Save yourself from a nightmare experience and RUN from Bennett Chevrolet! Their service department is a scam and their clerks (registration) totally inept. The service department told us the oil had been changed on the vehicle we were purchasing but in reality they had drained the oil and not replaced it at all. We drove 3.5 hours back to Maryland with NO OIL at all!!! Then, if that wasn't bad enough, the service department lied about the tires on our vehicle that we purchased from them. Their dealership "inspection" said all 4 tires were good (6/32nds) but they were so completed bald they actually failed the Maryland inspection (2/32nds). We had to go buy new tires in order to pass state inspection and get reinspected so that we could get our vehicle registered. Then, the clerk at Bennett in charge of our car registration "forgot" to send the state our paperwork and so for the second half of January- over 2 weeks our truck was illegal to drive because the in transit papers had expired. So, we had to choose between driving illegally in Maryland (not advisable) and canceling life (out of state road trips to visit family, childrens' medical appointments, kids sports practices, tournaments, work, life in general) We did not have an extra $1000 to rent a car for 2 weeks and Bennett was clear that although they took ownership of their mistakes and apologized- they were NOT going to help us out. What a disaster! It was not worth the cost savings on the truck to be forced to go half a month without a drivable vehicle. Also, the truck could have been totally ruined by us driving with zero oil in it after Bennett told us it had new fresh oil in it and was ready to go. I have included pictures of our failed MD vehicle inspected and the Bennett service department's "inspection" which is total sham. I wonder what else they lied about regarding our truck. I really wanted to leave a wonderful review because the sales gentlemen are so kind and I do believe you can trust the sales dept. to follow through on what they tell you. They have integrity. They did reimburse us for the cost of tires and oil but what a pain in the ass all of that was. They did NOT provide transportation after screwing up our registration so I had no transportation for weeks. They didn't make that right. Because of everything that happened which resulted in us not being able to drive the truck that we purchased from them for a half month- I just can not recommend Bennett. Just don't go there for any reason. Even the professional top-notch sales department can NOT fix the hot mess that is Bennett Chevrolet. The reason people choose a dealership is to avoid all of these problems that we experienced. I won't go to a Chevy dealership again. Lesson learned. RUN from Bennett! Nicole was exceptional with assisting me with a pre owned Chevy Equinox. Car was clean and drives great! And no high pressure sales. Price was also good. The only thing was the internet shows a 'clunker' price but I didn't have a clunker to give them so it was $1,000 more than what showed as the internet price. I noticed a lot of car dealerships are doing the same thing but the other dealerships clunker trade credit is higher. Great Customer service! I brought my 2014 Chevy in (which I had bought through them) due to water leaking in from the roof sometimes. I was told they don't know what's happening, but here's $600 in other non-related repairs you should get (which of course were all discovered once my warranty was over). I brought it to a repair shop through my insurance, and the guys there couldn't believe that the dealership had not told me that it was the sunroof drain being clogged, a common thing that happens in this model (and proceeded to repair it in 30mins). How had they not known that and fixed it, or at least directed me in a better direction? Total rip off, don't go here, they are either stupid, liars or both. read more

I was returning a GM lease to this location since I moved from near Philadelphia to the Jersey Shore. I was interested in starting a new lease or possibly buying a new Chevy Trax from this location. I called GM ahead of time, and they said I can return the lease at Bennett. When I arrived, they said the lot was full and opened up the door to see me out. If I could give zero stars I would. I went to turn in a lease and was turned away because I did not have an appointment, funny, I don't need an appointment to purchase a car. A manager (very large man) don't know his name came up to me & asked if I purchased the car from them, I sad no but I do need to return it here because I just purchased a vehicle at another dealership & I couldn't drive two cars home. He replies sorry there's no one here to help you. Had to leave the car at the Kia dealership & drive 45 mins back up the road to bring it back down where I live to turn it in at another dealership (where I did not buy the car from) and it took a whopping 5 minutes for me to sign it over. LESS THAN ONE STAR!!!! The service department leaves a whole lot to be desired. It's always multiple appointments to get anything fixed, if they even fix it. I've had my Terrain in here multiple times for the same issues. They always say there is nothing wrong. I'm sure if it were a cash deal vs. warranty work they would find what's wrong. Be smart get your service done elsewhere. The picture shows my antifreeze leak from my 2015 Terrain that has been in TWICE because I told them you could smell the leak, twice I was told there was nothing wrong. This is a nightmare with Bennett Chevrolet in Pleasantville NJ not only that they do not have any customer service. Unprofessional conduct now it's not even about the tire issue from the brand new vehicle that my son bought from this dealership but because we have been posting reviews of the dealership of how they handle customer service our experiences with this dealership. The manager from Bennett Chevrolet in Pleasantville NJ has personally texted my 19-year-old son still an adolescent, on his personal cell phone telling him that if we do not take down the reviews, he will be contacting my sons employer for further action to be taken. Managers name at this dealership is Andrew Long We're not sure if he's a regional manager at this dealership, but he was the one who contacted my son with unprofessional messages my son has filed a police report against this person. My son feels threatened and bullied. This dealership has an F under the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU... the more reviews I post the more negative thanks we hear about this dealership. My husband and I just bought a brand new 2019 Chevy Suburban from Bennett Chevrolet on December 6th 2018. Our customer experience manager was Hanna Clayton who was brand new to the company and the car dealership world, but you would have not even known that unless she told you. From the moment we arrived to look at the cars, Hanna was there to answer every question and show us anything we were interested in. She was very polite, educated, well trained, and had everything covered. She did not pressure us on any vehicle and understood exactly what we were looking for. We did a few test drives with her and she demonstrated all the car features. She was very pleasant and listened to our feedback. A few weeks back, Hanna was with us for several hours as well and never made us feel like we were taking up her time. She did an inventory search and located a car that matched exactly what we wanted and said it be in soon and she would call us. The day that car arrived she texted us immediately to schedule a test drive. We came down there as scheduled and there was Hanna waiting for us right on time and no hold ups. Our future purchase was waiting for us right up front and ready to cruise. Hanna had our paperwork ready to review to show us the breakdown of the numbers and incentives. She assured us she gave us all the rebates and discount available for that model. There was no hidden fees and the numbers were accurate. She also made sure that our trade-in was not low balled and offered us more money than another dealership. After agreeing and signing the deal, Hanna continued to make our experience epic. She handle all the insurance changes and then set up all the apps online to use as one of the benefits of owning a Chevy. She also set up our OnStar and did a final goodbye as we drove away in our brand new Chevy! We would like to express how amazing Hanna was and Bennett Chevy lucked out finding a great person to grow within their company. We look forward to another experience in the future with her! I had one of the best Chevrolet experiences in the last ten years at Bennett Chevrolet. I walked in on a Friday afternoon to have two tires repaired, as well as an oil change. Robert was the great service associate who helped me. He said that I could get the word done, but I would have to wait. I was so happy that Robert gave me this spot today. Wow!! What a great vacation with my family!! However, 20 minutes into the trip home, our front propeller shaft bolts fell out with no warning!!!! Send the shaft to the ground with a loud thump. We quickly pulled over to assess the damage, when I realized what happened, 3 hours from home, I knew we were in trouble! I have towing thru insurance, but no rental. Not to mention $50 to my name( long story). So, I get the tow truck coming, and I begin to call dealerships for help and a ride for the 6 of us ( on a Saturday). The first 2 Place's I call, "sorry...it's Saturday " then on the third call I got ahold of a very understanding receptionist named Betty, who put me on the phone with Mark Disabatino, Bennett's top service writer, and boy was he!! Called to schedule a repair on my 2011 Suburban that I believed was under a recall (broken transmission dipstick tube). Mark took and verified my info, said they could help me and scheduled the appointment. I show up for the repair and now he tells me that the issue has already been fixed under the recall on my vehicle and that I am going to have to pay for it to be done again. This sounded strange to me...the recalled part has already been replaced and somehow managed to break again? Mark didn't think it was strange at all. I pressed him on this, telling him that I never brought it in for this to be repaired. I asked when it was repaired, could it have been done in conjunction with another service? He assures me, "This was fixed years ago" I once again try to find out the exact date of the supposed repair. Mark disappears for a few minutes and then returns with a different story...the repair was never done at all but the opportunity to have it fixed at no charge under the recall has expired so I have to pay for the repair anyway. Dishonest or incompetent, either way, I won't be going to Bennett for my new Suburban next year. read more

My first experience with this dealership was over the phone to get some quick information, that was all I needed. I was greeted by a very exciting, strong personality that was so cheerful and happy to help me. Rich Gonzolas had made me forget how much of a desaster of a day I was having! Being I live 45mins away and dont know my way around Egg Harbor where the dealership is located, it was very easy to find. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot I could feel the positive energy booming from the Salesman that was approaching me and that was Rich Gonzolas. I got there a bit later than I had expected and was expecting to be rushed but no such thing happened! Rich was all to willing to offer me anything I could possibly need, advice, information, drinks, snacks. He ran his butt of for us, got us the keys to ANY car that we wanted to see or were even just glancing at. I have NEVER had a more present experience at a dealership with a Salesman before! I see a number of negative reviews and wonder how many who have positive experiences don't take the opportunity to report them. After all, if everything goes smooth, most people are moving on with things. But I do not discount people who have reported negative experiences. Certainly no company is 100%. I do hope Bennett makes every effort to do the right thing and satisfy customers to their best ability. The company is obviously successful and always has a big selection of new vehicles. I have purchased and leased multiple new cars and 1 truck from Bennett. I honestly have not had a bad experience even though I always have the feeling that auto salespeople are somehow getting over on me lol. Chevy vehicles are of good quality so I've not experienced any significant quality issues. And when we did need service, the company has been very good about getting the job done. I highly recommend Bennett- had a small part replaced on the Bolt today 6-7-19. [ Bolt is a fantastic EV btw ] It was a plastic fascia piece in the front grill which cracked, maybe because of being sun-baked. The service staff changed it out quickly and wife was on the way. That's been our experience for a few previous issues, going back to the late 1990's! I had a miserable experience with a new car at the Ford dealer right down the road. Never again! July 21, 2011: I bought another new car today. And where did I go? Bennett Chevrolet of course. I had been looking at a number of different cars of all makes and models online. And then, I received a letter from Bennett Chevy regarding a good deal on trading in my 2007 HHR. I decided ot check them out, so I made an appointment to see Scott theri Internet Specialist/Salesman....and I had a list of maybe 3 cars I was interested in The new Cruze, the Equinox, and the Impala. So when I got there, I checked out all of them on my list. Scott didn't rush me at all. He took the better part of the day with me. And described everything about each of them. I took test drives too. I sort of felt like Goldilocks. The Cruze, for me (a seriously big wide fat guy) was too tight & too small. The new Equinox, seemed to be too big. But the Impala was juuuuussst right. This Impala was exactly big enough inside to afford me the kind of comfort I was looking for. It has al the bells & whistles I was looking for (and then some)...and is definitely one smooth ride. Scott went with me to where my wfe was working that day. He went into the store himself, found her, and brought her outside so I could see what she thought of this car. She loves it too. He offered me a great deal...so I bought the Impala. And it may sound a bit hard ot believe...but this Impala's a 6-Cylinder...but it actually has 1 more horsepower than my 327 cu. in. V-8 had that was in my first Camaro. And it gets up to 29 MPG. Which is not bad at all for a full sized car. So, onmce again...I highly recommend Bennett Chevrolt for anybody weanting a great car, and a great deal....and salesmen that aren't going toput pressure on you one way oor the other...and take as much time as you need to learn all the ins & outs about whichever model(s) you're interestedf.
