So we decided to come here because it's so close to the house and we come atleast once a month. The hostess sounded like she was sleepy or sad, she just asked if we wanted a table and then in a whisper said "follow me" we both looked at each other not sure if that's what she has said but followed, pointed to a table and walked away. Didn't say who would be our server didn't give us silverware or menus, nothing. It wasn't until the bartender noticed we were just waiting that she asked who had our table. We waited a bit for a server and almost contemplated leaving, then our server came. Brittany really turned it around and made it one of our best experiences here, ever. She was very spot on and one of the fastest servers we had ever had here. When we said that there was something wrong with an item instead of making a face like past waitresses have done, she went to the kitchen took care of it and came back and made sure everything was going great! We'll make sure to ask for Brittany next time we come as well!

Stopped in on a slow week day evening. Place was not busy and condition is a bit on the shabby side. Still, the server was great and wings were hot. Beer was cold. Will be back!

You gave my order to the wrong Uber driver. My "Caesar salad" was a box of lettuce. I requested ranch for my sons wings, we got nothing. Won't order from here again, definitely won't visit the restaurant.

Went with my dad here and sat at the bar on a Wednesday evening. Very friendly staff, a great atmosphere to enjoy some relaxation and a good meal. The chicken sandwich I had was amazing, very flavorful and fresh ingredients. To be honest, much better than the Wing House I have been to in Doral close to home. Stop in if you're in Orlando!

Fun night tonight. A few friends decided the winghouse. We arrived on the door and many waitresses greeting us. We pick a seat and this place is not pack. The restaurant have many TV but not many customers paid attention to the games. I wonder why:). I have order the Moscow Mule, lemon pepper char grilled wing and blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich. The food came out on time. The Moscow Mule is a bit diluted and not serve in the tin cup. The best dish will be the char grilled lemon pepper wing. It is very tasty. My friend have the 20 buffalo wings and he love the sauce. The blackened Mahi Mahi is too dry and a bit charcoal. The service is good and our waitress is alert. She did a very good job.

Fried pickles. Comes with cucumber dipping sauce.

Came on fight night for UFC. A great bar with specials available for the weekdays. My only complaint is that the parking lot is too small.

The lowest Martini I ever had.

Great Vibes, but Walk-Ins Beware: Make a Reservation First!…read more As a huge soccer fan, I was really excited to check out Walter's Tavern for the USA v Australia game. The vibes here are absolutely amazing, they have plenty of TVs, making it look like the ultimate spot to catch a game. We arrived an hour before kickoff expecting a classic sports bar experience, but unfortunately, the logistics fell short for walk-ins. Despite seeing quite a few empty tables, every single one of them had a "Reserved" sign. It turns out Walter's operates essentially on a reservation-only model for big game days, though this isn't clearly advertised beforehand. Because the tavern uses a QR-code ordering system at the tables, the kitchen and bar prioritize those digital tickets. We tried to pivot and order directly at the bar, but the staff was understandably overwhelmed fulfillment-side, meaning bar walk-ins face a massive backlog. When I asked if a table for two might open up, staff confirmed nothing would be available without a prior booking. We ended up leaving to grab food and drinks next door, at the Great Southern Box company which was a bummer because we specially came to enjoy Walter Tavern. Tip for Patrons: Do not risk walking in close to game time, even if you are an hour early. Book a table in advance so you can actually utilize the QR system and enjoy the space. Operational Feedback for Management: You have a beautiful venue and great energy! However, for a sports bar, the infrastructure currently leaves walk-ins stranded. Consider leaving a dedicated percentage of tables open for walk-ins, or adjusting the QR/bar queue priority so guests at the bar aren't left waiting indefinitely.

I visited Walter's Tavern during the SHRM Annual Conference, arriving approximately one hour before…read morea FIFA match with the intention of enjoying a meal, cocktails, and networking with other conference attendees. As an HR Director with a background in hospitality, I tend to view customer service through a unique lens, and unfortunately, this experience fell well below expectations. Upon arrival, a man who was later identified as General Manager Zack Zeisloft approached our party of three women and immediately stated that we likely would not be able to find seats. He did not introduce himself, wear a name tag, or have any identifiable attire that distinguished him from other patrons, so the comment seemed unusual and unhelpful. When we entered, however, there appeared to be plenty of available seating, with only a few tables displaying reserved signs. We selected an unmarked bench area and moved a single unused chair from a nearby table so that all three members of our party could sit together. After we had already ordered food and cocktails and begun enjoying our visit, Zack approached from behind, leaned over our table, and loudly accused us of taking one of his reserved chairs, adding that it was "not very nice." The interaction felt abrupt, confrontational, and completely out of proportion to the situation. Because he had never introduced himself, we still had no idea who he was at that point. Had he approached professionally and simply explained that the chair was needed for a reservation, the issue could have been resolved in seconds. When our server later checked on us, we mentioned that a man had approached our table and spoken to us in an aggressive manner about a chair. After describing him, she appeared unsurprised and commented that he could be like that sometimes. While I understand this was an informal conversation, it reinforced our perception that the behavior may not have been an isolated incident. What was most concerning occurred afterward. Following our discussion with the server, the same individual returned to our table. Having been told by the server that his name was Zack, I asked him directly, "Are you Zack?" He responded, "No." When I then asked what his name was, he replied, "I don't know." At the time, we still had no idea that he was the General Manager. This response was dismissive, unprofessional, and inappropriate for any employee interacting with guests, let alone the person responsible for leading the establishment. I ultimately had to look up Walter's Tavern online after leaving to determine who he was and confirm his role. To Zack's credit, he quickly located another chair, and we genuinely were unaware that the original table was reserved because it was not clearly marked. However, hospitality is not simply about fixing problems--it is about how guests are treated when those situations arise. Respectful communication, accountability, and professionalism should be expected from management. The food, drinks, and service provided by our server were enjoyable, but the interaction with management overshadowed the entire experience. Guests should feel welcomed and valued, particularly when visiting an establishment known for hosting events and gathering professionals from around the country. Unfortunately, that was not our experience at Walter's Tavern.

Naturally, I celebrated by heading to Hideaway for breakfast. While I'm not a regular, I've been visiting Hideaway for years. The original location across the street had a classic smoke-filled dive bar atmosphere, and I could tell stories all day about memorable experiences there. Those stories are best saved for another time. The new location is unquestionably an upgrade in comfort and appearance, though it lacks some of the character and smoke that made the old place so memorable. Fortunately, the things that matter most remain intact. The beer is still ice cold, the drinks are solid, and the food is consistently above average at prices that are hard to argue with. This particular morning, I grabbed a seat at the bar and took advantage of their $5 breakfast burrito (available before 9 AM). The menu lists bacon or ham as protein options, but I was also offered sausage, which I happily chose along with the eggs and cheese. I'm glad I did. The sausage was nicely rendered with crisp edges that delivered little flavor bombs throughout the burrito. Wanting to dress things up a bit, I asked for pico de gallo. My server laughed and replied, "This is a dive bar," before offering salsa instead. Fair enough. The salsa, combined with a generous squeeze of their hot sauce, turned out to be exactly what the burrito needed. In fact, it was so good I briefly considered ordering a second one to go. Then I could practically hear my doctor whispering in my ear, advising restraint, so I reluctantly passed. For those unfamiliar with Hideaway, it's also a major Miami Dolphins fan destination. Whether you're a Dolphins fan or not, I highly recommend experiencing one of their game-day watch parties at least once. The atmosphere is electric and one of the more unique sports-viewing experiences around. My only minor gripe was being charged an extra dollar for the small container of salsa, and it wasn't even pico de gallo. Not enough to ruin an otherwise enjoyable visit, but enough to earn a raised eyebrow. Overall, a great breakfast, a little nostalgia, and a fitting way to celebrate a positive doctor's visit.
