Ragazzi's is a good local restaurant in College Park. However it's not a very good place to watch the game, when it should be. There's not many TV's. The food and drink specials are pretty good and they have pool. But I think it's be a better spot if they had TVs. read more

I ordered online and went to pick it up at the time they said it would be ready. It was not ready when I got there, so I waited. I waited an extra 10 minutes before it finally came out. I ordered a pizza, salad, and the poppers. The pizza was mediocre, and after a 5-minute drive home it was already lukewarm. The salad was okay, but it was the poppers that stole the show. Love this little College Park pizza shop. Come here often for lunch and I'm always impressed with how delicious pizza is. I love that they have soup and they make it in the house and it's always so fresh and good. The service is usually quite quick for lunch, and the servers are very pleasant and take good care of you. 1-Star Review for Ragazzi's Pizza - Misleading Hours & Terrible Customer Service If I could give zero stars, I would. I called ahead well before closing (9 PM) to place an order for wings, only to be told that the kitchen was already shut down. Mind you, this was long before closing time. When I asked why, I was informed that the kitchen staff had already cleaned up, put everything away, and essentially decided they were done for the night--despite the fact that the restaurant was still open. The employee on the phone made it very clear that they had no interest in accommodating a paying customer and that it just wasn't "worth the hassle" to set things up again. This is completely unacceptable. If your kitchen closes earlier than 9 PM, then say so. Post it clearly on your website, on your door, or anywhere customers can see it. Don't advertise that you're open until 9 if your kitchen shuts down whenever the staff feels like it. It's misleading, lazy, and unprofessional. To make matters worse, the attitude of the employee I spoke with was dismissive and unhelpful, as if I was the problem for expecting a business to honor its own posted hours. A restaurant's success depends on its customers, but clearly, Ragazzi's management and staff don't care about that. They care more about closing up early and avoiding any extra work, even at the expense of customer satisfaction. The food might be decent, but what good is that if you can't rely on the business to actually serve it when they claim to be open? If you're looking for a place that respects its customers and values their business, look elsewhere. I certainly won't be back. read more

Had such an amazing meal & time at Ragazzi's. Mike, the bartender, was so friendly & accommodated every request we had. Even if the food wasn't fabulous (which it was), even if the atmosphere wasn't exactly what I needed (which it was), even if the price wasn't reasonable (again was happy with the value) I would/will return just to be able to chill with Mike! A College Park staple and a must. My wife and I regularly enjoy their clams pasta (they have also subbed mussels for us as well), fried mushrooms and gourmet pizzas. I was invited to a DIY pizza event on those location today and I have so many positive things to share! To begin with just how friendly the staff is, they were spot on. Parking is right in front and the location is well located. We started with some appetizers, my favorite was the cheese bread, omg SO good. Tonight my husband and I arrived at the restaurant at 7:38 pm hoping to order their delicious pizza. We were greeted immediately in a friendly manner and offered a seat. There was one problem, we were told the kitchen was closed, no food. Three people in the bar spoke up and said we are having a drink because we came here for food too, but no food. I asked if the owner knew his employees were closing early and I was told yes, he wants us to. Well, we didn't eat here, despite driving from Winter Park. The same thing happened about two months ago a bit later at 8:05 pm. Unfortunately, this will be the last time I attempt to eat here. I totally understand closing the kitchen a short time before closing, but 55 minutes was excessive the last visit and 1 hr 22 minutes is ridiculous. We love to eat here and I really don't want to take this off our restaurant rotation, however if you cannot count on them being open, it's better to go where they actually serve during their posted hours of business. This pizzeria is located in College Park on Edgewayer in a small strip mall. We were greeted by a friendly trio of their staff who honestly made an incredible first impression. We had ordered a large pie, ehich was a 16" pizza. This is a pet peeve of mine. I grew up in New Jersey, a large pie was almost always an 18" pizza. Anyway, it is what it is and it is still a good sized pizza at 16" piz,a. We actually got a pizza from here and a pizza from a pizzeria right down the street from this place. On a positive note for here, the four of us who did this side by side pizza comparison all said the pizza from here was better than their competitors. Prices were a little high. We wanted to try out a different Italian place and found Ragazzi's on Uber Eats. I opted to try shrimp scampi, my boyfriend ordered ravioli, and we got meatballs as an appetizer. The meatballs were very good. They had a good texture and flavor. I enjoyed my shrimp scampi. The sauce was light and flavorful and there was a generous amount of shrimp. I also tasted my boyfriend's ravioli and that was tasty as well. The meals come with garlic rolls. I wasn't a fan of these since they were kind of dry and not all that flavorful, but not a big deal. I can't believe this is my first review considering I've been here at least once a month for the last two years lol I mostly go for happy hour, which includes $3 beer, house wine and $5 appetizers (except for the mussels.) I've tried almost all the appetizers at this point, and can highly suggest the Veggie Bread, Bruchetta, Mozzarella Planks and Spicy Tenders. We tried the jalapeño poppers for the first time yesterday and they were good, but pretty standard. My husband (that annoying vegetarian guy) almost always gets French fries so we settled on the poppers but we'll probably go back to our good old veggie bread next time. The veggie bread btw is enough for two people, and then some! Lunch specials are also great, I usually go for a sub and salad (idk how or what or why but their house dressing is so yummy--simple but delicious), nothing is more than $9 for lunch. This particular day in addition to the poppers we got two slices of pizza, my husband's vegetarian Bianca add pesto, I had meatball and banana pepper. Now normally, I'd say mine was better but this time I have to admit I failed. His was way better than mine, and I'm still bitter about it. In fact, he's sleeping on the couch tonight. Just kidding, but I might go back and get a slice of Bianca with pesto behind his back and tell him later just to make him as jealous as I was with that slice. We've taken family here for half off appetizer nights (Monday), we've had date nights here (Margarita pizza) and we've had working lunches here. At some point the staff knew me, and my drink order when I came in. It seems a lot of staff has changed over after the lockdown but the food quality is still just as good, and the new staff just as pleasant. This place has gone downhill big time. We will start with the first mistake, me and my buddy both order chicken parm and a Caesar salad. His salad was nice mine was all end cuts of the romaine, so I sent it back. The next one looked like they chopped even more yummy dark bitter ends of romaine and put more parm on it to cover it up, tasted horrible. Next dish out is my chicken parm but not his, the chicken looked like more of a deboned thigh cut and barely had any cheese or marinara on it. Well anywho as I'm debating eating this crap my buddy had also ordered a slice of pizza so we were wondering where that went to or maybe when he will get his chicken parm, did that ever show up, nope. Then next dish is the pasta that was supposed be in place of my salad and was supposed to be ziti it was linguini and it was hard as a rock and not hot, precooked pasta topped with sauce. More garbage. Then eventually my friend got his chicken parm with a side of veggies and they looked and tasted like they were reheated from a Chinese buffets garbage bin then tossed in soy sauce. Man it is September 3rd and at 12:42 this place lost a customer. I a local of College Park. In fact I live two blocks front his establishment and go once a week for pizza. Typically I either walk with my dog or drop in at 5 pm for two slices. Today I decided to call for pick up for lunch instead of my usual. I called three times. The 1st time I was left on eternal hold and after 6 minutes, I hung up and called again. Again I was put on hold and and got left on eternal hold. I then called again and decided held for 4 minutes. I placed an order with whom ever picked up the phone. Midway They o said to the young lady, you know what I'll just come in since it would take a while for the to go order......... she just hung up the phone on me. My total was $8 and something change. Why would I go now to an establishment that I go to frequently and give them money for being rude to me. They pizza is really good but if you're just going to be rude about it while putting me on hold and then for deciding that I'm going to come in, then it's obvious they don't need my money. Someone really should give the lady who picked up the phone an etiquette class. Anyone have a suggestion on a good pizza place that isn't going to hang up on their customers or or be rude while putting people on hold?!? Oh and I get that it's lunch time and it's busy, maybe slammed. I give any establishment in the Covid era grace when you're slammed. I also work in the service industry and have share of rude customers. I get it, but pass on this. But that's not an excuse to be rude. My server/bartender recommended the pizza so I went with a slice of Bianca. It was pretty bland. Slices usually don't taste as good as freshly baked whole pies, but the ricotta wasn't salted and it lacked the traditional flavor of garlic. Not atrocious, but slightly disappointing. I also had a salad with blackened chicken. I was excited about the house dressing after reading another review, but it tasted like little more than red wine vinegar. Settled for ranch which was a basic, bottled, commercial version. There was also a hair in my salad. The chicken was tasty and I thought the pricing of all their food was a good value. For happy hour, any apps above $6.99 (with the exception of tenders and seafood) drop to that price. Lots of drink specials as well! We got a to-go order with a large antipasto salad, chicken parmesan and penna a la vodka. The salad wasn't bad. Veggies were fresh. So I can't complain there. But the penna a la vodka was terrible. And our salad was suppose to come with two garlic knots but they weren't included in the order. The Chicken Parmesan was just ok. The red sauce was the best part. The pasta unfortunately just tasted like the most basic boxed hard shell pasta.
