Short Version: SKIP IT Now for the details. Went there with two friends and all three of us sat throughout the meal just shaking our heads at how consistently we were disappointed: Service, Food, Value and Decor are all sub-par. It was medium-crowded at 7pm on a Thursday night, I suspect from all the "new restaurant" advertising they've been doing lately. Hey - it got us to come in! We were so excited to try out the new place but will never go back. Service: AWFUL. There were two very young men who were the servers. They couldn't keep track on who was seated first, gave water to some tables and completely ignored others (including ours, although we asked), we didn't get menus when we sat down and our waiter never showed up for a while so we had to go get our own menus. Any request for salad dressing or drinks was met with a looooooong delay. And there were so many times when there was not ONE restaurant worker to be seen in the dining area (no bus boy, no waiter, no hostess, nada!) for quite a while. Were they all out back for a smoke?? Also, no knowledge of the menu or drinks, and he kept forgetting what wine we ordered. Food: MEH. Caesar salad ($9) was "okay". The grilled bread was just that, bread grilled -so, no crunchy croutons here. The salad was a decent size and shared by 2 of us, however there was pretty much no dressing on it. Just a few drizzles on the top. That's NOT how caesar salad should be served. And the grated parm was all on the bottom of the plate (?). House salad (incl with entree) was a decent size but came with the wrong dressing. When we requested the correct dressing, along with extra caesar dressing, it took a loooooooong time to get it which meant we sat there for a while with salads in front of us we could not eat. [NOTE: when ordering, we asked What are the dressings? The waiter said "they're on the back of the menu" so we flipped it over and he made us read Each & Every entree salad description which contained within it the dressing used for that particular salad. Dude - learn the dressings, there are like only 5!!] Egg Rolls ($9) were tasty but tiny. I chose the buffalo chicken and bacon cheeseburger options (there's a third that's veggie-only). The 2 eggrolls were cut in 2, resulting in 4 small pieces on a plate smeared with ketchup. That's fine for the cheeseburger one, but the buffalo chicken needed a side of ranch, which we requested and got at no extra charge. Downside: not a crispy shell on the outside. I think these sat under a heat lamp for a while and got oily-soggy. Corned Beef Tacos ($7.50) were big and tasted good, however they'd be better in a soft tortilla as the crunchy one fell apart at first bite. And the corned beef should definitely be shredded or sliced!! Here is was cubed, which meant it was tougher to chew. Blackened Steak Panini ($13.50, includes salad) was just okay. The steak was simply grilled - not blackened. And there was no chipotle sour cream as noted on the menu, we had to request it (and then wait a while to get it!). Note: we ordered this without the bread, so it was just chicken and veggies on the plate, which was fine and expected. Decor: OLD! My two friends have been to this place in years prior as RVC natives and were so excited to see what the new place had become. They started laughing immediately when they walked in, exclaiming "it's EXACTLY the same!!" Think of the decor style as "1970's Brown". I mean, come on - at least update those awful antique chairs at the tables! BOTTON LINE: Avoid! New owners simply slapped together a new menu and changed the name. Service is young, inexperienced and sloooooooow. Decor is yuck. Food is Meh. read more

This is one of the best pubs I've ever visited. Actually my first. We greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Our waitress was super friendly. Food was delicious. Atmosphere is very laid back, friendly and chill. Feels like im eating in my family dining area. Drinks are great. Restaurant is located in a great place. Definitely check it out!!! read more

Went to Radigans for my fathers birthday. The prices are very reasonable. Food is what you would expect from a pub type place, serviceable. The service is very poor. Food came out very staggered. Some people had finished eating before others even got their food. Appetizers took a full 45 minutes to come out. Food came out about an hour after that. Full meal time took 2 hours 15 minutes. It was not crowded so their is really no excuse for the service to be so bad. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. This establishment used to be many of me and my friends favorite pubs to go to but the service has truly ruined it for everyone. We will never return. The bartender, the owners son, treated everyone with the worst attitude and made us feel uncomfortable for even trying to order water. You would think they'd appreciate a party of over 25 people coming in to enjoy a good time being that there were only four people at the bar when we got there. It's just unfortunate that we will never be returning to our favorite pub because of how rudely we were all treated. read more

Was invited here for my good friends daughters communion and had a great time!The new owner fixed up and brought what was a once a run down local watering hole to the next level where families and younger people can come to enjoy fine food and spirits,The huge wooden wrap around bar area w all the flat screens was great but what sold me was the spacious and accommodating dining area in the back where the party was, hardwood floors and columns give that tavern feel ,tables and booths were really comfortable, fireplace for the winter and overall good cozy feel, Service was good with the other staff and the food was much better than I imagined! Starter hors d'oeuvres consisted of all different types of tasty eggrolls consisting of cheeseburger, corn beef and pastrami, Buffalo chicken and mac & cheese balls, they were all scrumptious! Main courses my friend offered were rigatoni alla vodka chicken Francese, sausage and peppers, shepherds pie of course and rice veggies and salads, what stood out to me were the chicken francese sausage and peppers and shepherds pie!, delicious! Enjoyed delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere, with my family of 5, on Sunday night. We all ordered different entrees including chicken, veal, salmon and even Sheppard's pie! Each and everyone of us was completely impressed with our choices. Ample parking is available. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. My wife and I visited Radigans for lunch during the summer months and was pleased with our visit. We decided to try diner- WHAT A MISTAKE!!! A Monday evening at around 6:05 we entered Radigans bar crowded we stood by the door for about 5 minutes before some gentleman told us to sit anywhere (I think he was just a customer) we sat at a both which was 4 tables away from the door. We sat for about 5 minutes before someone came to our table. She took away the two extra place settings and asked if we wanted something to drink we ordered 2 diet cokes. While waiting for our drinks my wife and I BOTH said to each other "kind of cold in here" she took her coat and wrapped it around her legs I left my coat ON. Our drinks finialy came my wife told the waitress that it was cold in here her response "I have no control over the heat" We should of left right then and there!!! She gave us our menus and said she be right back ,about 5 minutes later she came back for our order we had a starter: potato skins we also ordered our main meal from the special menu we ordered the same steak with mashed potatoes and mixed veg. About 10 minutes later our skins come out a WHOLE baked potato cut in half ICE cold never saw the server to ask us if everything was OK with the starter about 30 minutes later she comes out and said diner will be right out takes the plates away, glasses are half full doesn't ask if the starter was OK or if we wanted more to drink -here comes diner at 7:15 by this time we are freezing the steak was about 1/8 of an inch thick- mashed potatoes about a table spoon worth (instant),the veg. mixed . The steak was FROZEN before cooking I would bet the steak was microwaved defrosted then cooked in a pan with the vegs. the steak had NO grill markings and was dry as could be NO JUICE ,mashed potatoes cold,veg hard and cold we weren't even done here comes the check were we asked if everything was OK NO, were we asked if we want coffee and deseret NO . I look at the check $71.00 a break down potato skins $10.00 - both steak dinners $56.00-cokes $5.00 ( plus tip) we left at 7:45 mind you NO ONE ELSE CAME IN FOR DINER!! I ordered a wedge salad and was very disappointed. This $14 salad which was a small portion and not even half as good as a salad from Subway. I was stuck on campus at Molloy College and everything was closed so I decided to walk the two blocks to find a healthy option. Perhaps their other options are better but I wouldn't recommend the Wedge Cobb Salad.it is definitely not worth the price. read more

This pubs genuine attempt at diversifying the menu truly worked. I walked in thinking potato skins and burger however once I got the menu, I quickly changed my mind. The appetizer menu looked so appealing that I wanted one of each. We ultimately went with the eggplant chips and the corn beef tacos. (See what I mean about diversifying). Both were outstanding. The entree.....well I did go burger. The TY burger, the turkey burger was very good. Overall, it was a nice neighborhood place. Easy to park. Good service. Good value. $140 for 4. Nice little spot. There's a big dining room in the back, wasn't expecting that at all. I thought it was strictly a small bar a chill place. They had a lot of HUGE tv's on with different things including the basketball game (whoo-hoo) and some sitcoms. There was some loud music playing from the dining room though which was battling the sounds of the tv, it was kinda weird. I had the Mac and cheese fritters they were super yummy. I don't know what that sauce was on the bottom but it worked well and it came with some bacon sprinkled on the side and well that bacon makes everything better so yay bacon I didn't drink so I just had a ginger ale the menu looks pretty decent it had paninis I remember her saying something about the special was done type of pasta and when she described (it I don't remember what it was) but it sounded delicious. They have salads, sweet potato fries (a lot of places don't, but some places have them and don't do them right but also didn't order them so I can tell you how they were) there's burgers, build your own burger options, wings etc. The menu looked very versatile it was a pretty cool place, nothing like what I expected for a bar/pub I think that's probably why I gave them 4 stars instead of like 3 for being mediocre pub. Good service, the bartender gets your name and introduced herself but she closed out your check quickly, it's kinda odd. Basically right after she clears out the plate she's like "anything else?" I said no so she goes "Ok so wanna Take care of that now or later" not in a rude way just idk I'm used to lingering at bars. And I was there for An open Mic so I was obviously gonna be there for a while. Lived here for many years and have seen this place in good times and in bad. Now it's back and it's back on the good side. Had the Shepherds Pie and it was great. My family and I went to Radigan's Pub last night for dinner and we were blown away! The staff is so welcoming and extremely kind. Our server was very attentive and didn't keep us waiting. The executive chef, Patrick Cotrell, is extraordinarily great with creating such delicious dishes. We had high expectations but I have to say this place exceeded them all!! The staff is good! But the Owner oh boy. Jon Taffer would have a field day.Bar Rescue Please help this place. Its a nice neighborhood bar, that's is in need of a major overhaul. Its winter maybe they could put the heat on. The place got a new paint job 2 years ago, but that's about it. The restaurant looks like it was done in the70's. Been there a few times for drinks and apps. once for dinner. The food is ok Bar food, the bartender is a sweet heart. She hustles like she owns the place and the owner stands and watches. The same can be said for the waitress, but if she is getting food from the back and a customer needs to be seated, well the owner will just let them wait. This place is a very comfortable place to either enjoy a drink or meal..my son lived a block away an convince me this local pub was a place to come . Alow me to explain that my son is a wine sommelier an has eaten in more 5 star restaurants thaan i have socks! To make an analogy. It was a nice menu with lots of usualy stuff a shamrock pub would have! The stuff was fresh, well prepared an the house Sheppard pie is woderful . I like a little more salt in my pie , Something you can do to your taste, The cob salad was as fresh as if the garden was in the back yard. An great service for one person behind the bar for 12 patrons.. boneless chicken wings were perfectly cooked not dry just the right crunch. Not cooked twice like many do to speed things up on the order. An finally my plate, Dads Ruben. Im a pastrami Ruben lover because it seasoned well an tasty. An cornbeef is usualy boiled to death with bland seasoning. So my son, He tells me it great, an he knows how i like it . Very nice pub! Our second time here. First time had me dreaming about returning for the corned beef. Second time, today, we brought in a very large party and couldn't be more satisfied. Great service, comfortable setting, wonderful food and drinks at reasonable prices. And ample free parking. Loved the appetizers and the great selection of entrees and sandwiches. This is my first time here since the new ownership. Overall I would say it has improved but not changed dramatically. Decor is still very outdated but this is not the place you go to looking for fancy decor anyway. I saw a delicious looking inside out grilled cheese appetizer on the menu online but it was not on the menu at the restaurant. I should have asked but there were several soups on the specials board I was interested in. I went with the lobster bisque and it was a huge portion for the price. It was a tad bit thin and didn't have a lot of chunks of lobster ( I prefer it creamy not chunky anyway) but the flavor was very and it was a huge portion for the price. Plus, the soup was served hot which is a must for me. The hot wings were not that spicy but were nicely cooked- crispy and had adequate sauce. We all had different burgers which were all large and cooked well. One was a special burger with bacon mixed in which was especially good. Service was friendly and generally well done. Although the young server was there by himself and it was starting to get busy. Lots of parking which is a plus. Overall, would try again. read more
