She evaluated my skin, made some recommendations and I agreed to both Botox and Restylane treatments. She even discouraged some of my suggestions in favor of something more subtle and natural, for that I really appreciate her transparency and honesty. Heaven!! I love this place... To start, the office is gorgeous. You get an immediate feel of clean and sleek. I found Radiance Med Spa/Dr. Max from a friend who brought me to the grand opening. I have many pros to share about Radiance Pasadena! Parking is great, office is beautiful and always very clean! Scheduling is never a hassle. The staff always finds a way to get me in. If they are completely booked they help me get in at the other La Cañada office or put me on a wait list and call me back as soon as something opens up. All the providers are very experienced, kind and professional. They will answer all of your questions, and make you feel at ease. I have met Dr. Lehfeldt a couple of times and he is very friendly. I brought my mom in for a consultation, she only speaks Spanish. Crystle helped translate and assisted her throughout her entire visit. Everyone was nice enough and the spa was clean. However, I will not be returning. I've been to 3 different offices for fillers in LA- I realize price will vary for a syringe from place to place. Radiance Med Spa says their price for a syringe is $425. The nurse told me after rubbing the numbing cream under my eyes that since it's a "specialized area" the cost is $595 instead of $425. I already filled out the paperwork and had the cream on so I was like ok o.O that's fine, I guess?? The under eye area is a more difficult/delicate area- I know this. But I have never heard of the doctor or nurse charging more- especially $170 more just because of the area you're injecting. I was not informed of the price difference when I booked my appointment- otherwise I definitely would have not come here. Then, even more out of the norm, she told me to go pay right then. With the white numbing cream rubbed on my face, before receiving the fillers. This isn't my first rodeo I know for sure it's abnormal to make you pay in the middle of your appointment. It made me feel like she didn't trust me, overall very awkward experience. I also bruised way more intensely than I ever have before. I learned my lesson and will be going back to Dr Manus, one of thee best plastic surgeons in Los Angeles, even though he's on the other side of town. I got the picosure tattoo laser removal it cost 300 per session which seems kind of pricey but the results were worth every penny. I went in not knowing what to expect but I've heard that tattoo removal is more painful than getting a tattoo and that's a fact. It was well worth the pain though I still need to go back for my third session. read more

It is Dr Max's response to my review that is ridiculous...! At a restaurant, to use his example, you do not assume you are going to pay for a 2nd meal when the original order comes out burnt and is sent back to the kitchen, do you? As he is the business owner, I would have thought the Dr Max's response would be to say he would look into the poor business practice mentioned here, one of failing to inform customer of costs that will result from a 2nd go at a poorly executed injection *ahead* of the revision. He implies that I refused to pay. I very simply paid for the 2nd/revised process the same amount as I'd paid for the original, botched procedure...although the counter person had demanded that I pay *more* for the 2nd /revised than I had for the 1st...! Dr Max also tries to discount my opinion because it had been years ago when I was last a customer. When I called in 2021 to ask about pricing on a process (in the course of calling various providers), I was told that I was not entitled to any information because of my short-pay situation from years ago! This brought to mind the fact that I had failed to comment on YELP about the poor treatment years ago. Yes, my response was angry; I was very dissappointed to be treated so shabbily...and with a marked condescension. However, no "threats" were made. Readers here may be especially interested to note that I had to pay a different practicioner at a competing store to get a revision to the 2nd go-round injection treatment, which had been overdone. So clearly I would've been better served had I never stepped foot into RMS for an injection! I repeat: BEWARE! read more

I've been to this place before for other treatments and loved it so I decided to try their facial. I was a bit nervous since i know I don't take very good care of my skin and I've never tried peelings or microdermabrasion. But Meri is quite an expert. She took the time to explain everything to me and she was super gentle with my face. I felt so pampered and taken care of! My visit to Radiance was my first ever at a medical spa and it exceeded every expectation I had. After doing lots of research about lasers and photo facial, I decided to proceed with the IPL treatment right after my consultation to correct acne scarring. Amanda was amazing! Though she had a busy day (nurses kept popping in updating her on patient arrivals) she answered my every question and took her time with the procedure. Things to expect with IPL: Amanda used a topical gel to numb my face. I was given blacked out goggles and closed my eyes during the procedure to protect them. The laser was 100% tolerable. It felt warm and the zaps felt like a rubber band quickly snapping my skin. Amanda went around my face 2 times with the laser. I was warned that I would smell burning hair, which I did from the baby peach fuzz around my face. When the laser was above my lip, I could feel my teeth get very hot (which I was warned about and is normal). Amanda lowered the intensity when going around my chin, upper lip, and forehead. This was due to the skin being thinner and closer to the bone on my forehead and my lip/chin being sensitive areas. I was given an ice pack after the treatment to cool my face as it felt like a sun burn (also normal). After an hour, topical numbing cream wore off and my face cooled down. I noticed an immediate difference in my freckles/red spots. I was told dark/red spots would get darker and I would see results after 3-4 weeks of treatment. I'm looking forward to seeing how my skin heals! read more

I've been going to Radiance for about 13 years. The fact is I look younger than my age because I periodically do botox, fillers, Thermage and chemical peels. The scoop is that the chemical properties of fillers has changed since I've been a 'user'! Fillers simply do not last as long as they used to; it's simple, the companies making them need to make money, so they make a product that does not last too long so that you, the consumer, will purchase more. I've been generally happy with all the ladies there who do the injections, but it is really important that YOU find who you like! Needle technique is really important! AHN does a great job; she is at both the La Canada and Pasadena locations. I have had experiences with bruising, mainly from the technician who doesn't properly do the injection. AHN is an expert and what I REALLY like is that she does not push any products on me. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! read more

The Receptionist told yes, she gave me a price, then asked me to bring a mask when I come in. When I arrived I was rudely sent to wait outside.
