    Huevos Rancheros

Nice quaint place. It was not busy at 3:00pm on a Sunday. The service was good. The food arrived in a timely manner. They provide chips and salsa. the chips appear to be made in-house. very delicious, not too think or too thin. The salsa had great flavor and was not hot, which I appreciate. I ordered Huevos Rancheros. Reasonable prices. The rancheros sauce was a little more dense/thick than I'm used to. The flavor was nice, with a little more chili seasoning than I prefer, it taste more like an enchilada sauce but with onions and diced tomatoes; the rice and beans were wonderful. I also should have requested over medium as the eggs were fully cooked, I prefer a runny yoke. Over all, the meal was delicious. I will come again and try different dishes.

The food here is absolutely delicious! Service is good. Rafaelas is my personal favorite spot in Vista with very authentic horchata, I highly recommend. Chips and salsa are complementary and they're very good!

Beans and rice had a bad taste. Meat was to thick, unable to chew the meat or bite off a piece of meat without making a mess. Meat was to damn greasy.

Rafaela's is a family-run restaurant. They were VERY festive on Friday Night - someone celebrated a birthday, lots of people coming after work. It was a very local community establishment. They had a karaoke machine and the owner(?) was singing popular Mexican songs. They came around with a card so we could request one. It was LOUD, but reminded me of family parties I have attended, and so I also felt able to relax. Hubs spotted a flag from the Mexican state of Michaocan (hometown vibes) and I think he felt more relaxed too. Food was VERY filling and excellent. Green enchiladas with chicken and cheese, California burrito, homemade salsa - the green was excellent, even for our picky eater ;-). Beer and wine-based drinks only, so the Michelada was fine for me.

Charged me for a regular cup coffee but served it in a small water cup

Make sure they have regular size coffee cups before you order coffee. I asked if they made the sizes smaller, and she said, "No, we are just out of the regular size." I was already there for 25 minutes, so I didn't make it a big deal, but this isn't worth the$2.50 the waitress even told the one in charge they were out of cups. She said, "Let's go check," so I'm assuming when they checked, they saw they were out of cups, and she just told her to just serve in a little cup. Instead of coming back to the front and saying we are out of cups and giving me a refund.

This place was sooo good. It was suggested in a town group I'm in and I can understand why. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a salsa and things bar for you. The chips and salsa were good. The servings were HUGE, especially for the price. And the food was delicious. What more could you want?!

I spoke to Joana who is the waitress and cashier here at this family restaurant. She was very sweet, courteous, and helpful. She explained the two different sauces which were something new for me. One was a Jalapeño Cheese Sauce and the other I will just say delicious haha my coworker and I came from across the street to give it a try. I got the 2 carne asada tacos, freshly made by Rafaela. She is the jack of all trades in the restaurant; the Owner, the Chef, the Bartender. Although I only got 2 tacos, they were perfectly made. The tortilla nice warm and toasty. The carne asada was juicy! The salad you can tell it was super fresh! I know I'll be back to try more food. One thing that brought everything home for me was the fact they have a Juicebox that just gave me a comfortable feeling.

Our waitress, Samantha, was very accommodating and attentive. She made sure everything was just right and truly made us feel at home. It was our first time there, and we're really impressed by service , food and drinks. Especially since it was a busy Friday night. Comfortable and casual. Many sign posted about disruptive kids and pets. It was early on a Monday evening, so I don't know if they enforce or not. The fish and chips were cooked very well. The flavor was good on the fish. The fries were crispy. My only disappointment is they served the malt vinegar on small portion cups instead of the shaker bottle. Hard to get an even spread. The pazole and the Cole slaw were both very good. Our server was attentive and friendly. They have water stations - coolers with cups stacked nearby. To me, the water tasted old ( I know -makes no sense). It had a very earthy note to it like the coolers weren't adequately cleaned. Would definitely go back!!

This is a no-frills country bar through and through -- think boots, country music, and a local crowd unwinding after work. The place has three full-size pool tables and two dart boards, which is decent for the size. There's plenty of parking in the back lot, which is always a plus. I was told they offer free pool on weekdays, but I happened to show up during league night, so tables were reserved and I only squeezed in one quick game. Still had fun, but it definitely limited the experience. Beer-wise, prices are moderate (nothing crazy for the area), but the tap selection is pretty limited if you're hoping for variety beyond the usual domestics and a couple macros. The lounge area feels basic -- a few high-tops and bar seating that could use some upgrading for comfort. A couple of easy wins would take this place up a notch: adding an outdoor smoking patio (big miss for a country bar crowd) and expanding the beer taps. Those changes would make it way more comfortable for hanging out longer. Overall, it's a cool, laid-back dive if you're in the mood to shoot pool on a quiet weekday afternoon or evening. Nothing fancy, but it has that authentic local feel. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants affordable drinks, a game of pool, and zero pretension. Just check the schedule first so you don't hit league night! Would return on a non-league weekday.

The venue is large, a little bit away from the freeway, but had plenty of parking and space for patrons to enjoy a meal and beer. The space the event was hosted in always decently sized for the number of vendors they had. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer options. There was a decently expansive menu to choose from as well. I ordered a pretzel and beer, the ultimate brewery combination in my opinion. The beer was crisp and refreshing and the pretzel was perfect. The beer cheese was divine and paired well. My friend ordered the nachos which were massive. The only idea we had was the beer cheese should be the go to cheese for everything - it was so good it definitely elevated the nachos for us.

Street parking only, but wasn't too hard to find a spot as we came early. The restaurant is very nice and looks new. There is two dining rooms one towards the front near the bar area, and another in the back. We sent in the front for brunch. The menu had a good variety of items, and we decided to go with the chilaquiles and the shrimp and grits. I love Shrimp and grits, and it's not too common on menu's so i has to try it. The dish had pork belly instead of bacon, and shrimp. THe texture of the grits was very good, not too runny or too thick. The shrimp seemed good quality and not chewy or rubbery. I really enjoyed the dish and would order it again. The chilaquiles were an interesting take, not at all what you're normal chilaquiles would be. They come with lamb but we substituted with chicken. They were covered with a type of hollandaise sauce and we both thought they were good. I also ordered a breakfast shot that had bourbon in it, and a piece of pork belly on the top, and a shot of orange juice. It was pretty strong and very good. I would definitely order this one again, and the piece of pork belly they added on top was perfect.
