BUYER BEWARE - READ ALL THE 1-STAR YELP REVIEWS! In our industry, we work with a lot of different companies. RadiatorExpress has been, by far, the worst to deal with. We are sharing the facts of our experience to hopefully prevent it happening to others. On 5/28/24, using the RadiatorExpress website, we ordered a custom-built radiator, all aluminum, with an additional transmission cooler. We chose RadiatorExpress because they claim they can make any custom radiator, which we needed because it was for an antique car. We paid $1098.76, with shipping. Michael emailed us on 5/31 with the specs and asked us to confirm the build, and stated it would take 4-6 weeks. After some back and forth 6/3-6/6, it was determined the radiator would not fit our needs. On 6/10 Michael emailed asking that we send him our old radiator, at their expense, so that "We'll get a new drawing made up from spec on the old unit so we can build fresh for you" and "i know we are "adding transmission" and this will be noted and billed later". We shipped them our old radiator, and it was delivered to them on 6/13/24. On 6/14/24 Michael asked us to confirm the year/make/model of the car the radiator was for, which we did. On 6/20 Michael emailed asking if we wanted to upgrade to a high efficiency core for an additional cost and additional time. For the original custom build Michael said "Take me 2-3 weeks all in to manufacturer a new core, take the tanks off old unit sandblast to natural brass and prep for manufacturing. We'll manufacture, test, paint in OEM black and return unit." Since we were already almost a month in, they had our money and our radiator, we responded we wanted to stay with the standard copper core (so we could get them back quicker). On 7/8 Michael confirmed the standard build and asked about the top connection, which had come loose during shipping; we responded. On 7/17 we emailed Michael asking for an ETA. He said "most likely on the road next week. Will keep you posted with a tracking number once I have". When we didn't receive tracking by 7/25, we emailed Michael asking if the radiator had shipped. When we hadn't received a response by 7/29, we emailed Michael again, to which he responded scolding us with "Checking on it. Note: we put the service order in on 7-9 when item was back. We are on the 14th business day." Which was not correct. They had our old radiator since 6/13, and he had already told us it was being shipped. On Friday, 8/2, Michael emailed that the radiator was shipping on Monday, 8/5, and that we would receive a tracking number soon. When we still hadn't received the tracking number on 8/6, we called Michael who said it didn't make it out on 8/5 but was shipping that day (8/6). He immediately emailed us a UPS tracking number that showed a label had been created but the package was not received. On 8/7 the label still showed UPS did not have the package. So, we emailed Michael... again. On 8/8 he responded "Checked and it was still here with the label on it. Some dum dum put it in the will call counter (for pickup). Tracking should update tonight, ugh. im sorry." We finally received the package on Monday, 8/12. What we received was not the custom-built aluminum with an additional transmission cooler we paid $1098.72 for. After waiting 8-1/2 weeks, what we got back was just our old radiator with a shoddy rebuild, and no added trans cooler! I ordered a radiator from this business for a 1955 Chevrolet Belair. The website said they have 9 different radiators that would fit my cr. I ordered on and it came about a week later. The bolt holes in the side of the radiator do not line up with the bolt holes in the core support. It cost me $98 to ship it back because they said I ordered the wrong part. When I checked the box asking "Will this part fit my car?" it said it would. So they lied and I am extremely unsatisfied. Ordered a radiator for my f250 was promised a radiator cap for free after two days of no tracking number they had me text warehouse manager he said it shipped last night I asked about radiator cap he said no mention on invoice so no cap I called sales office back he told me sells agent made a mistake and I would not be getting a cap but I could order one anywhere online, I told him I could order a radiator anywhere online also he said he would cancel shipment and refund my money. Funny, all of my other parts fit, timing belt, water pump, etc. I know what I own. I had to pay return shipping, $67. Should've went with my local Carquest. At first I was delighted to order a radiator from radiator express. My friend had actually recommended them to me. I was looking for a radiator for my '04 Jeep GC WJ. They had one that was just what I was looking for.... or I thought. I ordered an all aluminum radiator for $256 and got my confirmation. Sent them the billing, shipping, and credit card info. 3 days after I ordered the part they contact me saying they need to confirm my billing and shipping. I just moved to Oregon so my billing is still in Texas. They held my order. I'm now on PST and couldn't get back to them that day. The next day I called in the morning to get it sorted out. Easy. So I thought... 3 days later! They send me an email saying they DONT HAVE THE PART IN STOCK. They also told me I was now on a 30 day back order?! Money had be transferred from my account and I had expected the radiator to arrive 2 days after the order date. As it should take. Now a week in I call them back to ask the about their inventory, and if there's anything they can do. They said they'd call a few people to see what's around and call me back. I waited 2 hours and no return phone call. Called in again and got connected to the same employee I talked to before. I explained the situation, yet again. He then proceeds to give me an attitude and also says, " Well we don't charge your card till we ship your part out." I wouldn't be worried about it if they didn't charge my card.... so then he transfers me to customer service. I'm on the line for about 45 minutes till someone finally picked up. They said, "hello?" Waited two seconds and hung up..... so I called them back, yet again. Then I was FINALLY connected to someone who I could cancel my order with. But sadly I am still waiting to get my confirmation about my cancelled order as I am still out $256. I WOULD NOT recommend this company to even someone I hated! read more

These guys are an absolute nightmare. Please reconsider doing business with them. This is an honest review. They over-promise and under-deliver. It is not same-day shipping it took three days to ship and another seven days to get here. If you want to contact them to talk about your order they are nowhere to be found. They say they can't answer their phone because of covid? Phone was a primary form of contact during covid. They say you can contact them through text! Who does business like this? When you finally contact someone through text it's so rude Punk being sarcastic and making excuses. What a horrible nightmare. By the way, I went to Pit Stop Auto and got the radiator shipped overnight and even with the overnight shipping it was half the price of the Radiator Express. Com. This is a fact go to Pit Stop Auto. Without the overnight shipping I could have received the radiator in a few days for one third of the cost of a radiator at Radiator Express. Com. This is a fact. Absolute worst experience of my life. Placed order, took 23 days before they could tell me it was backordered. Substituted the part I ordered with an inferior radiator. I finally received the desperately needed radiator and much to my surprise it not only isn't what I ordered but it will not fit my truck. Upon calling radiator express and leaving a voicemail since there IS NO ONE who will answer incoming complaints or to assist with returning parts. I received an email from John who would allow me to return the radiator as long as I paid for shipping. Upon finding out that I didn't receive the radiator that I originally ordered they would not take the "wrong" radiator back in return. So basically, they have my money, I have a worthless piece of junk and there is no recourse and NO, none absolutely zero contact from customer service. Do yourself a favor and head down to the local Napa dealer. I told them my story and they gave me 40% off of the price of the correct new radiator.
