recommend trying one of their other locations if you don't want to wait as long. You can also order online on weekdays to avoid the line, but there is a small online fee. Also shoutout to whoever designed their shops because they absolutely killed the boho vibes. Super cute inside and the perfect place to wait for your drink. There isn't much of a seating area to chat given the line and large volume of traffic. Overall, as I can't emphasize any further, JASMINE OOLING WITH MOCHI JELLY.

Unfortunately, I left disappointed. One positive is the overall aesthetic. I like the layout and the lighting design, and the globe fixtures give the shop a nice modern look. Unfortunately, when you look closer, the fixtures have visible dust and grime buildup. Some of them are high up, so I understand they aren't easy to clean, but this is where an occasional ladder or professional deep cleaning comes in. The shop has good design bones; it just needs more attention to cleaning and maintenance. The music itself is trendy and current, but it is much too loud for a work-friendly coffee shop, especially because the space is very echoey. I'm including a screenshot of the sound level along with a short video so people can get a sense of it for themselves. I found it basically impossible to concentrate without earplugs or noise-canceling headphones. Seating is also limited and isn't very comfortable. It's mostly hard wooden benches and plastic or metal folding-style chairs. Nothing egregious, but not especially comfortable if you're planning to sit and work for a while. What really started the experience off badly for me was my drink. I ordered an iced matcha for $6.75 and asked if they could do less ice. I was told that if I wanted less ice, the drink would be less full. I said never mind and asked for it to just be filled normally. When I received it, though, my matcha still had noticeably less liquid than my husband's drink. Since they only offer one size for each iced drink, the difference was pretty obvious. We also tipped $1. The matcha itself was just your standard iced matcha -- nothing special -- and definitely didn't feel worth $6.75 to me. My husband's $8 Butterscotch Cream Latte actually tasted good, but after he finished it, we were surprised by how much of the cup was taken up by ice. The photo speaks for itself. Given that I had already been told that requesting less ice would result in a less-full drink, this really diminished the value for me. The bathroom was another big negative. I tend to judge the cleanliness of a business by its restroom, and this one did not give me confidence. The bathroom door and several surrounding surfaces looked like they had not been thoroughly wiped down in quite a while, with visible grime and buildup, and there were also holes in the wall. Even the glass entrance doors had visible smudges and residue. I'm including photos because these things were noticeable and contributed to an overall poorly maintained impression. There were no paper towels available. Instead, an old-looking handwritten sign was taped over the dispenser saying, "Please use the air dryer. Thank you!" I personally avoid hand dryers because of hygiene concerns, so after washing my hands I ended up using toilet paper and a toilet-seat cover so I could open the bathroom door without touching the handle directly. At that point, they might as well remove the paper towel dispenser entirely. Leaving an unused dispenser covered by an aged paper sign just looks lazy and poorly maintained to me, especially in a customer-facing bathroom. Aesthetically, I also wasn't a fan of all the taped-up paper signs. The front entrance has a large paper sign taped directly to the glass saying "PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR GENTLY. THANK YOU!!!" along with several other smaller notices, and the bathroom has the aged handwritten sign taped over the unused paper towel dispenser. These are small details individually, but together with the visible grime, holes, and neglected surfaces, they made the shop feel more makeshift and poorly maintained than the otherwise nice design deserves. It clearly seems to be a popular spot, and my husband had far fewer complaints and enjoyed his latte. I also think the overall layout and lighting aesthetic have potential. For me, though, the underfilled matcha, ice-heavy drinks, standard-at-best matcha, loud music, limited seating, uncomfortable chairs, and overall cleanliness and maintenance made this a disappointing first visit.
